“Hillary and her family are amazing! We live about 40 minutes away, but as soon as we got there, we immediately felt like their land was a perfect place for dogs to play. So, it was worth the drive! Hillary was so kind and her kids were very friendly. Daisy felt comfortable in their home right away. She had another puppy staying there over the weekend and her own dog Joshua. I was a little worried about how my puppy would do with other dogs and children, but seeing her play with them before I left was so comforting. Hillary has a background in puppy training and I could tell just by how she interacted with Daisy and the other pup. Hillary was great with communication and sent pictures every day! Daisy always looked happy and having a wonderful time! Most of the time, when I send Daisy somewhere, I feel sad knowing she’ll spend the majority of the time in a crate, but this was the complete opposite! “Tina was so wonderful! I was a bit nervous going in as this was the first time I was leaving my 8 month old puppy with someone that I did not know. We set up a meet and greet during which my pup, Maizy displayed some anxiety, but Tina was not deterred. She knew Maizy needed to warm up at her pace and she got some treats right away to help build up some trust! She sent pictures and really helped me feel at ease that Maizy was well cared for! About: Please note we are in Troy near Zions Crossroads (about 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and 15 minutes from Lake Monticello). Hi, my name is Katina. I have been caring for dogs as long as I can remember. My earliest memories include setting up agility courses for my german shepherd in my backyard. To say I have a passion for dogs is an understatement. I recently quit my job to pursue dog boarding full time and I could not be more excited to spend all day with your pup(s)! We spend lots of time on play, exercise and enrichment. Our yard is set up similar to a dog park meaning we have two separate fenced areas for dogs comfort. We have one small fenced area (4ft fence) to accommodate small, elderly, timid and handicapped pups as well as a large dog park sized fenced area to accommodate more playful mid sized pups (6ft fence). We also have a whole home generator for added peace of mind. When the weather is nice we like to spend a lot of time outdoors Health and safety is our top priority. We have a zero tolerance policy for aggression. If your dog shows signs of aggression during their stay they will be quarantined for the remainder of the stay and not accepted back. In order to board with us your dog must be friendly with EVERYONE this includes children (even though none are present in the home, they do come and visit), the elderly, cats and other dogs. Please provide proof of rabies vaccination (I need a copy of the in date certificate that is signed by your veterinarian). Please ensure your dog(s) are free from fleas ticks and intestinal parasites. Our storage space is limited so please only bring food (put food in ziplock bag and write pets name on the bag) , medications/supplements, and a leash. We will provide toys, treats, bowls (we have a variety of sizes both regular and slow feeder), crates if your dog needs one and plush bedding. Please ALWAYS pack extra food. We will not be able to fulfill requests to withhold water from your dog, so if this is something you require please choose another sitter. Please provide an emergency contact who is willing to pickup your dog(s) in case of emergency. Drop-offs/Pick-ups are between 8A-8P by appointment only. Please keep pickup/drop off timeframes to a 30 minute window. I’m a medical student, so I will have to be gone a few hours in the morning, but after that I can cater to any of your animals needs. I get up around 7 AM and head to get around 11:30. I always take frequent breaks throughout the day to stretch my legs and get some sun. Whatever you need, I’ll make sure your pet is well loved and appreciated! My house is always very clean and very spacious. I also live right next to a park and go for walks by myself regularly. Whenever I watch my friends animals, I bring my own food and activities and leave the place better than I found it.

About: Hi! I'm Heather — a lifelong animal lover who has rarely spent a single day without a dog by my side. I've been caring for dogs my entire life and currently share my home with four dogs of my own — a 9lb Chihuahua, a 9lb Yorkie-Chi mix, a 50lb Lab mix, and a 75lb Red Retriever — plus a cat and some fish. Safe to say animals are my life! After losing a beloved dog who was poorly cared for at a kennel, I became passionate about providing the kind of attentive, loving care that every pet deserves. I know how much trust it takes to hand your fur baby to someone else — and I take that seriously. I'm available for drop in visits, dog walks, and house sitting. I'm comfortable with all sizes and breeds and happy to accommodate cats too. I'm home all day with four dogs of my own, so visiting or caring for your pet fits naturally into my day. I'm available mornings, afternoons and evenings and can be flexible around your schedule. I follow your instructions exactly — feeding schedules, medications, special routines, off-limit areas — nothing is too detailed. I grew up understanding that pets are family members, not just animals, and that the trust you place in someone entering your home is significant. I take that seriously every single time. You'll always receive photos and updates during every visit so you know your baby is happy and well cared for.

I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents always know their furry family members are happy and well cared for. I’m able to help out on Monday-Friday or Saturdays and Sundays. About: I will walk, bathe, and feed your precious loves. I will make sure your babies are loved and cared for. If you don’t like something for your animals, I won’t do it. Willing to negotiate if you have multiple dogs , or cats if you have cats. I will make sure your lovely animals are happy and well taken care of while under my supervision and care. I don’t allow animals on my bed but they are allowed on my futon, if you may have special ways of taking care of them I will make sure they are taken care of the way you want them to be! I love animals and want them happy! Willing to travel and stay at your home with your animals if that’s what you’re more comfortable with! I’m currently not working, so my time and attention is 100% on your loved animals. I will make sure your baby is loved and taken care of. I have an unfenced yard but i do have a leash & a dog cable so i can have your dog outside getting some sun and enjoying the weather. I have 1 dog that can keep your dog company!

After every visit, I’ll send you updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds since I was a little kid. I would babysit neighbors kids and take care of their animals while they were away. Friends, family, and neighbors have all relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe their best friends. I have experience in caring for animals of all ages! I will give them plenty of love, play time, walks, snacks (if its okay with you), and will treat them as if they are my own. I live in an apartment complex with its own dog park and I am a frequent visitor to Ruff Canine Club and Barker Field dog park as my 1 year old Brussels Griffon loves to play there! I have two 13 year old kitties who are very chill. They have been around dogs their entire lives and are unphased by them.
About: I’ve been taking care of family, friends, and neighbors pets since I was 10 years old. I’ve taken care of animals of all ages from puppies to senior animals. I work at a school, so this is not my full time job. It would be best to contact me directly for my availability and to figure out what works best for you and your pet(s). I prefer to do meet and greets so I can see the pet(s) usual environment and learn more about where I’ll be staying. I never take pets outside without a leash on for safety reasons.

“Hillary and her family are amazing! We live about 40 minutes away, but as soon as we got there, we immediately felt like their land was a perfect place for dogs to play. So, it was worth the drive! Hillary was so kind and her kids were very friendly. Daisy felt comfortable in their home right away. She had another puppy staying there over the weekend and her own dog Joshua. I was a little worried about how my puppy would do with other dogs and children, but seeing her play with them before I left was so comforting. Hillary has a background in puppy training and I could tell just by how she interacted with Daisy and the other pup. Hillary was great with communication and sent pictures every day! Daisy always looked happy and having a wonderful time! Most of the time, when I send Daisy somewhere, I feel sad knowing she’ll spend the majority of the time in a crate, but this was the complete opposite! Daisy basically got a vacation while we were gone. Haha. Thank you, Hillary! We really appreciate you!”

About: I’ve taken care of pretty much all kinds of animals in my life! Dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, chickens… I’m a current dog mom to 4 pups. One of which is a cancer dog, so I’m very familiar with giving medication if need be. We also have a 1 year old puppy + are very refreshed on puppy life! I love any + all animals— they’re my “people”. I currently work mornings- 2pm ish Monday Tuesday and Friday so can come for afternoon walks/visits! I’m available Monday thru Friday. Available some weekends with prior notice if is suits. I have plenty of dog leash walking experience + can keep my eye on your pups! We love to host dogs in our home as it gives us the little bit of love to go around without the need of getting more of our own.
