“Very highly recommended! Chantal and her husband were great caretakers for our two dogs for a week’s time — even more than we could have expected. They have a beautiful, spacious, safe place — both indoors and for when they had to go outside. My husband and I felt 100% comfortable leaving them there while we were away. From the beginning during our meet-and-greet through pick-up at the end of our trip, we saw just how kind and calm they were, treating our dogs just like their own dog and providing lots of interaction and play. Also, Chantal was extremely accommodating of our 7 month old puppy’s “puppy behavior” and attentive to the need to go outside more frequently. She provided updates every day (and was very responsive to other questions) and we could see just how relaxed our pups were, as if they were staying with family. About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life. From housetraining puppies to caring for aging senior dogs, I have experience with a range of personalities/quirks and am very comfortable with large or hyperactive dogs and rescues. My older Beagle, who I cared for for more than 13 years, had a seizure disorder and in the final months of her life, we administered IV sub-Q fluids to her every 2-3 days, so I have experience with caring for pups with medical needs and I can administer medication. I also have 5 years of experience volunteering in a high-volume animal shelter, working predominantly with large dogs, so I understand how animals might behave when they are in a stressful environment and interacting with an unfamiliar person. I strive to provide a stress-free, comforting environment while you are away so please let me know what your pup loves the most! What you can expect: — Time outdoors, playing or on leashed walks — Cuddles and belly rubs — Lots of (approved) treats — Every effort to stick to your pet’s routine and establish clear boundaries! I can provide in-home doggy day care and boarding with a prior meet and greet* if your dog gets along with the two dogs in our home. Your pup will never be left alone with my dogs when I’m providing doggy day care or boarding, so I do require them to be crate-trained for overnight stays. “I have so many beautiful things to say about Mary and her family! You can see the love in that house from the start, and she was so understanding about the personal needs of my dog. My dog was a rescue and can be easily intimidated, which makes her a little edgy, but she was given the space and love she needed, and seemed to thrive at their home. She sent photo updates and kept me in the loop the whole time, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the trip I was on. When I got back, my dog didn’t even seem like she was anywhere but home. She was such a happy girl. I’m so so so so grateful I found Mary!! I’ll be taking a trip next month and will definitely use her again. Really can’t say enough about her.
