About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours SUNDAY thru WEDNESDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. About: I've worked in animal welfare & shelters since 2015. I have lots of experience working with dogs and cats with various personalities and needs. I personally own 3 dogs and several cats all at various ages. One of my cats is disabled- and I've owned and worked with dogs and cats that have special needs (seziures, CH, deaf, blind), take daily medications, and possess specific breed traits/personalities that can't make them difficult to manage. Currently work remote and have a large amount of flexibility in between travel for work. I can prov8de limited boarding in home- dogs must be able to coexhist with cats, be able to be crated and/or left in a single room unattended, and be respectful of baby gates. I do have a separate space for cats that is easier to manage. Current cats in the home do free roams but there is an entire space devoted to the dogs in the home. Can crate and rotate as needed and care for up to 2 dogs if everyone can get along. In your home I prefer to stick to as close of a routine that you provide them with- from their potty breaks to morning and evening walks. Staying as consistent as possible can help provide a relaxing trip for you and your pet.

About: I have grown up with animals. Dogs and cats are at the top of the list. I've been around domesticated animals all of my life. My first kittens at my young age was two siames kittens Who had 2 litters of kittens as well as having to toy poodle dogs, that had two litters of puppies twice. About: My first two pets were 2 doggies at 9 months old. I had them for 17 years until they left for doggy heaven October 2024 and February 2025… I am not ready to fully commit again quite yet so decided babysitting and loving on others’ furbabies will help the healing. Work from home all week. Will be able to take care of them in home and overnight if needed! I will accomodate to all requests and needs. Will appreciate details such as age, allergies, health, likes and dislikes. Will treat your baby/babies like they are my own. Originally she started off walking our lab and terrier mix and they both absolutely adored her. Then we unexpectedly had to put our terrier down and she missed him just as much as we did. A month later we rescued our yorkie and she didn’t hesitate taking him on. He wasn’t leash trained, was scared and just over all a traumatized dog. She helped him walk on a leash, carried him when he needed to be carried and loved him through. We are devastated at her moving and not being able to care for our boys anymore. We always knew they were in good hands with her. Sariah thank you so much for taking care of our boys as we would and loving them. You will be missed dearly.”

They worked with him several different ways to get him to take it because my dog wouldn't follow the way he does for me at home. I apprecaited their patience and care. I received updates very quickly on the first day. After that, the updates were less frequent, but when I reached out to ask, they were quick to respond. My dog went with them happily which set my heart at ease. This was the first time I had left him with someone other than family. When I picked him up, he was glad to see me, but didn't appear to be anxious or traumatized in any way. When we visit Williamsburg again, I will definitely check with them to keep my dog again.”
“Lisa was so great. Our usual rover was out of town, and generously referred us to Lisa! We did a meet and greet and it went great. Dropped Carolina off for our weekend trip, and she had a great time before we had to unexpectedly head back home from the airport after multiple delays causing us to miss our connecting flight and not make it out after all. Lisa responded quickly and we were able to pick up our girl on the way home from the airport. Lisa was so understanding and flexible during this stressful evening. Carolina was excited to see us just 5 hours after pick up, but we know she had a great time while she was there. Will definitely use again in the future. Lisa was so great about getting us refunded for the rest of the weekend because of the circumstances out of our control. We love Rover and gain so much ease having our girl in someone else’s home rather than being boarded at a kennel. Thank you again, Lisa!”
