“Walter and his family are amazing! He provided consistent updates with pictures and was very accommodating to my short notice request. I will be using him again for sure!”

“I can’t say enough great words about Cindy. She took great care of our precious Hank. She sent photos during his stay. She responded quickly and so friendly to our text whenever we checked in. Our fur baby was treated like her own during our vacation. 150% would recommend Cindy to care for your baby and would use her again and again!”

“Alexsys took great care of both of my dogs. She was very communicative through the week she had them. She was very accommodating and understanding to my dogs needs. I would highly recommend her!”

“Yzabella took such wonderful care of Marley, and he had a great time with her and her family!! She kept me updated throughout his stay by sending pictures and videos, which was so appreciated and showed how happy and well cared for he was. I’m also incredibly grateful that she was available on such short notice. Her kindness, reliability, and genuine love for animals truly stand out. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet! 🐾”

“Yogi enjoyed his stay. I like that there are options. Dogs can stay in the house. But if they are more comfortable outside, she has a deck with access to a fenced in grass area. Good communication. No problems.”

“Our Yorkies were very well taken care over the two weeks we were away on vacation. Linda was kept busy with medication administration, special food needs and even a trip to the vet! We couldn't have chosen a better sitter, and she gets a five star review from the entire family.”

“Mila loved staying with Joel and Janelle! She came home so happy and healthy. I loved the communication and flexibility they provided, and all the pictures they sent during her stay!”

“Kalley was amazing!! I needed a new sitter as my previous sitter stopped doing in-home boarding, and Kalley was phenomenal. She was very attentive and kept me updated daily on how Marley was doing via text and pictures. I knew he was extremely comfortable in her home which really put me at ease. Thank you Kalley to you and your family for taking such good care of Marley!”

“Rosie just loves staying with Allison so I took my grumpy old man Tumbles too. He had a great time and I didnt worry one bit while they stayed over night with her. Book with her, you won't regret it@”

“If you're ever looking for a place for your fur kids to stay while you go out of town, I highly recommend Laura. I have 2 neurotic cats; 1 has CH that does not like getting confined in crates/small place and the other is spicy/moody. The stay was short with a (somewhat) unusual request, but Laura took them all in stride and went the extra mile to look after Sam and Cloud. Definitely one of my best rover experience and would not hesitate to ask her again in the future.”

“Katherine took amazing care of Luna. We got regular pictures of her everyday. She played frisbee with her and walked her. I was impressed with her knowledge of handling dogs right off the bat. We will definitely look to use Katherine for pet sitting again and I would recommend her to anyone!!!”

“We made a last minute booking with Lori and her husband for oue 4 Belgian Malinois. Yes, 2 adult Malinois and 2 under a year. I thought for sure they would say "he'll no" or charge an arm and a leg. I couldn't have been more wrong! Lori and her husband not only gave us a great deal and said yes! They welcomed all 4 of our crazy girls with open arms. They communicated daily, sent us pictures, let the girls play several times a day and loved on them just as we do. I felt so safe knowing they have experience with this breed and are also dog trainers. They knew just how to handle our girls and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience start to finish. Thank you so so much for keeping our girls safe and happy while we took a much needed family vacation! We will absolutely rebook!”

“Barbara took amazing care of my anxious dog. She provided daily updates of how my dog was adjusting. Thankfully, my dog adjusted quickly and had a wonderful time playing with Dobby and the daycare dogs. I was only a little worried my dog wouldn't want to go home because Barbara took such great care of her.”

“We always feel reassured that our pup is taken care of and they’re happy to have her. Daisy is treated like the princess she is. I highly recommend their family to watch your beloved pets.”

“Gabby is awesome! She took such loving care of our dog, offering updates and adorable photos throughout the stay. Came back to a happy and well-cared-for pet. Highly recommend Gabby!”

“Whitney was incredible good with my little one. She took care of him very well when I was sick. And Tokyo had a great time with her dog Feather. She sent me lots of pictures and lmk all the time of how was my dog, and I appreciate that very much. Thank you Whitney!!!”

About: I’ve been in the general field of caretaking for about 6 to 7 years. I was a full time nanny to a family of 7 children and 3 dogs for a few years before I married, and before that, I had multiple families for whom I watched their little ones, including the family dog/dogs. I also did some exclusive pet sitting apart from my previously mentioned work experience. I managed both kids and pets at once. I’ve gotten to know a variety of dog breeds. Growing up, we always had dogs. We’ve had a labradoodle, a few small mixed breeds, and a bernedoodle. Our bernedoodle, Rocco, I trained myself. He is the gentlest dog I’ve ever met and so smart. I taught fun tricks but also some useful ones like how to ring bells to indicate he needed to potty. I have loved being around dogs and having them in my life. We don’t currently have a dog since my two kids are young, so we can’t afford our own pup right now, although we certainly will get one in the future. That’s why I’m so excited to be able to provide other people’s dogs a warm and welcoming home away from home where they will be loved on and feel at ease. I’m a full time stay at home mom, so I’m almost always home. Apart from grocery shopping, minor errands, church on Sundays, or the rare trip to families, we are home all the time. Dogs that stay with us will have pretty much constant companionship and attention. We will be available for drop offs everyday except most of Sunday. Sunday evenings will be open though. Dogs that love a family environment will thrive here. We are usually up for the day around 7:00 am. My son loves dogs and will happily have a full conversation with them. He has grown up around many dogs because my mom has dogs and is a seasoned rover sitter herself. My husband works in the evenings so dogs will probably stay up and hang out with me as we unwind. We have a fenced in backyard so I can sit on our deck and let the dogs run, play, and potty easily and frequently. We live on a very quiet and friendly Cul-de-sac in the mountains of West Virginia, near Winchester. Dogs that come here will have a peaceful stay and have a lot of fun!

“Chris and his family is awesome special thanks to Carla Chris Mom who even keep us updated with everything all the time and take care of our snuggle just like his own baby our snuggle feel like he is living in his own home while we were away for vacations for whole week. Chris is attentive, loving, prompt, flexible, friendly, very professional & very good with dogs . He also has excellent communication skills. Chris is reliable and you can feel comfortable leaving your dog with him it’s second time we left our baby with Chris and his family. He provided daily text updates with lots of pictures. Thank you once again Chris and his Mom and Dad for taking care of our baby snuggle. Snuggle will definitely miss you guys especially Carla and will come back to you guys whenever we go again in future.”

“So very pleased with Melissa. She checked in daily on Sammy and always sent photos and a detailed — often humorous— update on how he was and what he was doing. I will definitely hire Melissa again and highly recommend her.”

“Kimberly is a great pet sitter. She watched my three indoor cats while I went on vacation. She sent me many pictures of my cats which I appreciated so much because I missed them. She took wonderful care of my cats and I would have her watch my cats again.”

“Lauren was excellent to work with. Our experience was that she was reliable, caring and a great communicator. Thank you for taking such good care of our cats while we were away!”

“Hailey is amazing! She’s so patient, kind and loving with our sassy fur babies - and goes the extra mile to love and care for the cats that live in our yard! She’s handled some stressful situations with our cats while we were away and I couldn’t be more grateful to have someone so compassionate watch over our cats while we’re gone.”

“Charlotte is very knowledgeable and reliable. She took good care of my cats while we were out of town. I will book her again and highly recommend Charlotte for pet sitting services.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Courtney! I accidentally booked the wrong weekend for our cat care, and as soon as I realized the mistake and contacted her, she immediately offered to head right over to take care of my kitty. That level of kindness, flexibility, and reliability meant so much to me, especially while traveling over a holiday weekend. She stayed for at least a full hour each visit, sent tons of photos and detailed updates every day, and clearly spent quality time making sure my cat was comfortable and cared for. The updates really helped me relax and enjoy my trip knowing my kitty was in such good hands. I truly appreciated her responsiveness, professionalism, and genuine care for animals. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and thoughtful sitter!”

About: Everyone calls me when they need a reliable and dedicated pair of hands to watch over their children. Yes, I treat every dog like a furry child. I've helped raise dogs from 6 weeks to 16 years old. The young and the old need a little more attention and I'm happy to help. Those terrible 2's just need extra attention, and I'm happy to provide that too! I love all animals and will probably treat the kids like royalty. I prefer the company of dogs than my friends, they could vouch for that! I'm both loving and also stern because I've raised both labs and pitties. They require different types of parenting techniques, and I am equipped to handle anything. I work full time, and over time when it's available. I'm happy look after our friends around town. My availability will be based around my work and my, now, 4 kiddos at home. I can adjust weekly routines to incorporate pickup/drop offs, stop in visits, after work walks, or overnight stays. I treat dogs like they are our kids. I talk to them, I cuddle with them, and I use positive reinforcement to train good habits. I've helped raise a dozen dogs and each dog likes to show you how they like to be treated. I learned this lesson the hard way when I was raising dogs and had to learn different techniques to train each of them individually. Labs learn and function much different than bulldogs and pitbulls. I treat each dog the same regardless of size or attitude. Though I may give them some attitude when mouth off, like I do with my pitty at home (lol). I'm a safety first kind of person when it comes to our kids. So I tend to lean on the side of caution and extra equipment when interacting with most dogs. I always keep extra dogs supplies in my truck at all times as I have been known to that guy who stops traffic to try to rescue a dog. I've done this probably 6 or 7 times.
About: I’ve been dog and cat sitting since elementary school, starting with walking my cousins' dogs and caring for them while they were away. I also have extensive experience with feline care, spent hours socializing with friends' cats, and dropped in to feed them when owners were out of town. I work from home and set my own schedule so I’m available for dog walks and cat drop-ins every day of the week from morning through afternoon. When caring for pets I like to follow exact instructions for feeding, potty breaks, and playtime since all pets have their own quirks. I always ensure the home is secure, clean, and locked up before I leave.

About: I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. As someone who values patience, reliability, and attention to detail
“We rehired Alex to look after our big dog Rocky again for a week while we celebrated our anniversary. He did an amazing job and kept us updated with pictures of Rocky and rocky looked like he was having a blast in all the pictures. Alex played fetch with him in our yard daily and made sure Rocky had enough toys to play with. We came home to a happy dog and we are very grateful we could celebrate our anniversary without worrying about how Rocky was faring back home thanks to Alex!”

About: With years of experience caring for cats of all personalities, ages, and needs, I’ve developed a deep understanding of feline behavior and how to earn their trust (on their terms, of course!). What sets me apart is my attentive, calm, and cat-savvy approach. Whether it’s a shy kitty who needs extra patience or a playful one who loves interaction, I adjust my care to suit their unique personality. I’m especially mindful of routines, feeding preferences, and subtle health cues—because even the smallest changes in behavior can matter. From cozy cuddles (if they’re into that) to quiet companionship and enrichment, I make sure your cat feels safe, loved, and completely at ease while you're away.

“Abby is fabulous. She was very communicative through both the Rover cards (I always got multiple photos and a story of her visit!) and texting through the app. My orange cat can be overly affectionate and climbs all over people, and Abby just embraced all his crazy antics. I’m glad she was there to pamper my cat and I will definitely book again! Thank you Abby! 😊🐈”

About: Oscar was our miracle rescue story. We found him at 3 weeks old and he lived a long and happy 17 years under our care. I have cared for many cat clients during my years at Buckhead Pet Pals, Barking Up the Right Tree and with my personal company HOUSEDOGGIES.

“Alexsys is absolutely amazing and super sweet!! I had a last minute booking that she was able to take!! She sent me pictures and videos throughout the day showing how much of a good time my Rheya had!! I also LOVE that she was able to play with some other furry friends and had a back yard to get her zoomies out! 100% will be booking with her again!!”

If you trust me with your fur baby, I promise I will love them as much as I love my own!! I work from home, so I have a lot of flexibility. Mornings are more difficult for me, but I can definitely work with you to find what’s best for the pets! My own pets are high maintenance, so I am definitely able to work with your pets needs. About: Dog care certified in Argentina, as an animal lover I want to pursue career caring for them. Since young, I used to spend a lot of time in dog walks and parks with them. I believe now, I can provide them the perfect environment of a fenced backyard of 10.000 sqf. I love to exercise and pamper pups and we're easy to reach, even for a last-minute need. With some dog training experience and a lot of love for dogs, I look forward to taking care of your family member like one of our own. Depending on your pup's needs, I will take long playtime or jogs with your dog. If your furry family member just needs companionship and loving attention, I am happy to provide that kind of care, too. Photos of your dog will be shared with you throughout their visit. I love to send lots of pictures of my guests. My house is generally a cage-free environment, but will use your crates if that is what your pup is used to at home. I have a couple of gates to use as necessary to separate dogs during meals and to give them a large, safe play area in our home.
“This was the first time we used Rover.com so we were a little apprehensive. Linda made that first time experience wonderful. Words cannot describe how pleased we were with response, friendliness and most of all the care our fur baby received. Would recommend her service without hesitation.”

“Gabby was an awesome Dog Sitter. I could tell from the moment she met my dogs that she was going to be a great sitter. She sent me pictures throughout their day to keep me updated. Would definitely recommend.”

“Lisette is WONDERFUL and her family is also so nice. She was very friendly and lovable, super communicative, helpful, and also flexible. She took great care of my dog and sent photos throughout the day, and he was really happy and relaxed (and in no hurry to leave) when I came to pick him up so I know he loved being there! I definitely recommend her and will send my dog there again anytime she's available!”

“Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. If you read this Linda, I am interested in that food you had there for your fosters. Please shoot me a message, I may look at ordering it to try next time. Thanks again!”

“My Ellie was so happy and tired when I picked her up! I can tell she had a great time with this family 🙂. Allison was very communicative and promptly greeted me upon drop-off/pick-up!”

I’ve also grown up caring for animals from a variety of backgrounds- fosters, rescues, you name it. I’m happy to come meet any animals in advance to make you more comfortable. I currently work remotely 90% of the time so this gives me a lot of flexibility to walk and take care of animals during work day hours if needed. I’m very good with following whatever directions will make you and your pets feel the most comfortable in your homes and out on walks.
“Sherry took our menagerie of dogs and cats in stride when she arrived and she handled my dog Duncan with ease during the walk. She obviously loves animals and my dog, who is sometimes shy with strangers, immediately liked her and will be happy to see her the next time she comes. I highly recommend her if you need a good caretaker for your pets.”

Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily life. Even after my shifts, I’m available for nighttime drop-ins or cuddles before bed. My schedule allows me to give pets the consistent attention, care, and companionship they need throughout the day. Because I truly enjoy spending time with animals, caring for them never feels like a chore—it’s something I look forward to every day. In My Home: When pets stay with me, I provide a pet-friendly space with plenty of room to relax, play, and feel comfortable. I stick to their usual routines as closely as possible—feeding times, walks, medication, and bedtime habits—so they feel right at home. They get plenty of one-on-one attention, playtime, and affection throughout the day. In Clients' Homes: When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to respect and follow all routines, instructions, and preferences. I know how important consistency is for animals, especially when their humans are away. I keep their space clean, monitor their behavior and health closely, and always provide loving companionship—whether that means play, cuddles, or quiet time, depending on the pet’s personality.

“Alex has been great with our dogs! He goes above and beyond and our dogs do so great with him! I would definitely recommend Alex. He has a great attitude and works well with different breeds. We have a pitbull and an Australian Shepherd, and they really love Alex and look forward to their time with him!!”

“Hannah was awesome! She took Marley on walks for two days while I was traveling for work. She sent pics and gave lots of info while with Marley. Will definitely use Hannah again!”

“Christopher and Leslie are professional, they're skilled at handling dogs, and my dogs love them. Even our two very shy dogs warmed up to them quickly. (And my cats, who were not part of the booking, also were happy to say hi to them. They're obviously cat people, too!) They were happy to accommodate some last-minute changes to the bookings, which I appreciated very much. I will definitely book them again when I need help.”

About: I have been an animal lover & owner my entire life. I've always had a dog along with the occasional hamster, cat, guinea pig, lizard, hermit crab, rabbit, bird & fish. I love animals especially dogs. I am very comfortable with large breed dogs as well as smaller dogs too. I like to think the bigger the dog the more loves & cuddles you get.🥰 I've volunteered for rescues over the past 10 years & have fostered both dogs & cats. I'm very excited to meet new animals and their owners. I currently have 1 dog & 3 cats. I try to stick to your animal's schedule so they continue with their normal routines. I make sure your animal is given lots of attention & play time. I will show your animal affection & lots of play time & snuggling if they enjoy that. I've never met a dog that hasn't liked me....big or small.

“Yogi enjoyed his stay. I like that there are options. Dogs can stay in the house. But if they are more comfortable outside, she has a deck with access to a fenced in grass area. Good communication. No problems.”

“Mila loved staying with Joel and Janelle! She came home so happy and healthy. I loved the communication and flexibility they provided, and all the pictures they sent during her stay!”

About: Hi there, my name is Kristina and I’ve just recently moved to the Winchester area! Caring for animals has always been one of the greatest joys in my life. With years of experience, looking after pets of all ages, personalities and needs I’ve built a reputation for being reliable, attentive and genuinely invested in each animals wellbeing. One of the biggest advantages of working with me is that I work from home full-time, this means that your pets will never be left unattended and I am able to give them consistent attention to ensure they feel safe and comfortable throughout the day. When your pet is with me, they’re treated like family whether it’s daily walks, playtime medication reminders or just offering affection and companionship, I make sure every animal feels loved and understood. I look forward to giving your pets the dependable, worry free care they deserve. I currently work from home Monday through Friday. I have the ability to visit your home and ensure your pets are doing well and to provide them any enrichment they may need whether it be walks or play. I currently live in townhouse with my husband and our dog, named Gorgi (Gorgonzola), we go on frequent walks in the morning afternoon and evening. We keep a clean home and have a basement that lets out into a small backyard. I have one X-Large kennel if your pup prefers to sleep in one as well as a puppy pad corner for those late night bathroom breaks. I would be happy to provide a tour our home upon request.
“Thank you so much for taking care of our kitty. Can’t recommend Lisette enough. She is very caring, my cat likes her and her husband, she also was sending photo and video updates every day, so I had a peace of mind while I was out.”

“Ingrid is one of the best animal sitters we have ever seen. She has such a kind heart and really goes the extra mile to ensure puppy comfort. We are so grateful for her services and will definitely use her again when needed!”
“Heather is absolutely amazing! We’ve never left one of our dogs with anyone outside of family and it was so nice to see they had a blast and made themselves feel right at home. She is flexible, quick response time and has plenty of room for our dogs to run and play, also meeting some new friends with their dogs. We will keep our dogs going to Heather anytime we leave town and she is available.”
