The night before I dropped her off, I had taken Maya on a hike, and in hindsight, not checking her thoroughly for ticks afterward wasn’t the smartest decision on my part. The morning after her first night with Whitney, she discovered that Maya had a significant number of ticks on her. She immediately texted me to let me know what was going on, especially since she had a two-year-old and other dogs in the house and understandably needed to be careful. I was traveling and tried to arrange for friends to pick Maya up, but unfortunately, I couldn’t make that happen. She could easily have told me I needed to find another solution, but instead, she went completely above and beyond. She went out, got tick shampoo and treatment, gave Maya a thorough bath, dealt with the ticks, and made sure she was comfortable and well cared for. It was a stressful situation that she didn’t create, but she handled it with so much patience, responsibility, and genuine care for Maya. Being away, it meant a lot knowing that someone was willing to step up and take care of her when I couldn’t be there. I’m incredibly grateful and would absolutely trust her with Maya again. I own 6 dogs all of varies breeds, along with the occasional foster pup or two. While in my care your fur baby will have ample amount of structure play, to ensure 100% safety I keep play groups small with some one on one time play. I have a wide variety of experience with reactive dogs as well, if your dog does not do well with others open communication is all I ask and I will ensure your loved one is fulfilled during their stay. I work from home allowing my schedule to be pretty flexible, I am happy to offer pick up and drop off services if needed or work around your schedule I have a fully fenced in yard with access to trails and parks, where I enjoy spending as much time outdoors allowing all the pets in home to feel enriched

About: Dogs have always been part of our life and are treated as a member of the family. When in our house the dogs are allowed on furniture and we will treat them as they were our dog. We welcome calls to check up on your animal while they are staying with us. We will give them plenty of attention and someone will be around in the house to make sure they are doing well. We look forward to having your animal stay will us and giving them attention while they are here. We can even send you pictures or videos while you are gone to see how they are enjoying their stay. I am retired as a special education teacher and enjoy animals. Last year I lost my dog Sammy who was 19 years old and look forward to being with dogs. Our family treats pets like part of our family. About: I have been a vet assistant for 8 years, I now stay at home with my 1 year daughter and 4 dogs. We have chickens and a horse as well. We are big animal lovers of any kind. I'm a stay at home mom, I'm open all day and can come to your house or the pet can come to mine. We are very open to any schedule. We have a 6 foot private fence, and we have 4 dogs that are friendly with anyone and everyone. We also go to the dog park for more exercise with them as weather depends.
