“Katina did an amazing job and will love your pet like it's her own. My dog stayed with her for a week and Katina sent multiple pics and daily updates. She took her to the dog park and on walks, in fact my dog had so much fun playing while there that she came home and slept for like a whole day:) She has two little dogs that make perfect playmates and a gate to separate them if need be. One of the dogs she was watching accidentally chewed a little on my leash and walking belt and Katina went the xtra mile and had new ones ordered before I got home with no charge! I have found the perfect sitter and will definitely use her again.”

“As someone who was just passing through Charlottesville to attend a wedding, I was really apprehensive about leaving our two Jack Russell Terriers with someone I didn’t know. Aly was a great choice and just as wonderful as all her five star reviewers had said. She sent photos throughout our time away which was very reassuring. If you need someone while passing through or because you live in the area and need a loving home for your fur baby to hang out, don’t hesitate to reach out to Aly!”

“Svitlana was wonderful! She clearly knows and loves dogs. She was patient with settling our dog in and then went above and beyond with helping to get her energy expended. We loved seeing pictures of her happily playing. So thankful for the care!”

“Pam and Michael are terrific. They really care about your dog like they are their own. We always felt confident that Finley was in good hands when we were away. Pam and Michael are off the beaten path but conveniently located on the way to Dulles from Charlottesville and they are consistently available for long trips. We highly recommend them.”

“Our doodle had a great visit with Christine and Charles. We received regular updates and pictures on how everything was going. Their location & setup provides everything a pet needs. Looking forward to using their services in the future.”

“Doris is a very caring, loving, dog sitter who encourages her charges to relax, play, and have fun! We love the fact that she sent frequent photos of our baby Sheltie! We already have made another reservation!”

“Our Goldendoddle loves to visit Charissa. We appreciate the home type care, that she’s not placed in a box (crate) & is well cared for! She’s always excited to return & the communication is great.”

“Having to leave your dog is tough but when you leave them with a family like this one, your mind is instantly put at ease! They loved on our girl like she was family and sent us picture updates every day!!! We will 100% book with them again!”

“Paige is amazing! She was thoughtful and communicative ahead of time about how Pepper might interact with the other dogs and made sure she had space for a break if needed. She had comfy beds all over that pepper took full advantage of, haha. She sent lots of pictures so we felt connected while we were gone. Everything went super smoothly and we would absolutely use Paige again! She even dropped off a little Christmas gift weeks later :).”

“I can't recommend James enough! This was our first time travelling without our dog, and James was very responsive to all of our requests. He sent us daily pictures of her which really helped us since this was the first time we were away from her since adopting. Our dog came home sleepy and happy and it was obvious to us that she was well cared for and enjoyed her time. We're already planning our next trip so that we can book James again!”

“I Highly recommend Joey! I boarded Piper for three days. After meeting Joey and seeing his multiple fenced yards and runs i was able to enjoy an important weekend without worry.. thanks again and look forward to having Piper there again. Stephen W.”

“Paula took care of Kenny for six days. She did a wonderful job! He is recovering from CCL surgery and she was very attentive to his safety and comfort. He has some separation anxiety but was very comfortable staying with her. I would definitely use Paula again.”

“Can’t put in words how amazing Mary is! I got pictures of my fur baby daily which was so reassuring. She treats your pet like her own with how detail oriented she is! 10/10 would recommend.”

“Once again Camp Hope & Loretta was such a wonderful respit for us and such an awesome time to socialize for Biscuit. I really believe the chance to hang out with her is so helpful. Thank you Hope!!!🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“Heather and her family were fantastic for our dog! He's still got puppy energy and he got to burn plenty of it playing in their big fenced in yard with the other dogs. He was safe, loved on, and played the entire time. We also had horrible traffic coming back in town and Heather was so great. She was flexible and made she we knew that Rio would be ok even if he needed to stay another night. Heather will definitely be our go-to for future boarding's.”

“Riley is simply the best dog sitter you can search for. She is conscientious, organized, responsive, and she loves dogs. Her way with dogs is special; she paid attention to our dog for the week we booked, and the entire time we were away, we were at ease knowing our dog was cared for like family. It is without reservation that we give the highest rating for Riley - again, simply the best!”

“Heather is super responsive and takes your pet’s needs seriously. My pup is sweet but has some anxiety issues—Heather thoughtfully supported all of his needs while providing lots of pictures and updates to ease my mind while he was under her care. Highly recommended… will definitely be booking again!”

“This was our first time using a Rover sitter, and Cynthia put us at ease. She took great care of our two senior cats, providing notes and photos of each visit. It’s nice to find a trustworthy person to come to your home and care for your beloved pets.”

“Victoria did a wonderful job caring for my two adult male cats and ~8 week old kitten for about 5 days. She was patient and has a keen attention to detail, especially with my helicopter-parent semi-neurotic novel of a instructions write-up. Overall, Victoria did an exceptional job caring for my furry children and I would seek her services again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Victoria!!! 🤗”

“Megan was great! We set up a meet and greet before we left town so she wasn’t a complete stranger to my cats and they returned the favor by showing up to the food bowls every night she came by to feed them dinner! When we returned home, the cats seemed happy, the litter boxes were clean and the water bowls were full.”

“Im so glad I found Bertie and Lisette! They were gracious enough to accommodate my last-minute request and they are clearly pros at this. They were cognizant of keeping paws off the sidewalk in this heat and asked all the important questions. I’m always worried my pup will be sad the whole time I’m gone but her pups and their attentive care kept him smiling. I was so grateful to receive photos and videos while away too. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be back.”

“Jani and Paul are amazing sitters for my dog, Lucky! 🐾 I always pick him up from their home and he’s happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. They’re so reliable and thorough and always fill out his report card right away, so I know exactly how his stay went. I really appreciate the care and attention they give him. Highly recommend!”

“Thanks for taking care of Mazie last minute while we toured some of the area attractions. It was a relief to know she was happy and having fun while we were gone.”

About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. If you think your dog is aggressive, I can and will evaluate them so that if possible, we will get them socializing with their own kind and having a great time. Thanks, have a good day! I train dogs for a living so I stay at my house 7 days a week besides when I work with clients and those lessons tend to run about an hour but no more than 2 hours! I have 9 years experience running my own kennel and have two dogs with a large fence so there will be no boredom here! I do prefer to kennel dogs for the night but as we get comfortable with each other they will start to earn more freedom! Pet care is my full time job and i wouldn’t have it any other way, it has been a blessing. I hope I can help make your schedule less stressful! While you’re away, let your dogs play! I have a five foot fenced in dog yard specifically for dogs. We also have another 5 acres that we will walk all client dogs on during their stay with us.-
“Svitlana did great with Otto's nervous mom (me). She sent plenty of photos, updates, and reassurance. Otto felt comfortable at the house during his doggie daycare stay. He was relaxed enough to eat, sleep, and play. I rarely have anyone watch Otto, but we'll return if Svitlana is available when needed in the future.”

“lily and i love and absolutely adore jenny! she is so attentive and i can tell lily gets all the loving when she is with jenny. she provides tons of updates (i seriously know a play by play of lily’s day with her) and is very responsive. lily always comes back SO happy and tired, it’s no question that jenny provides the best care. it’s very clear that she wants the best for your pet and will go above and beyond for them. if there is anyone you choose to watch your furry family, it definitely should be jenny!! i seriously don’t know what i would do without her!! ❤️”

“Nathan was great to work with! Super friendly, professional, and quick to respond. This was our first time using him so we could enjoy a relaxing lake day, and we're so glad we found him. Our pup seemed to have a great time, and we’ll definitely be booking with him again soon!”

“We were impressed with Jessica’s care for our border collie mix Boots for a very long day care day. Boots enjoyed the fenced-in yard and romping with another visiting dog. With a lovely, flexible, positive personality, Jess made us feel assured that Boots was being well taken care of. We would highly recommend her to others and will definitely seek her services again, when we return to town and need temporary dog care.”

About: I’ve taken care of many animals in my life and I will continue to take care of animals for as long as I live. Getting to see dogs and cats every day has always been a joy but it’s been even better knowing I take care of people’s pets, knowing that people trust me with their furry friends is an honor. I’ve been in many different kinds of environments with dogs and cats outside of dog sitting. I have worked as a kennel assistant in two different vets, and realized that the veterinary field wasn’t the field I wanted to go down, I’ve worked in a doggy daycare where I go to play with dogs and see the looks on dogs faces when their owner picked up, I now work as a dog bather and have goals to become a dog groomer in the future. I will always have dog sitting open and available for years to come. Working with animals is so rewarding and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I currently am not working any jobs at the moment but I am a college student. My hours are much more flexible than they were in high school. I have class on Mondays and Wednesdays, and I also have band practice every day from 6-7:30. My weekends are free unless I have a game on Saturday or if I plan to go home on a weekend. We have a double harness leash for both of our dogs and we take them on daily walks. We do live in a townhome so we don’t have a fence but we do take them out and if you have a fence I will definitely be sure to give your furry friend the exercise they need!

About: Growing up I had just about every animal you could think of although dogs specifically have a special place in my heart! I previously worked at a boarding facility so I’m familiar with most breeds and have a rescue husky of my own! I currently work 8:30AM-5:30PM Monday-Friday. I am available to tend to your pet before and after work as well as on my 1 hour lunch break if you’re close! I’m also available most weekends. I’m mainly looking to care for your pets in your home. However, depending on the situation I may be willing to bring them into my home as well!
“So simple and pleasant. Emil took care of our dog while we were in town for a football game. She seemed happy and content when we picked her up. Emil has a calming demeanor.”

I currently work 30/32 hours a week usually during the early mornings or mid afternoons. I have usually offered early morning walks or evening walks to those in need! I am able to do overnights as well, but always check to make sure the animals will be okay while I work! I have always tried to take care of the pets in the exact way the client has asked. About: I have had dogs and cats all my life. I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. My girls Piper, Ella and Shelby are my world. I love these dogs like they are children. They are spoiled I will admit. I also have taken care of my friends dogs for years while they have been out of town and my house as "Aunt Paige's Doggie Camp" All my dogs I have brought up from puppies. I have house trained them, crate trained them and trained them on the invisible fence for the yard. They always get lots of love and have lots of toys to play with, both inside and outside. I work from home, so I'm always here to take them out and take care of them. My dogs are always outside when it's not too hot or the weather is bad. I live on a quite street which ends in a cul-da-sak. So I will walk them at least 2 times a day The most important thing is they must get along with other dogs. I have a invisible fence in my yard and can certainly put your dog on it if they are trained on one. Otherwise I will go out with them and walk them. If they are well trained and can be lose a return on command they can play in the yard with my girls.
“Anna successfully walked our ultra-shy dog! She's very responsive and followed my excessively detailed instructions. We're definately booking more walks with her (:”

About: We are a family of 4 seasoned pet sitters with a genuine love for animals. For nearly three years we have been traveling with our children across the United States, providing top-notch care for homes and pets from coast-to-coast, and back again! Pet sitting has offered a wonderful way to roadschool our children and provide them with hands-on life experience, all while caring for incredible pets and homes along the way. We are seeking long term sits of 3 months+, perfect for snowbirds and those needing support while traveling abroad. Because we travel with our kids we keep our rates low, but the level of care is never compromised. I believe the pets receive more love this way, making for a win-win all around. I work from home as a debt counselor while my wife, Jenalee, homeschools our children. We're all home most days, though she may take them out for educational activities and exploring. In either event, we'll always ensure the pets have regular attention and are never left alone beyond their comfort. We take time to understand your environment, home and pets routine. We have a safety checklist to become familiar with exits, fire extinguishers, firearms, cameras, and more. I am hyper-vigilant when it comes to safety. Things happen in homes, and we're here to see to it that your home is safe and secure. Our children are amazingly respectful. If there is a space or item that's off limits, we note it and it need not be worried about. We are so fortunate that this has worked as well as it has.

I am available at any time if you need me. i'm currently available for the following services: housesitting, pet boarding, drop in visit, dog walking for 30 minutes or 60 minutes, and one on one dog training. if your dog is with me, I live in a neighborhood that is very dog friendly.

“I Highly recommend Joey! I boarded Piper for three days. After meeting Joey and seeing his multiple fenced yards and runs i was able to enjoy an important weekend without worry.. thanks again and look forward to having Piper there again. Stephen W.”

“Jesse & Emily treated my Angel like she’s a family. Angel was greatly taken care of, even made friends with Hazel and Nola (kids). We received daily updates and pictures. We’re forever grateful for this family.”

“Brianne was great! She took excellent care of my dog for a long weekend and I came back to a happy, healthy pup! Brianne was easy to contact and sent me pictures and updates while I was away. I would definitely reccomend her and am looking forward to having Ginger stay with her for my next trip!”

“Nathan is a professional. Will definitely be back. He has excellent communication, booking was easy and he was so flexible for us. I couldn’t be happier. He even gave our pup a bath and gave medicine. Such a positive experience! Thank you Nathan!”

“If you're anything like me and hate leaving your furry family member for any amount of time, let me just say there are NO worries while in Charity's care! She is PHENOMENAL and the communication is top notch. We've had experiences in the past boarding our dog Janey that weren't pleasant so we were worried about this trip, but Charity treated her as her own and the daily updates with photos were extremely comforting. If you need an AMAZING sitter then Charity is the one! You won't be disappointed!!!”

“Ollie had the best time playing with all the other pups. I always feel confident that he is in the best hands while we are away. His happy goofy face in the pictures and him needing a 3 day nap afterwards cements that he had a great time. Thank you again! See you next time!”

“Jenny was terrific especially as she was challenged by my 70 lb lab grand-dog who got into everything, including some horse feed. She seemed to take it all in stride, the dogs seemed happy and all was well. I didn't realize how many dogs would be together that weekend; a good thing to ask if it matters to you. Our dog, Gracie, would love to return!”

“Our pup had a wonderful stay with Hillary! We receive daily updates with photos. Our girl was given walks and lots of love and had a fun time while we were away! Thank you!”

“Moxie had a great time staying over with Caroline. I loved getting photos and updates. Caroline is very experienced with dogs who have special needs and she is warm and friendly. So glad we found her!”
