“Lucky and her husband took great care of Dolo. I can tell he had a great time and she sent updates every day and I loved having the report card sent home with him. He doesn't spend much time with other dogs so I was happy that she noticed that he needed to warm up to them and kept him separate until he was ready to interact appropriately. He was worn out when he got home so I could tell he had lots of play time! We will definitely be using her again.”

“This couple is amazing! I am a first time user of Rover and couldn’t be happier. They sent multiple pictures and videos throughout the weekend. My dog did so well there with their dog and cats. They truly cared for my dog and showed her love. I will definitely be using them again.”

“Adam is a natural, per Cooper. We knew the moment we met him that Cooper was in good hands. Cooper took to him immediately and made himself at home. We got him back last night and Cooper was calm and happy. Thanks Adam!!!”

“Verlee and her family provided a safe and friendly home for our Livie. This was our first time boarding our puppy and Verlee turned a stressful drop off into a positive one. The daily updates and pictures allowed us to see that Livie was enjoying her stay and having fun! We will definitely be using Verlee for future boarding. Thank you so much!”

“Radka is THE BEST! She and her family clearly LOVE DOGS. I couldn’t ask for better care because Radka exceeded anything I could ever expect. My usually timid dog trotted on in comfortably and made herself at home. I really don’t think she wanted to leave when I came back to get her! I loved getting the photos and updates. I know, without a doubt, that she was in great hands with Radka and James.”

“Christine and Nick once again provided excellent care for my dog while we were on a trip. They were flexible with changes in schedule, provided frequent pics and updates about Mae, and are friendly and responsive.”

“Julie took great care of my dog Dakota while I was gone. Dakota can have some separation anxiety at first, but Julie and her pups helped her feel comfortable and home during her stay. I would definitely use Julie again to watch Dakota. She retuned to me happy and healthy. Thank you Julie for taking such good care of my best girl!”

“DAMACIA J., thanks for everything and taking care of my baby Chuichuala Jolene. She had a great time and bonded with her and the other dogs. I was sent photos of my dogs attachment to her sitter and the other dogs. Jolene really liked her dog. Thanks for everything.”

“Gulmira was so great with our shy girl Sophie! She sent plenty of updates and was very communicative, helping us feel very comfortable leaving Sophie there for the first time! It’s clear Sophie was loved so much while she was there too and she was also exercised very well, got plenty of walks and time to explore, and made some doggy friends along the way. We are so pleased with the stay and could not recommend Gulmira more! She’s definitely a great choice if you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares and is kind and patient with animals.”

“Marvin responded very quickly for a last minute request and was able to take care of my bully. He was communicative sent great pictures and gave him great walks. My guy came home happy. It was assuring to know he was still taken care of. 10/10 highly recommend”

“Miranda is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! She took care of our dog Archie last-minute (for the first time, too) and was incredibly kind, helpful, and constantly updated me while watching him. Archie had such a good time, he didn't want to leave! We also had to pick him up past midnight on our way back, and Miranda was extremely accommodating and, again, was just amazing overall. Her dog Crush was also super sweet and has become Archie's first best friend. We will absolutely be using her services again, and I highly recommend others to do the same!!!”

“I feel my dog is safe in their care, he loves to go here. I love daily updates and photos that I’m sent of my dog. I highly recommend this family to care for your fur baby on your next trip! Thank you ☺️”

“If you are looking for a dog sitter stop here because Cassandre is wonderful!! She has watched our dog Ziggy many times and every time we’ve been completely happy. She is fast with her responses and sends many pictures during the stay. When we take Ziggy to her, he jumps out of the car and runs to the front door with his tail just a wagging. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Thanks for a the time you spend with our sweet boy! 💙”

“Ms.Elaine was very helpful to me when I needed someone to watch my dog she was very caring and kept me updated on how Chaval was doing I would recommend her to any that needed services.”

“Laura and her family were great. She sent daily updates, responded quickly, and was able to work with our schedule. Brady looked happy and well cared for. Would definitely board with her again!”

“Knowing that Luna was safe, well cared for, AND happy (she had a huge smile in every picture Paula sent us) gave us peace of mind and we therefore enjoyed our 8 day vacation so much more! Thank you Paula!”

“They’re always amazing great communicators and they treat Penelope just like she would be if she was their dog. They truly are wonderful family that also our friendly and nice.”

“Laura was fantastic! She sent updates and pictures everyday. Nellie had the most fun with Laura and her family. I loved how they really adopted Nellie into the family for the week!”

“Kendra is amazing as always. I always feel comfortable and at ease when my dog is in her care. She provides quality care and consistent updates. I highly recommend her services.”

“I highly recommend Amy. I was extremely pleased with the communication and response time when I messaged her. She kept me updated on Stella and Poppy and how they were doing all week. It really put my mind at ease and I was confident the kitties were in good hands. Loved the pictures, too! Amy, thank you so much for caring for my girls like you would care for your own fur babies. I would definitely book with you again and I’ll recommend you to friends. ❤️”

About: I have always loved animals since I was a little girl, and I am always looking for ways to spend more time with them in my freetime. I am a college student home for the summer available 7 days a week! I have a job during the day from about 10am 4 pm, but can visit before and after and during the late nights. I spend a lot of time with my dog Reese, and would always respect the homes of my clients and make sure they are comfortable.

“Jacqueline left me notes and some photos of my cat while I was in England for two weeks. She gave Venus medicine every day, made sure to give her affection, and left the cat area neat and clean. I will certainly use her again when I have to leave my cat.”

About: I have been taking care of my own dogs since I was young and love to be around all animals! I used to nanny for a family with 5 kids and they had a wonderful dog that I always helped to care for! Feeding and taking him to the groomers and vet appointments…all things that I was lucky to get to help with! I also used to care for 2 cats (both needing to take medication) and a bull dog on a daily basis! I have a Jack Russell (that just passed away) myself that I had for about 10+ years and no kids do she was my only fur baby! I have recently in the past year gotten a brand new puppy named Sugar! She is a beagle/terrier/lab mix and 25 pounds of Adorableness! She is so sweet And absolutely my little girl, as she follows me everywhere and tries to be wherever I am, and always under foot!!! She’s a little skittish and still all puppy at eight months! So I am no stranger to puppy needs at all! I also have Bella, who is a pit/beagle mix and she is a little over a year and a half old! She is 60 pounds of crazy but happy and smart and always at my husband side! What a love bug! But remember, with pets, there is no personal space! Lol I love pets of all kinds and will care for them as if they were my own! Snuggles are free!!! I am currently a part-time private nanny, to a bunch of different families who may need care for their little ones day a week, and my schedule is always changing from week to week! This is a little niche that I found that nobody was able to fill, and I wanted to dedicate my career to helping those families who only need four hours a day one day a week and that doesn’t necessarily need to be the same day. As my schedules always changing, my availability will always be changing so I will try to keep that up-to-date as I hope more of you reach out! I’m really looking forward to all the snuggles! I am always very mindful of the time for feedings and walks…any medication will be given correctly and timely…I will make sure your home is locked up after I leave from a walk and/or feeding! Please know that I will do my best to. Gain the trust of the animal! Cats too!

About: I have taken care of cats my whole life. I grew up on 10 acres of land and we had a momma cat that would have babies all the time. Unfortunately we could never catch the momma cat to get her spayed but we always kept her kittens that she left for us and would take care of them.

“They are so caring and patient. My dog can be shy around unknown people and environments and they took the extra mile to let her ease in and get comfortable. Loved receiving all the pictures and videos of her stay. Can't wait for our next visit! Thank you so much for your care.”

“Adam and Beau is a match made in heaven! Beau apparently played it cool during his visit; he had “checked out” Adam’s home on our initial visit and settled in pretty easily during his longer stay.”

About: We breed and train Chesapeake Bay Retrievers that are raised for Hunting, Hunt Tests, Obedience, and for conformation(shows). We have been involved with many breeds including Great Danes, Setters, Retrievers, and even Mutt Mixes. We start the day before sunrise to let the dogs out for a run and feed them. Around lunch time the pups are let out to play and exercise some more. We feed animals again around sunset or about 12 hours from their breakfast meal and let them exercise and play. One more outing before we go to bed where we always check in with our "puppy cams" before nodding off to sleep. Your dogs will be exercised multiple times a day on the farm on an adventure that changes based on the weather. In the summer we put a kiddie pool out for them to play in which we keep nice and clean. Some warm days we may take the dogs on a hike to the creek in the summer time where they can run around and have fun, other days it may be an outing around the fenced in areas. Any specific medical needs will be taken care of based on their needs and within our abilities. We will exercise them individually unless we are informed otherwise on their play pals.
“Christine and Nick are absolutely incredible with our German Shepherd, Aurora. This was her first time staying away from home and socializing with other dogs, and they made her feel completely safe, loved, and part of the family. They followed her routine, handled her quirks with confidence and compassion, and kept us updated the entire time. Aurora always comes home exhausted, happy, and clearly well cared for. We’re so grateful to have found such trustworthy and experienced sitters— Highly recommend!”

“Josephine was absolutely lovely with our 2 pups! Sammy & Sylvie had the best time with her & her husband! We highly recommend Josephine… thank you so much for caring for our fur babies! ☺️”

About: I’ve cared for dogs and cats my entire life. I am looking forward to opportunities to care for your dog(s) or cat(s) while you are away and love them like they were my own. I have a fenced in yard and live in a wonderful neighborhood with lots of walking trails. I have three children, ages 10, 12, and 14 that grew up with dogs and learned how to be loving and respectful to animals. I’m a high school teacher so I’m able to be home during the summer and school holidays. My routine includes a morning, afternoon and an evening walk after dinner. The fenced backyard provides opportunities for exercise outside of walks. I follow your pets normal feeding schedule and will only provide the food and treats that you provide to avoid any allergy or food intolerance concerns. On school days, my husband is typically working from home so there is usually someone home without long periods of being left home alone. Pets are cared for as part of the family and receive lots of love and attention.
“Eliane and her husband were more than accommodating. I have a 12 year old dog who struggles with anxiety so finding a family to take care of my baby was a bit stressful. Upon messaging Elaine about her availability she immediately proposed a meet and greet. I was nervous Sepia wouldn’t get along with her own two dogs but it went wonderfully! Elaine and her husband were flexible with my tentative schedule and offered to host sepia for the night when I found out I needed to leave extremely early the next morning. With my crazy work schedule, I will 100% go straight to Elaine and Steven. Sepia clearly made herself at home ? and was spoiled with treats and endless love.”
About: I have built my life around loving and caring for animals. I have been with my local SPCA for 11 years and have been president for 8 years. My family has rescued and loved many animals throughout our lives and I would like nothing more than to extend that love to your pets. I am available at all times as I have retired and most of my SPCA volunteer work is done from my home. If for whatever reason I am not going to be there I will make sure you will be informed prior to my absence and my husband is available in the rare instance I am not. I have a dog boarding facility that can house up to 17 dogs of all sizes. There is a large outdoor play area and nice cozy accommodations including indoor and outdoor runs. Dogs have access to one on one play (including private walks) as well as group play depending on your preference and dog temperament.
About: I’ve always had dogs and cats since I was a kiddo. Currently we have two spoiled dogs and two sweet cats. I take my two dogs on a mile or two walk every day. I started my own pet sitting business in my 20’s after working for a small pet company. I also was working FT with adults with disabilities. I have cared for a wide variety of animals even giving a diabetic cat shots and caring for a blind and a deaf dog. I’ve also had the opportunity to take care of rabbits, birds and even a very social ferret. Once I became busy raising my own family, I stopped working FT but continued watching friends’ and neighbors’ animals on the side. I’m the type of person who stops to pet other people’s dogs when I’m out on a walk. ❤️ My husband and I have 5 kids, two of which live at home. I’m also a grandma with a second baby otw! As a family we’ve always had cats and dogs as well as guinea pigs, gerbils, turtle and a lizard. I’m currently working very part-time so have lots of time to love on your animals. I’m available most days and on the weekends as well. I’d love to walk your dogs and/or play with them in your backyard and hang out with them while you’re away. I also would love to give your kitties lots of attention.

About: With a lifetime of experience caring for animals, I bring both reliability and genuine care to every pet I look after. I currently have two rescue tuxedo cats (one with only one eye and nearly blind) and a well-loved flock of 25 chickens, and I’ve spent the past five years dog sitting for friends and neighbors after many years of owning dogs myself. I’m very comfortable with different personalities and routines. I’m attentive and genuinely enjoy all animals. I will always make your pets feel safe and cared for with walks and plenty of playtime! I just retired after a 22 year career in marketing to watch my first grandchild part time- which gives me extra hours to help you with your pet care! I am as attentive to your fur babies as I am to my own. I genuinely love spending time with all animals and will take great care of yours, too!
About: I've had dogs since I can remember. My fiancé watched dogs in the past with rover and I would always help. Take the dogs to the park on my days off, play outside, and train them when needed. I am currently on veterans disability so I can focus my whole day to your furry friend. No worry about being stuck in all day. I have 5 acres of yard for them to play on. I have lots of space if needed, room for crates, room outside. Plenty of space so your furry friend won't feel trapped. My animals mind their own.
About: My love of dogs started about 5 years ago when I rescued my first dog. Since then, I have acquired a load of knowledge not only in how to care for them, but also how to train them. I can provide mental and physical stimulation for your furry friend and bring most of my own equipment - I can also use the tools your pet is most familiar with. I can assess your pet to determine what your pet may need for stimulation, make suggestions for daily care, and learn at least some of their body language. My dogs and I are always interacting whenever I'm home, but most of our intentional fun/training happens for about 2-3 hours each day outdoors. This includes both training and walking. I also help some of my friends train their dogs whenever our schedules allow. I believe your dog should ALWAYS be in training and you can make almost any situation a training opportunity. Your pets can be treated as my own and/or according to your specific instructions. Do you have multiple dogs that need to be separated? No problem. Can your dogs be together but need to be supervised so tension doesn't continue to build? I got you covered there too! Does your dog pull too much on walks, need to learn how to act in-doors? I can work with your dog on those things as well in addition to other things!
“Sophia was wonderful. I was in town for a week for work and needed someone to walk my dog during the days. She met us at the hotel the evening that we checked in to give my pup a chance to get used to her. She came each day, was very responsive, took great care of the dog, and sent plenty of updates about each walk.”

Our experience with medication administration, basic training, and maintaining routines sets us apart. We treat every pet as if they were our own, giving you peace of mind while you're away. When I’m away at UNC Chapel Hill, my mom runs the business so our clients experience the same reliable, loving care. About: I've had various pets my entire life and been pet sitting/walking for over 25 years! I have experience with any species from hamsters, lizards, and bunnies, to cats and dogs, as well as livestock! My family raises and competes with oxen in the Northeast, and until recently moving south I cared for large animals (horses, cattle, goats, etc) as a side gig as well. There isn't an animal out there that I'm unwilling to work with! I love to care for and work with dogs. I'm happy to do regularly scheduled walks/hikes, or help out as needed. I don't have any official training certification but I do have a background in behavior analysis that has proven helpful when working with and training pets and farm animals. I'm available weekdays mostly during the day but have plenty of flexibility overall. Also available most weekends! Message me with your needs and I can check my schedule for availability. I have a German Shepherd and a Staffordshire Terrier. Although they love to play, due to their size and intensity of play, I'm not doing any care in my home at this time. If I establish a relationship with a client and know their pet well enough to know if it's a good fit, we can discuss the possibility of care in my home. I am willing to do care for small animals in cages in my home (hamster, bearded dragon, etc) In a client's home, I will follow whatever individual preferences they have!

About: Growing up my family always had at least one or more pets of various breeds so I have 20+ years of experience around animals. I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, lizards, rabbits, goats, and hedgehogs. Personally, my husband & I have 2 dogs currently, 9 & 10 years old, one having epilepsy & is dependent on medication. I have helped raise/care for/train puppies, kittens, baby rabbits, & baby goats. The only pet I'm not comfortable with is snakes, my little sister has one but I only look at it from 3ft away in its enclosure, haha. I work part time Tu/W/Th 8A - 5P, I do not mind caring for pets those days, however I will be gone all day. Otherwise, I'm available for your pets needs! My personal routine with my pets: My husband helps me care for our pets daily but his schedule is a bit different than mine, so our dogs are let out at least within 4-6 hours those days. Otherwise, we let them out every 2-4 depending on their needs (which they have been trained to lets us know if they need to go sooner). Our medical dog is on a 12 hr medication schedule. I'd prefer to care in my clients home due to one of my dogs having a reactive past, it was quite a transition when we inherited our other dog. If you have a specific routine, I'm ready to follow it to the T! I'm comfortable walking dogs on leash, hanging out/playing with them in a fenced yard, or just chilling inside. As mentioned, I have experience with medically dependent pets. I have an escape artist, so I'm always vigilant of their proximity to me and prepared to run/chase in the event something happens. I can stay at the home with the pets or I can visit throughout the day!

Cats too!

About: Friendly sitter with experience with senior pups, cats and chickens. I currently have two wonderful dogs and a handful of chickens. One of our dogs is what we believe is a Foxhound and the other is a Shepherd mix. Both are rescues so we are not sure. I also have experience with cats, parrots (green crowned conure) and various farm animals. Update: I no longer work from home. I am now in Richmond M-F, 8-5. I am happy to stop by during my lunch break to check on your babies in the city. Any other surrounding areas would have to be weekends and not during work hours. Apologies for any inconvenience! I am happy to stop by your home and care for your pets. One of my pups is reactive and we do not want to make her (or your baby) uncomfortable by bringing other pets into our space.

“Colleen was wonderful! It was my first time using Rover, and she put me at ease right away! She communicated promptly, and sent pics of my dogs to keep me posted on their stay. She was extremely accommodating, and made the whole experience pleasant and easy! My dogs were happy and well cared for! We will definitely use her again!”
“By far the best rover experience so far. Not only did Christina and her family take our dog, Truffle, last minute but they treated him like their own. With a big fenced in backyard and numerous walks around the neighborhood, Truffle had a blast. She sent consistent communications on how Truffle was doing as well as making sure her kiddos respected and knew how to handle a bigger dog. Above and beyond, would easily recommend Christina!”
