Currently I work from home, a light schedule as I’m testing to obtain another specialty license. In my daily life I used to foster dogs for a rescue. Most of my fosters came from very rough beginnings and had many social and/or anxiety issues but we have been able to overcome them💙 With that being said I totally understand how some dogs are unsure of new people and I’m 100% willing to take the time needed to get to know your fur baby. I do currently have an iguana in his own enclosure and I have extensive reptile knowledge and I’m willing to assist with those as well. I currently have a light schedule that I work from home, so I am available for a lot of pet care needs. I do frequent bathroom visits play, and meal time. I am 100% about safety first. I will not accept any new dogs that will put anyone else in jeopardy. Although I have experience in housing a large number of dogs from my time fostering out in Goochland, and my time working in a doggy daycare, I do not wish to take on a large number of dogs at any one time.

About: I am very flexible with hours. I am an active person and happy to play with your pet and walk them as much as needed. I grew up in the cold, so weather doesn't bother me walking or driving. I also am willing to work with your hours and do what is best for your pet. I also am always happy to send pictures and check in so you know they are living your best life. I can be flexible but I am a morning person so early walks are okay with me. I can also drop in easily through the day with little issue. I grew up with large dogs (lover (100lbs) and 2 cats, and am the current owner of a Bernese Mountain dog who I love. I love all animals but tend to lean to bigger dogs. Available during the day, Monday through Friday. Can do some evenings and will also be available weekends depending on times client want the service done. Prefer to care in clients home, although could do at my house. We do own some land where they could roam while potty but as stated before, prefer to go in clients home.

About: I’ve owned and cared for furry (scaled and feathered!) friends my whole life. From cats and dogs, to guinea pigs and bunnies, to fish and birds. I even have experience caring for sugar gliders and a ball python. I’ve worked as a pet uber (with a company called Leash) and volunteered at shelters, socializing events, and cat rescues for several years, so I’m used to interacting with all kinds of pet personalities and ages. From shy snugglers, to loyal guardians, to spunky characters, to goofy adventurers, I love them all! You can trust I will love on your baby and treat them with as much care as I do my own fur babies. My schedule is fairly flexible right now since my medical retirement from the Army in October. I’m currently working on an online M.S. in psych and substitute teaching in my boyfriend’s town (Clarksville, VA) whenever I’m available. Since it’s a long commute and I’m typically called the morning of, I try to keep Monday and Tuesday open to sub if needed. I am more than willing to do virtual and in person meet and greets to learn pet needs and routines. I prefer to meet in person to get acquainted with your pet while they feel safe in your presence (but I’ve never met a pet I didn’t click with and love immediately.) I’ll accept any additional written/typed outlines detailing your pets care if that’s easier than leaving notes in the app. You name it and I’ll do it; whatever is best for you and your fur baby. Dogs under my care will enjoy long walks and dog parks trips where applicable. If you have a puppy (or dog) in training, I love to partner in their learning using whatever commands you prefer. Kitties under my care will get lots of playtime with wands and lasers, as well as tons of snuggles.
