“Hillary and her family are amazing! We live about 40 minutes away, but as soon as we got there, we immediately felt like their land was a perfect place for dogs to play. So, it was worth the drive! Hillary was so kind and her kids were very friendly. Daisy felt comfortable in their home right away. She had another puppy staying there over the weekend and her own dog Joshua. I was a little worried about how my puppy would do with other dogs and children, but seeing her play with them before I left was so comforting. Hillary has a background in puppy training and I could tell just by how she interacted with Daisy and the other pup. Hillary was great with communication and sent pictures every day! Daisy always looked happy and having a wonderful time! Most of the time, when I send Daisy somewhere, I feel sad knowing she’ll spend the majority of the time in a crate, but this was the complete opposite! About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats for over 20 years, pets are my passion! I am also a former Petshotel and Doggie Day Camp Manager for a national chain and have extensive experience handling dogs, cats, and small pets of all sizes and breeds. I am currently accepting small and medium sized dogs for in house day care and overnight stays. I specialize in small and delicate breed types, not usually suited for kenneling or vet boarding. All fur babies will be treated as family members while here! They can sit on the couch, sleep on the bed, and watch TV with us just like at home. Some larger "gentle giants" can be considered on a case by case basis, just reach out. I believe pets are family! All pets in my care are treated with loving and gentle guidance using only positive reinforcement. All dogs will remain on leash the entirety of their walk. We have a fenced in area off the back patio for bathroom breaks with wood chips as ground coverage. No grass of any kind for the safety of those pets with grass and skin allergies.

We set up a meet and greet during which my pup, Maizy displayed some anxiety, but Tina was not deterred. She knew Maizy needed to warm up at her pace and she got some treats right away to help build up some trust! She sent pictures and really helped me feel at ease that Maizy was well cared for! There was even a storm that rolled by which Maizy is terrified of thunder and Tina helped her feel safe! I would definitely book with her again should we need it!”

While I will happily accept ALL dogs under 30lbs, I specialize in elderly pets/special needs pets who don't do well in boarding situations and need extra care throughout the day. I'm well-versed in administering oral medication, injections, and even subcutaneous fluids as needed. I am available 24hrs a day for potty breaks and medication routines. I am currently the only sitter in the western area of VA that is certified through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council, a 3rd party certification. This means they do not offer any classes or teaching, but only offer the test, which costs around $400. I am also a member of the International Boarding & Pet Services Association and the International Association of Canine Professionals. I carry Pet Sitting Insurance as well. All in all, I love pets of all ages and sizes. The older ones, the smaller ones, and the ones who need just a little extra care have my heart a little more. My home schedule: I am a homebody, so whenever I am not at work, you can usually find me at home relaxing with my dogs in our 'dog' room, watching Netflix, reading a book, or playing some video games on my computer. Your pup would be right there along with us, relaxing and getting all kinds of love. I am a traveling dog photographer, and if I'm home I rarely leave as I travel enough when working haha! I offer overnight stays in my home specifically for: Elderly pups and pups of all ages with special needs (Under 40lbs) who would not do well in a boarding facility. Your pups would be the center of attention in the house while they were here. We do have cats in the house, so please let us know if your pup has any issues with smaller animals. If so, we can still accommodate them, we would just have them in our dog-only area! I have a 'dog room' at home with a couch for relaxing and reading or gaming/watching Disney+ on our large screen TV, an echo dot that will play calming classical music while I am out of the room, and a padded floor with lots of rugs around for the older pups. When we aren't hanging out in that room, our house has hardwood floors with many rugs to keep paws stable, and tons of dog beds(of all sizes) scattered around for comfort. For potty times, I have a spacious fenced-in yard with plenty of shade! Meal times are at your pet's schedule! I make sure to follow any feeding and medication schedules you provide. My husband works from home, so if I am delayed due to traffic from an errand or such, he can let the pups out to potty or give time-sensitive medications/feedings. Pups are crated or placed in a separate room for Meal times and during Potty rotations to ensure no one gets too rowdy and no one becomes aggressive over their food. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was four years old. In the last five years I have traveled the country and dog/house sat in 8 states for neighbors, friends, family, and friends of. I have had experience in puppy training and working with dogs of all ages and size. I will treat your dog as if it were my own best friend! I am responsible and reliable and if I am free I will help as soon as possible! I like to provide fun updates to owners about the adventures their dogs and I have. Warning: You may come home to your dog wanting to go home with me. I work remote so my schedule is wide open as far as availability is concerned.. If that changes I will communicate it. If I am with your dogs they are my first priority. I am laid back and very flexible. I take the care of your best friend very serious. I try to keep your dog on the same schedule that you keep them on, although they may get longer walks and more belly and shoulder rubs with me.
About: I have two small dogs who are my world. I love all types of pets, and I can make room in my schedule and heart to care for your dogs and cats. I will board your dogs or cats, or I can make daily check-ins at your home. I am currently retired and only work some part-time jobs. I am pretty flexible and will work with families to take care of your precious pets. I have a large farm and home and will crate your dogs as needed. They will love the open space for walks and play. I will keep all pets separated for a more stress-free experience.
About: I have 2 dogs currently, and have had lots of different pets growing up. I have cat and dog sat for family and neighbors. I have also taken care of and helped out with foster kitties. I am currently working part time in the evenings and doing online school. I am available some full days of the week, every morning, mid day, or overnight. I am currently not able to bring client pets to my home. I am able to go to client houses during the day or overnight as needed.

About: I have my associates degree in animal sciences and have been tending to animals of all kinds since I was very young. I have experience with farms along with typical house pets. I am a stay at home mom who loves to spend her days loving on animals and enjoying nature. We go on walks and enjoy each others company! I have 1 dog at home, which can be kept separate from other pets. I have an indoor/ outdoor cat. I have an extra large crate for those in need. I have a spacious yard, and leashes for those who need them.
“Hillary and her family are amazing! We live about 40 minutes away, but as soon as we got there, we immediately felt like their land was a perfect place for dogs to play. So, it was worth the drive! Hillary was so kind and her kids were very friendly. Daisy felt comfortable in their home right away. She had another puppy staying there over the weekend and her own dog Joshua. I was a little worried about how my puppy would do with other dogs and children, but seeing her play with them before I left was so comforting. Hillary has a background in puppy training and I could tell just by how she interacted with Daisy and the other pup. Hillary was great with communication and sent pictures every day! Daisy always looked happy and having a wonderful time! Most of the time, when I send Daisy somewhere, I feel sad knowing she’ll spend the majority of the time in a crate, but this was the complete opposite! Daisy basically got a vacation while we were gone. Haha. Thank you, Hillary! We really appreciate you!”

About: Hi we are Don and Bobbi! We both have grown up around dogs our entire lives and have always been passionate about caring for animals. Between our families, we’ve had many dogs and cats over the years, giving us experience with pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities. Today, we have two dogs and a cat of our own and understand the importance of providing pets with love, attention, exercise, and a safe environment. We’ve also pet sat for friends and family and have enjoyed getting to know and care for their pets as if they were our own. We decided to join Rover because we love spending time with animals and thought it would be a fun way to help other pet owners feel confident that their pets are receiving excellent care while they’re away. Bobbi works from home Monday-Friday and Don works from home Monday and Friday. Someone will always be home to care for your animals! Our flexible schedules allow pet care to be a priority. We have a massive yard for the dogs to run around and are constantly going on leashed walks near our house. Our house is their house and we are happy to play with your pup as much as they need!

About: I’ve taken care of pretty much all kinds of animals in my life! Dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, chickens… I’m a current dog mom to 4 pups. One of which is a cancer dog, so I’m very familiar with giving medication if need be. We also have a 1 year old puppy + are very refreshed on puppy life! I love any + all animals— they’re my “people”. I currently work mornings- 2pm ish Monday Tuesday and Friday so can come for afternoon walks/visits! I’m available Monday thru Friday. Available some weekends with prior notice if is suits. I have plenty of dog leash walking experience + can keep my eye on your pups! We love to host dogs in our home as it gives us the little bit of love to go around without the need of getting more of our own.

I’m currently working full time but am only gone 4-6 hours out of the day so I’ll have plenty of time to love and care for your fur baby.
