About: Hello I am Maura! I grew up in a very large family and we always had a dog. I have had four dogs of my own. I have done pet sitting and fostering for families, friends and a dog rescue organization. My husband and I are passionate dog lovers with 30 years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and ages. I’ve always been drawn to dogs and spent years volunteering for a dog rescue organization where I gained valuable experience in caring for dogs with a variety of needs. My husband volunteered with me and together we made several trips down south in a large van to rescue puppies from puppy mills or older dogs scheduled to be euthanized for sitting in shelter too long. From cuddly Pyrenees, and scary-smart German pinschers, to spunky chinchillas, their best cat friends, and curious pythons. I have been through partial behavioral training for dogs (and their humans), and have experience with animal hospice situations, as well as behaviorally aggressive dogs. About: I have always had a dog for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and I love them. We currently have two dogs. I have a male Golden doodle named Bo and a female Teddy Bear named Annie. I like to walk the dogs for two 30 minute walks a day. I’m a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I have a 7 year old, 10 year old, 13 year old and 16 year old at home. Everyone loves dogs. We have a routine with the dogs and they are part of the family. I don’t have a fenced in yard but I am a firm believer that dogs need to be walked. I walk my dogs for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon on a walking path behind my house. I keep jingle bells on my door and my dogs ring them to go outside to potty. I have options to separate dogs if necessary. Dogs are separated at feeding time.

“Jessica was amazing! She walked my two dogs, a high strung chihuahua and elderly dog (14 y.o.), for 30min for 4 days. She reached out and asked if I wanted her to meet the dogs before walking them which was great. The chihuahua tends to bark his head off at strangers, and I wasn't sure how he'd react (he ended up running away from her the first day for 15min, sorry Jessica). The older dog had diarrhea throughout the house one day, and cleaning up after something like that isn't really what I consider her job. I told her she didn't need to worry about it, and I'd deal with it when I got back. However, she ended up cleaning up as much as she could anyways (that's going to be a big tip). Besides my dogs being a huge pain. She always responded quickly and sent a lot of pictures from the walks.”
About: I love all animals and enjoys their company. I'd love to take care of your dog(s) and cats while you're away, so you don't have to worry. When I'm not traveling, I work from home full time, so animals will have plenty of attention and go outside pretty frequently. I have a large yard on rural property and there's a dirt road to get in a several walks. Your dog will have supervised and/or leashed access to the outdoors. There's a lot of room to run. I have had experience handling medications for animals for several years, as my cocker spaniel took medications for glaucoma and congestive heart failure. About: I have always had a soft spot for animals. I began working in the medical field but once I became a stay at home mom I realized something was missing.. my heart was in the place to care for animals instead. When my youngest was just under 2 I started taking on small dog walking jobs to get us out of the house during Covid and enjoying some fresh air and I really just fell in love with it. I have my own "misfit farm" of unwanted animals and in my down time I am taking on dog walking/pet sitting. I am available for house sitting, however cannot accommodate regular overnight stays but can accommodate frequent and lengthy visits. I am a mom to 3, but am pretty much open and available for your needs. Hanging out with animals is a strong passion of mine and I often use the extra cash to do things with my kids. About: I’ve had plenty of dogs my entire life as well as taken care of friends and families dogs. Overnight, check ins or walking. I love walking dogs especially and playing with all animals. I will provide a safe, caring, and loving environment for your pets so you’re worry free while away from them! Currently between jobs and am a full time online college student. So I am pretty flexible!! If something doesn’t work i’ll just make that clear but I do not have many scheduled things in my day to day. I don’t mind doing feeding, walking, play time! Also don’t mind light clean up if they make a mess while you are gone. My dogs are kind of crazy so I understand messes happen! My dogs have an open back yard but if your dog is trained to walk I will be happy to take them out that way. My dogs get plenty of play time mainly with each other but i’ve done plenty of play time with them myself and can incorporate that with you dogs if they require play time! I also have dealt with older and sick dogs so I know how to be gentle and handle that. I have also had my own cat and watched others, I adore cats.
