About: I started dog walking in late grade school, but didn't build my extensive knowledge of behavior training, modification, and animal welfare until 4 years ago. I have experience with training puppies and socialization, along with deaf/blind dogs, hospice care, stranger issues, resource guarding, and reactivity. About: My husband and I have an 11 year old German short haired pointer and recently lost our 13 year old Wheaten Terrier/King Charles Spaniel mix. I have taken care of my parents dogs when they are out of town and have stayed at many client’s homes the past several years to care for their dogs while they are on vacation. I work for GCPS from 745-315 so I would be available for afternoon / evening drop-ins / walks and any days that school is closed. I have given my dogs medication to swallow when prescribed by their veterinarian as well as cleaning out their ears every 2-3 times a week for normal hygiene. I will follow all duties assigned to me to care for your pet. I work on the Goochland County Public Schools calendar from 745-315 Monday - Friday unless other wise stated on the calendar. I would be available all day on the days school is closed. I will provide feedings, potty breaks, walks, inside/outside activities as needed/wanted per your request. I’ve had experience with taking care and training animals since I was 12. All in all, taking care of your lil ones while you’re away is not just a vacation for you, it’s a vacation for me as well. Expect to come home to healthy, relaxed, and happy lil guys and girls! I’m currently a part time student who is also working part time sooo I have a lot of free time on my hands! I’m available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I am currently only accepting boarding in the client’s home due to my own dog’s training. I will care for pets in my client’s home exactly as instructed by them. I will be able to stay with them all day, let them out every hour or so, feed them when scheduled, take them on walks, have play time, and cozy time as well.
About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life and I adore them. I have two dogs of my own, a 12 year old Border Collie mix and a two year old Australian Shepherd, and I volunteer down at the Richmond Animal Shelter every week so I'm used to handling a variety of dogs! I have a very flexible schedule and I would love to work with dogs of any activity level, age, or size! I definitely understand the importance of frequent potty breaks, consistent meal times, and lots of love and playtime! Also, punctuality is something that I take very seriously so you won't have to worry about me being late! But most importantly, I know how special your dog is to you and I will look after him or her as if he or she were my own! I look forward to getting to know both you and your sweet pup! :)

I supervise interactions and take the time to understand each dog’s personality, behavior, and comfort level.
