About: Just the 2 of us. Our sweet boy crossed over the rainbow bridge, and while we’re not quite ready to get another dog, we love making new paw friends! We both work from home, and have opposite schedules when leaving the house, so one of us is normally home! For over a year I have volunteered at an animal shelter where I regularly walk, spend time with, and care for dogs with a variety of behaviors and energy levels. I have also dog sat multiple times, both by welcoming dogs into my home and caring for pets in their own homes. As a graduate student, I have developed strong responsibility, communication, and time-management skills, and I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. As a graduate student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time and attention to pet care. I enjoy being active and spending time with animals, whether that means walks, playtime, drop-in visits, or keeping pets company. I make it a priority to provide reliable care and make sure pets receive attention, exercise, and consistency in their routine. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines, and I always strive to make them feel comfortable and secure. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, energy levels, and behaviors through both pet sitting and volunteering at an animal shelter. I carefully follow owners’ instructions, maintain a safe environment, and make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care while keeping owners updated along the way.
About: Hi there! I'm Carrie. I have been a pet owner and caretaker for over 15 years! I am experienced in walking, feeding, and otherwise caring for several types of pets. I currently own a cat and a dog, but I can also care for rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish! My main option here is dog walking, but I can also do drop-in visits as needed. I currently work part-time so I have plenty of time to care for your animals and take them for walks. I am available most weekends for drop-in visits, and I will house sit as needed! I will ensure that dogs remain safely leashed during all walks. If the temperature of asphalt is too warm for walks I make sure to stick to grassy areas. I ensure that I know current vet care and contact numbers for emergency situations.
About: I have years of experience with dogs across all sizes, energy needs and care needs! I’m very fond of all critters and can’t wait to help you out! I’m working part-time over the summer and a fellowship (32 hrs/week) into the 26-27 year, but I’m very available to provide care— just send me a message! “Hannah is a lifesaver! My husband and I had to attend a wedding near Harrisonburg, VA, which was a few hours away from home. We usually travel with our dog, Freya, so had to look for someone who can watch her while we attend the event. We couldn't do a meet and greet with Hannah and her dog days before the wedding since she's far but she took her chances with us. She sent us photos of Freya and she let Freya sleep on her bed, which was really sweet given she's only met Freya that same day. “Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
