About: Large fenced in backyard. Daily walks when weather cooperates (often times twice a day). We have a sweet old pup who still loves to play and would love a friend. We have had dogs all our lives and give lots of love. Will send pics daily or more often as desired. Our two boys are very sweet to dogs and are excited for more pups to play with and cuddle. I work from home and get up super early so I have time for walks before work. Work is flexible so I can care for the pup(s) as needed throughout the day. My 8 year old son gets home from school at 3 and would love a pup to play or hang out with. I have a large fenced in backyard and a sweet old pup who still likes to play and would love the company. Our house is large and spacious and we have a nice soft couch where our dog loves to lay. We have dog beds, dog bowls, and leashes in case you need to borrow ours. We offer lots of love and play time. Our two boys (8 and 5) have endless energy for playing with dogs and are very sweet with them. Daily walks (often times twice a day) if weather allows.

Peyton & Daved have cared for my high-energy Australian Shepherd puppy, Luna, on three separate occasions now, and every single time she is beyond excited when we pull up—and completely tuckered out after spending her stay playing with all of her friends. They are incredibly patient with me constantly asking for “pupdates” and always send plenty of photos and updates of Luna exploring, playing, and having fun. It makes such a difference and really helps ease the guilt of being away from her. I’m so grateful we found Peyton & Daved. “Eric is the best! I recently had a sitter cancel 6 hours before drop-off -- I thought my vacation was ruined! I immediately put out a Sunday morning last-minute Rover requests for a sitter, with very low expectations that anyone would even respond, much less accept. Within a few minutes, Eric responded and then accepted. He totally saved my vacation! After that, he was extremely communicative, but even better, he was perfect for my highly energetic doggo. He gave long dauly walks and play sessions. I knew that my dog would love having his Bucky as a 24/7 playmate, but I was very concerned that he has cats, since Sheba had never seen a cat before. Since she has a high prey drive, I thought there could be serious problems. Eric, however, seems to have a natural understanding of pets, and he was able to safely introduce Sheba to his cats, and apparently there were no issues. Also, Eric was highly flexible when my return flight was delayed by a day, and quickly agreed to extend the stay. I couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish.”

“Randi went above and beyond to make sure our animals were taken care of. She even voluntarily took home a chick that could not walk and fixed it's leg so it can get around on its own now. She also watered our plants and brought in mail while we were gone. She seems to know a lot about dogs and is a wealth of info on chickens, as well. Some of my chickens were not doing so well and thanks to her advice, they are looking healthier. I'd highly recommend her.”

About: Hi there! My name is Sam and I have experience sitting for all types of animals. From cuddly Pyrenees, and scary-smart German pinschers, to spunky chinchillas, their best cat friends, and curious pythons. I have been through partial behavioral training for dogs (and their humans), and have experience with animal hospice situations, as well as behaviorally aggressive dogs. I prefer to keep the animal's care as consistent as possible. The more details you have of your preferred method of walking, reward, or preparation habits, the better. Trust and care are my number one goals when it comes to animal sitting. Not just with the four legged babies, but with the parents as well. I know how important it is to feel comfortable with your care provider, and what a treat it is to know that you can trust someone with the care of your loved ones. Also, aren't dogs just perfect? I work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and am currently on telework, so my weekly availability is early morning, and late afternoon. I also volunteer at the Old Dominion Humaine Society and occasionally foster for them at my house. I have one <1 year old puppy, and I have a home with a large yard but no fence. That means all foster dogs get leash walked always and there are many mind teaser toys for rainy days. I feed in crates and make it a safe space for them to decompress.
