After driving for almost 8 hours and arriving at our hotel at 9 PM on a Friday evening, we found out that their pet friendly policy only applied to dogs. That was a major issue for us since we had brought our dog and our cat with us, sending us into an absolute panic. We sent a message to Savannah and not only did she respond immediately, but she brought us out of our panic by telling us to head right over with our sweet girl. During her time watching our Kitterz, she sent us pictures and updates daily, which let us know we left her in good hands. About: I cannot remember a time where I haven’t owned a cat. From adopting them out of shelters to adopting them out of our garage; I have absolutely adored them. I’ve administered many medications throughout my time along with bottle fed kittens every 3-4 hours.

About: I have had cats my entire life and have extensive experience caring for them through all stages of life. Growing up with cats taught me the importance of understanding their individual personalities, routines, and needs. In my adult life, I have had two cats of my own. One of them I raised from a kitten and cared for throughout his entire life until he was 13 years old. About: I've been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with them, cared for and dog sat for over 15 years while being a nannny. I've had two dogs of my own as well. My family and I have recently lost our beloved pup and are desiring to spend time with yours to get all the dog snuggles and love we can! I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids. We are home daily and most weekends. We love for your sweet pup to hang with us during the day or stay with us during a vacation or long weekend away. About: We’re a dog-loving family with experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and energy levels. We have two dogs of our own: a senior Lab/hound mix and a middle-aged Great Dane. We’re comfortable with everything from energetic playtime to older dogs who prefer a slower pace, and we’re happy to follow your dog’s normal routines, feeding schedule, and house rules. We both work hybrid schedules, so someone is home with the dogs most of the time. Dogs get regular outdoor breaks throughout the day and plenty of attention and interaction. We’re happy to accommodate dogs who need more activity as well as those who are content to relax and hang out with us. We have a large, fenced-in yard where dogs can safely get outside and play. Our fence is approximately 3 feet high and made of hog wire, so we’re best suited for dogs who aren’t jumpers or determined escape artists. Our own dogs respect the boundary. We also have a dog-loving 4-year-old, so dogs must be comfortable and safe around children. Our dogs are friendly and accustomed to sharing their space with other dogs. At night, visiting dogs sleep downstairs on their own dog bed or one of our designated “dog couches.” Crate-trained dogs are welcome to use their crate if that is what makes them most comfortable.

About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours SUNDAY thru WEDNESDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. About: I work as a Veterinarian Assistant for an amazing clinic! Ever since childhood, I knew animal caregiving was my future. I started in different 4H groups to start growing my knowledge in this field! When I was 13, I started working at a boarding Barn facility. At this facility, I took care of multiple different types of animals including dogs and cats! In high school, I took a majority of health science classes and agricultural classes including vet sciences. I am currently attending RCC to finish prerequisites for VT to start getting a veterinary license! I own 4 cats. Everyday is animal care, from basic feeding, grooming, cleaning to vet visits and cuddles. My furbaby, Olive, is a diabetic cat, so medication, vet appointments, and general care is so extremely important for her quality of life. I’ve owned dogs and cats for as long as I can remember. I still work with local farms, so animal care is extremely important to me. Basic care for all animals includes food and clean water everyday. Litter gets scooped once a day and dogs get let out however many times they need. I am 100% willing to do extra care as needed for the animals and clients!

“Stephanie and Matt were an absolute dream. I could tell right away that our timid-but-playful pup would feel safe and loved the two days our family spent at Busch Gardens and Water Country. Their home is spacious and bright, with an enormous fenced backyard. Their dog Callie was so friendly, as was the other dog being watched at the same time. Our dog Hattie was spoiled (in all the best ways) with playtime, treats and even sharing Stephanie's pillow overnight. :) I would recommend Stephanie and Matt to anyone needing wonderful care for their dog(s) in Williamsburg. “We can’t say enough about Savannah. She was an absolute godsend for our family. After driving for almost 8 hours and arriving at our hotel at 9 PM on a Friday evening, we found out that their pet friendly policy only applied to dogs. That was a major issue for us since we had brought our dog and our cat with us, sending us into an absolute panic. We sent a message to Savannah and not only did she respond immediately, but she brought us out of our panic by telling us to head right over with our sweet girl. During her time watching our Kitterz, she sent us pictures and updates daily, which let us know we left her in good hands. Going above and beyond, she invited us to visit during our vacation since she knew we were missing our girl. We wish there were more than 5 stars to rate her because she was incredible!”

About: I have taken care of lots of dogs over the years. I love on all of them, and give great doggie massages. I take the dogs on daily walks. I work 3 to 4 hours each day and am home most of the time. I am a master gardener and spend a lot of free time in the yard. I have a fairly large fenced in back yard. I take my own dogs for a morning walk most every day. I give lots of treats.
“My dog, who is an escape artist, was well protected in yard with a sturdy fence. He received a lot of activity, play time with other animals and cuddles. I was able to leave my cat with Becca as well. This was of great comfort to me knowing my cat and dog, who are buddies, could stay together. I highly recommend her services.”
