About: I've been taking care of animals of all kinds since I was 12! I started volunteering early with a local humane society and have been active in rescues ever since. I have also fostered dogs from two months-10 years old, including medical fosters, so I'm comfortable giving pets medicine if need be. I currently work at UVA in their communications office, where I have a lot of flexibility, especially on Thursdays and Fridays when I work remotely. I'm available most weekends and many holidays! I live in a shared house with a unfenced backyard and a couple of roommates, both of whom love dogs! There's a trail near me that I enjoy walking dogs on if they are OK with other people/dogs. Otherwise, I take dogs on walks once or twice daily.

About: I started my journey with dogs 4 years ago and have not looked back enjoying every moment since. I am a certified trainer who loves improving the relationship between human and dog. We have a dog yard plus 5 acres. All dogs stay in our extra bedroom, which is now considered the dog room. I personally have two dogs, a cattle dog and a husky mix. They are both very social with all other dogs. We like to have a good time here but I keep a very safe environment for the dogs, no fighting or picking on one another. NO DOG IS TURNED AWAY. About: I have a large family dog that I have been responsible for since I was about 10 years old. She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). “Soooo happy with Charissa! We drove quite a distance to bring Daisy to her for boarding because Daisy needed a little...no a lot...of professional training reinforcement. In our time at the Meet and Greet, we learned a lot about the care and training style Daisy would receive. We felt it to be truly balanced and something we could continue, in spite of our difficulties with giving corrections. In addition to seeing improvement, Charissa was very communicative, including many photos. (Excellent photos, too.) We will continue to make the drive and board with her in the future.”

We had never used Rover before and this was the first time we had left them with anyone so we were very nervous about the whole thing, plus we were gone for 2 weeks. About: I've been taking care of animals of all kinds since I was 12! I started volunteering early with a local humane society and have been active in rescues ever since. I have also fostered dogs from two months-10 years old, including medical fosters, so I'm comfortable giving pets medicine if need be. I currently work at UVA in their communications office, where I have a lot of flexibility, especially on Thursdays and Fridays when I work remotely. I'm available most weekends and many holidays! I live in a shared house with a unfenced backyard and a couple of roommates, both of whom love dogs! There's a trail near me that I enjoy walking dogs on if they are OK with other people/dogs. Otherwise, I take dogs on walks once or twice daily.
“Cash had the best time on his weekend stay with Aly. He had a Super Bowl party with new friends! I got lots of updates and could tell he was happy and relaxed. When I went to pick him up he said hello and trotted right back inside, he was not ready to leave! I know he will be so excited to go back to his new vacation house whenever we have to leave town!”
