“I did a lot of homework and reviewing of boarders for my 1.5-year-old, 70 lb. Aussie/golden before landing on Robin because of her amazing reviews and years of experience. We had just had a terrible board and train situation leaving him with some pressure sores and anxiety. I am so glad I chose Robin though. She allowed me to come out a month before booking to see her facilities, get to know me and my pup, and to explain how his days would be going. Ollie looked so incredibly comfortable around her then I started calling our vacation his summer camp. She sent pictures almost daily of Ollie running around and playing with other pups. He came back to me 5 lb. lighter than before because of it (he needed it!) and I can also tell that she kept up with his training that we have been working on which I greatly appreciated. He actually looked disappointed to go home! We will of course be back and will tell everyone we know who needs a boarder! Thank you, Robin!”

Your dog won’t be left alone for long and will get consistent care throughout the day. I do my best to make every dog feel at home here. I keep a comfortable routine with regular meals, potty breaks, and lots of love and attention throughout the day. I take time to make sure dogs feel safe and settle in at their own pace, and I always supervise interactions. Whether your dog is playful or more laid-back, I adjust to their needs so they feel relaxed and cared for.

Unfortunately our kitty would run and hide after greeting her so she couldn’t get many pictures. She even went and found him and sat trying to convince him to come out! I am also a former Petshotel and Doggie Day Camp Manager for a national chain and have extensive experience handling dogs, cats, and small pets of all sizes and breeds. I am currently accepting small and medium sized dogs for in house day care and overnight stays. I specialize in small and delicate breed types, not usually suited for kenneling or vet boarding. All fur babies will be treated as family members while here! They can sit on the couch, sleep on the bed, and watch TV with us just like at home. Some larger "gentle giants" can be considered on a case by case basis, just reach out. I believe pets are family! All pets in my care are treated with loving and gentle guidance using only positive reinforcement. All dogs will remain on leash the entirety of their walk. We have a fenced in area off the back patio for bathroom breaks with wood chips as ground coverage. No grass of any kind for the safety of those pets with grass and skin allergies.

One of our dogs is what we believe is a Foxhound and the other is a Shepherd mix. Both are rescues so we are not sure. I also have experience with cats, parrots (green crowned conure) and various farm animals. Update: I no longer work from home. I am now in Richmond M-F, 8-5. I am happy to stop by during my lunch break to check on your babies in the city. Any other surrounding areas would have to be weekends and not during work hours. Apologies for any inconvenience! About: My husband and I have a 7 year old German short haired pointer and a 10 year old Wheaten Terrier/King Charles Spaniel mix. They are both friendly with other dogs. They have free range of the house other than our living room couch. We have an Invisible fence brand around our yard and we live in a cul-da-sac in our neighborhood, which is also great for walks. I have taken care of my parents dogs when they are out of town and have stayed at many client’s homes the past several years to care for their dogs while they are on vacation. I would feed them twice a day and give potty breaks before and after work. Now I am a stay at home mom with my newborn daughter, so my schedule is flexible for walks, potty breaks, etc. I love spending time with dogs, whether it's outside playing or cuddling in the house. I have given my dogs medication to swallow when prescribed by their veterinarian as well as cleaning out their ears every 2-3 times a week for normal hygiene. I will follow all duties assigned to me to care for your pet. I am a stay at home mom with my newborn so my schedule is extremely flexible for feedings, walks, potty breaks, drop-ins, play times, day care, etc I will provide feedings, potty breaks, walks, inside/outside activities as needed/wanted per your request. We live in a cul-de-sac in our neighborhood which is great for walking, plus an Invisible fence around our wooded yard, which is great for playing fetch. Dogs are welcome to freely roam inside the home, other than on the living room couch. We have multiple dog beds, toys/bones, and water bowls around the house, plus two couches upstairs that the dogs are allowed on.

About: I've had various pets my entire life and been pet sitting/walking for over 25 years! I have experience with any species from hamsters, lizards, and bunnies, to cats and dogs, as well as livestock! My family raises and competes with oxen in the Northeast, and until recently moving south I cared for large animals (horses, cattle, goats, etc) as a side gig as well. We had just had a terrible board and train situation leaving him with some pressure sores and anxiety. I am so glad I chose Robin though. She allowed me to come out a month before booking to see her facilities, get to know me and my pup, and to explain how his days would be going. Ollie looked so incredibly comfortable around her then I started calling our vacation his summer camp. She sent pictures almost daily of Ollie running around and playing with other pups. He came back to me 5 lb. lighter than before because of it (he needed it!) and I can also tell that she kept up with his training that we have been working on which I greatly appreciated.
