About: I have taken care of cats since I was a kid and have had many cats throughout my life. I cat sit for family still to this day and have done lots of research on cats in general.
About: I’ve always had dogs in my life and helped friends and family take care of their pets. I house-sat throughout college. And growing up, neighbors would frequently trust me to take care of their pets while on vacation. I’ve looked after a variety of dogs, large dogs (Rottweiler and Goldens) and small (Yorkies and other terriers). I love them all. I’ve personally owned 2 boxers (one of which I rescued) and grew up with Dachshunds and a Scottish terrier. My husband has owned miniature Schnauzers. We are very knowledgeable in a variety of breeds. I work part-time during the week so there may be times where your pet will have to be alone for at least 8 hrs. We are both very active and outdoor lovers, so your pet won’t be cooped up inside all day, unless that is your preference. We have a fenced yard with security cameras. We pride ourselves on organization and paying attention to detail, so your baby will be prioritized and well taken of.

“I recently moved to Virginia Beach and had to go out of town unexpectedly for a family emergency and needed a cat sitter for a weekend. Rhiannon responded right away and set up a meet and greet, and I was impressed with her overall professionalism and reliability. My cat warmed up to her too!”

“Briana was so great. She kept us informed of everything going on with our pups. And she sent pictures every visit. They got extra treats (per my request) and wanted for nothing while we were away (7 days). We really enjoyed meeting w Briana before our trip. She'd be a perfect match for anyone needing a long term sitter.”

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience working in animal shelters, dog daycare centers, and boarding facilities. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and needs. After recently losing my beloved dogs, I realized I wasn't quite ready for another long-term commitment, but I deeply missed having dogs around. Rover has given me the perfect opportunity to open my home and heart to dogs while helping other pet parents feel confident their pets are in good hands. I'm a stay-at-home mom, which means your dog will have plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. We have a large fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play and exercise. I also have two cats who grew up with dogs and are comfortable sharing their space, as well as two young children who have been around dogs their entire lives and know how to interact respectfully with them. For the comfort and safety of every pet in my care, I only accept dogs from one household at a time. This allows me to provide individualized attention and create a calm, stress-free environment during their stay. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I will care for your dog as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day. My mornings typically begin with feeding pets, potty breaks, walks, or playtime before my family's daily activities start. Because I am home most of the day, pets receive frequent attention, supervision, and companionship rather than being left alone for long periods. Throughout the day, I can accommodate additional potty breaks, outdoor time in our fenced yard, feeding schedules, medication administration if needed, and plenty of affection and enrichment. In the evenings, pets are included in our family's relaxed routine, with more playtime, walks, and cuddles before bedtime. For boarding and daycare, dogs are rarely left unattended, and I only accept pets from one household at a time to ensure each pet receives personalized care and attention. I care for every pet as if they were my own, taking the time to learn their routine, preferences, and personality. I understand that being away from their family can be stressful, so I strive to provide a calm, safe, and loving environment where pets feel comfortable and secure. For dogs, I provide regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection. Dogs have access to our large fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, and because I am home throughout the day, they receive consistent attention and companionship. I only care for dogs from one household at a time, which allows me to focus on their individual needs and maintain a low-stress environment. For cats, I ensure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and attention at their comfort level. Whether your cat enjoys playtime, cuddles, or simply having a quiet and reliable caretaker, I respect their personality and routine. I am also comfortable following special instructions, administering medications when needed, and providing regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“Kristynah is the best dog sitter anyone could ask for. Knowledgeable, extremely caring, and gives the best updates plus takes beautiful pictures of your pup. I love it when she is available to watch my puppy because I know he is in good hands. 10/10”

“Eugene is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! He watched Brinkley for us (2nd time) while we took a quick day trip. Brinkley was so excited to see Eugene when we arrived, and I know he had a fun day. Thanks again, Eugene!”

“I can't say enough good things about Dustin. I met him this morning when I dropped off Blaze, my 4 month old lab. We spent a good amount of time talking as my boy was introduced do some of the other dogs. He answered all my questions, gave me plenty of tips & suggestions for specific situations and things I had planned for the future. He really put me at ease which is saying a lot because I don't have a ton of dog experience. When I picked Blaze up this afternoon Dustin showed me a few videos he took, we talked a bit more about puppies in general, etc - I could go on and on. Suffice it to say it's clear he enjoys working with our furry friends, he's really good at it, and I intend to bring Blaze for more visits soon, maybe some training too.”

“Yulia is magic! My dogs loved her and she goes above and beyond caring for her visitors. She makes sure they feel truly welcomed into her home and family. Plenty of updates showing what a great time my dogs had while in her care. She is my absolute go-to from now on.”

“Landon was great with Murphy! Very responsive and friendly. It was super easy to make arrangements for drop off and pick up. Definitely recommend and will use again.”

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life! At one point I had 5 shepherds! I’ve always volunteered (or was paid 🤭) to walk my neighbors dogs when I was younger or watch/play with friends and family pups. My energy has always matched theirs! I’ve watched pups for extended periods of times while friends were out on a boat DET or deployed (cats too!). Animals have just always had a special place in my heart 🫶🏼 I’m active duty military and when I’m home, I’m not a big traveler so I am home a lot. The extent of my travel has always had something to do with my dogs. Hiking, trail running, Going to the beach- if I can bring them, I’m doing it! My husband owns a gym with a HUGE fenced in dog yard that he takes our 3 shepherds to every day. So that is an option if you’d like your pet to have the freedom to run around with other dogs and be around people every day! Let’s chat and we can work something out! I am reliable, trustworthy and punctual! I work from 9-2 and my husband works 5am-12.. the rest of the day we are at home playing with the pups, taking them to run around dismal swamp (it’s more like a park) or building things. We don’t travel much, our pets are our world so we like to be here with them and take them on adventures! They have to live their best life too, right?! My availability is very open and I look forward to playing/caring/watching your pet! Customer (and dog owner 😉) service and satisfaction is my goal! I have a fenced in yard with 3 loving GSDs that we have had since they were pups! They sleep in our bedroom with us at night and there isn’t a kennel in our home. If your dog sleeps in a kennel or needs to be kenneled when no one is home- that’s perfectly fine too! We have extra comfy doggy beds for your pup when they’re boarded as well! My home is a safe, loving environment so rest assured, your pet will be treated like they’re my own!

“My babies had a great time with Lacey! She was patient with their wild, rambunctious, puppy selves and is definitely an animal lover. Great communication and attention to detail, I will definitely hire her again and recommend her to my friends.”

About: I've grown up surrounded by animals of all kinds—from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, and small mammals—so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. I currently have three dogs of my own, and I understand firsthand just how much love, attention, and routine they need to feel happy and safe. Alongside providing childcare, I regularly care for pets as part of my daily routine, including walking dogs, feeding, and making sure each pet feels secure and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s a playful pup, a shy senior cat, or something a little more exotic, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Pet care is a big part of my everyday routine—I care for my three dogs, two cats, and a frog daily, making sure they’re fed, exercised, and well-loved. From morning walks to evening feedings, tending to their needs is something I truly enjoy and prioritize every day. I walk the dogs, clean up after the animals, feed them, keep them safe and clean, and make sure they always feel loved. I diligently take care of any animal, as if they were my own.
About: I absolutely love taking care of pets, especially dogs! I have a lot of energy to keep all dogs entertained. I have dog sitted before and absolutely enjoyed it. Seeing the dogs get excited when you show them the leash or even just show up is the best feeling ever! I try to get to know each dog as best as I can. If a dogs is super hyper and likes to go on runs, then I will do it. If a dog likes to walk at a slower pace, then we will walk at that pace. Each dog is special in their own way. I can also help clean any part of the house while watching over the dogs, if any help is needed. I am currently working during the week ( Monday- Friday) but I am free on anytime during the weekends. For Monday-Friday it just depends when you will need me and I can adjust. I can care for your pet in your own if they are more comfortable. Or I can have them in my own which has a fenced in yard.

Throughout the stay her communications were excellent and she sent great pictures. We didn’t worry on our trip because we knew Lyra was in great hands! We knew Lyra was treated as family while in her stay! Would 100 percent book her again!”

“We truly appreciate the care you gave our girl Roxy. She’s 13 and needs more attention, meds, potty time, etc and you made us feel comfortable with leaving her with you. We loved all the pictures you sent and how you kept us informed of her daily activities. Thank you for being so kind.”

“Priscilla was so easy and reliable to work with, which was especially nice for my first time using Rover. She provided regular updates and photos and was easily accessible. She was also flexible with my pick up time. Highly recommended!”

“I cannot recommend Nina enough! From the moment I left my dog in her care, I felt completely at ease. She provided regular updates, sent plenty of pictures, and made sure I always knew how my pups were doing. I will absolutely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!”
