“Samantha offered to come pick Sophie up, which I didn’t request, so that was awesome. She was also very communicative and sent a lot of photos and updates, which I appreciated a lot.”
“Shannon was wonderful! Her home is a perfect dog palace - very dog friendly with lots of room and a great, fenced backyard! She has nice large areas indoors to be able to separate them as needed. She was super accommodating in setting up a meet n greet prior to Gemma's stay. I think it's always nice to let dogs meet and sniff things out before just dropping them off at a strangers home! Gemma is slow to warm up to other dogs and Shannon allowed her space to do that, which I greatly appreciate. Her own two dogs are very friendly and well behaved - good energy to have when your dog might be nervous in a new place. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back. Thanks so much, Shannon!!”

“My poodle has stayed with Emily many times for both boarding and daycare and he always comes home happy and in good shape. He starts getting excited as soon as he sees me packing his bag, because he knows he's going to meet some great dog friends and get some exciting activity. I always feel comfortable traveling for work knowing he's in her hands.”

“Fantastic! John was great with communication before and throughout Manny’s stay. Made sure I was comfortable leaving my baby boy and sent me photos every day. Manny seemed right at home with him, and I was at ease. Thank you so much for caring for my boy!”

“They looked like they had a great time! Was given plenty of attention and treats. Did not appear overly hungry or thirsty when we brought them back home telling me they were given plenty of food and water. Liked that Lydia has a fenced in back yard and appreciated the daily picture updates and video without me having to ask first. Was also able to get us in last minute and was very responsive. Would highly recommend!”

“This was Tucker and Bailey's first visit. I was so pleased with the care they received while we were out of town. I received a couple updates that included pictures throughtout the week which was so nice. The kennel was large and seemed to have enough space for them which is helpful because they are kind of big dogs!”

“Theresa took excellent care of Lucy. Very happy with our experience and would totally have our dog stay there again. Thanks so much, Theresa!”

“Marah is the only sitter I will leave my dog with!! Whiskey has stayed with her multiple times and never wants to leave her house when it’s time to go. He has the best time with the other dogs. Marah is truly one of a kind and I can’t thank her enough with how amazing she is!!”

“Hunter consistently shows up when scheduled. She is good about letting me know if changes are needed to the schedule due to other commitments, which happens infrequently. She is open to communication and has formed a tangible bond with Mr. Percy the cat. Always feel at ease about leaving him in her care. Just my take on it, but Hunter genuinely cares for the animals she looks after. You'd be lucky to have her care for your pets!”

“Lisa is great, our cat, Rocket took to her right away! We absolutely will choose her again, she was quick to respond, throughout the meet and greet and her first time caregiving. Lisa is friendly and prompt. She had notebook, and wrote down all of our instructions, and asked about anything she wasn't sure of. She didn't even gag at the raw diet we feed our cat! : ) We we're kept well informed while away with plenty of pictures of our fur baby. She genuinely love animals and will fuss over yours as much as her own. Thanks so much for such a good experience Lisa!”

“Selena was able to watch my cat with only three days notice. My regular sitter canceled at the last minute before my vacation. My cat was happy and healthy when I returned home. The feeding schedules were a little different than he was used to because we were squeezed in at the last minute.”

About: I've been around cats of various personalities since I was very young. I have pet- and house-sat for friends and family for many years now, and it is a genuine joy to spoil their pets rotten. I have owned and pet-sat senior cats many times, and I have a decent amount of experience with oral medication. I get along great with pets of all kinds of temperaments—shy, excited, grumpy, calm, anxious—and I am not afraid to sit for pets with "difficult" temperaments, just let me know beforehand.

“Katie did an excellent job taking care of Tomás. She was responsible, attentive, and caring. She kept me updated and gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her and trust her again in the future.” 🐱”

“She was fantastic!! We have house cams and can verify that she is always timely, always respectful of our home, and was very kind and loving with my cats. I will be hiring her again for my next trip because she was worth every penny. Thank you, again!”

“Emily took care of our puppy George for the day and she took excellent care of him. He played with the other dogs she was dog sitting for and sent lots of pictures. We would definitely use Emily again and would recommend her!”

“My dog Max appeared to have a wonderful time at Richard and Kelly’s. It’s awesome to have found a place close to work and home to take him for daycare :) 100% going again !!”

“Our previous sitter told me they are moving, which prompted me to search for a new sitter. I decided to try Rebecca, and am I glad I did! I was happy with our first sitter, but LuLu spent her time there just sniffing their yard and snuggling up on the couch with the sitter. She barely ate and wouldn't play with their dog. It was such a delight to see how happy LuLu was at Rebecca's place. She ran around the yard like I haven't seen her do since she was a puppy. When Rebecca thought LuLu needed a rest and brought her inside, LuLu whined to go back out, so out she went for more running around! Finally, she took a nap on the couch, then got up and ate all of her dinner. Then she settled down chewing on her toy until we came back for her. She was happy to see us, but gave Rebecca a tail wag when they said goodbye. I'm so glad LuLu found a place where she can thrive when we're gone. Now I won't hesitate to book a vacation! Rebecca was very attentive to the history I gave her about LuLu and my instructions about her routine and fears. We did a Meet & Greet on short notice, and Rebecca showed LuLu and me her back yard and inside her house. She assured me that she would never give LuLu an opportunity to run away. The way Rebecca gave me updates all day long assured me that LuLu was being well cared for and was having a great time. Rebecca is definitely Lulu's new sitter. I couldn't be happier with her care.”

“I couldn't ask for a better dog sitter. Marah will love your dog as if it was her own and I feel so comfortable dropping my pup off at her place. She is a gem of a person!”

“Chloe was really great to work with our big dog. He has separation anxiety and can be a nervous and shy dog. She did a meet and greet beforehand, listened and asked questions about him. She also sent lots of photos and updates on his first day to make sure we knew he had settled and was doing okay. Really great experience to have for our 80lbs sensitive boy. Thank you!”

“We could not have asked for a better experience with Kimberly! She’s communicative and flexible, and Wilson is happy and tired after a fun day of playing! We look forward to many more fun days for Wilson with her!”

About: I began volunteering at my local animal shelter at the age of 9 and have been caring for animals ever since. I have 20 years experience pet sitting for neighbors and I have my own 6 year old pitbull, Cleo, so I’m no stranger to energetic dogs. I’m a teacher, so my summers give me full flexibility to care for your animals! I love to walk dogs on local greenways and trails. I have a fenced in backyard where your dog can play. If they like to play with a buddy, my dog will be their best friend!
“Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

“Loved having Cindy watch my new rescue pup ! Gave me updates and pictures throughout the day. Was super flexible with my work schedule . Very responsive . Will definitely use her again in the future.”

I will be out of the house periodically but will not be out longer than 3-4 hours at a time. “Gussie did a wonderful job taking care of Simba, our geriatric Lionhead bunny. She was on time, followed instructions and was excellent in helping us during a stressful time.”

About: I care for my four cats at home and have taken care of dogs for my neighbors and friends. I try to stay consistent with your routine for your pet to create a familiar environment for your furry friend. Whether drop-in care, overnight stays, or walks, I put effort into maintaining the environment that is right for your pet.
“Zoe was great! She was always on-schedule and was very patient with my weird little girl. She does things like hiding when it's time to go out and then pulling a LOT once you finally get her out. But Zoe never complained and always hung around with the baby for a few minutes of love and play after the walk. My schedule has changed and no longer need a dog-walker, but if I ever need one again, will definitely look for her!”

About: I’ve grown up taking care of family dogs and cats, and now have two 6 year old cats of my own! “Jessika was easily the best I’ve found in the app by far. I work long hours and require someone to stop by for a walk and food/water break. She was great with my puppy and even left a little surprise for her. My little girl seemed much less stressed after her visits and it completely removed the stress of worrying about her while working. I would absolutely recommend Jessika!”

About: I have cared for dogs my entire life, from my own pets, to taking care of friends and family’s pets. I have assisted in training exercises and am well versed in counting and reinforcing trained behavior. I have 5 years of experience with doggie day care and basic grooming services. I care for my clients pets just as if they were my own, by providing focused care, attention, and love to all pets in my care.
About: I have years of experience caring for my dog and former cats. I am also the kind of person who always finds the dog at a social function, so pet sitting is my favorite job. It is important to note that I live on a military base, and clients who do not have access will need to be checked in. I am mostly free all day Thursday-Tuesday and will be able to provide most of my time to caring for your pets. At home, I feed my dog twice a day, and I take her for impromptu walks 1-3 times a day. I will adhere to a client’s usual schedule if needed. I ensure that bathroom breaks are covered as often as necessary. I pay attention to a dog or cat’s personality or specific needs. About: I’ve been around all types of animals ever since I was born- ranging from small dogs, large dogs, cats, reptiles, and avians! I enjoy taking care of fur-babies of different species. Working in veterinary medicine for 5 years and on-going has taught me a lot about taking more in-depth care of our fur-babies. From medicating with pills to injections or even handling them on case to case basis. I currently work full-time as a veterinary assistant from 7-5 and I am willing to work with schedules if need be! I’m available almost every weekend and have Thursday as a day off. My schedule is flexible and very open! I’m comfortable with leash walking, fenced in back-yards, and crating. Feeding on a schedule and making sure that they will get the potty breaks and exercise they need!

“Chester came back, happy and tired, which that’s what my goal was. I did think that this was a dog walk for an hour but it seems that it was just him playing out in the yard so definitely not what I thought I had paid for. However, whatever was done did work. So no offense I’m gonna see if I can find somebody who will walk him and see if it has even better results. I will keep you in mind if I need a long-term sitter like for a day or two days or a week. I’m not sure if you do that or not but Might work out for me.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was about 6. I’ve trained puppies and taken care of senior dogs. I’m an expert walker and love to play with all kinds of fur-babies! I do have a full time job but my morning is always open along with the full days on my days off which is two days a week. As long as I know where all the necessities are for your fur-baby everything will go smoothly! If your pet needs to be crated I feel comfortable doing so and if not I would take them out every 2 hours to use the bathroom unless told otherwise!
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life—literally! I’ve had two or more dogs in my home since I was born, so caring for them has always been second nature. I’m currently a student-athlete at roanoke college and in my offseason so I am never away from home for more than 3 hours at a time which means I have plenty of time to care for your pups! I have two chocolate labs of my own and miss them so much that I decided coming back to rover would be perfect to get some dog time. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes and look forward to meeting them! I work part-time, but I’m lucky to be able to pick my own hours—so taking care of pups is my top priority! My schedule is super flexible, which means I can usually make just about anything work. I try to match their routine and personality so they feel as comfortable as possible!

“Selena was an 11th hour request and she accommodated me and my little ones with no issues at all. Selena kept all 3 of my dogs for 3.5 days and they enjoyed their time with her. She kept me posted with pictures and an update. She asked questions if she saw something odd and she let me know how they were doing. I would not have gone on vacation had I not felt comfortable with our first conversation where she told me that she allows the dogs to roam the house and be part of the family. ❤️ if you book with Selena, you can have peace of mind! I'll be booking with her again, no doubt!”

“Courtney & Kameron took great care of Barkley while I was away. He went on lots of walks and enjoyed all the extra attention. Courtney sent lots of pic throughout the weekend. Will definitely use them again!!!”
