“Randi went above and beyond to make sure our animals were taken care of. She even voluntarily took home a chick that could not walk and fixed it's leg so it can get around on its own now. She also watered our plants and brought in mail while we were gone. She seems to know a lot about dogs and is a wealth of info on chickens, as well. Some of my chickens were not doing so well and thanks to her advice, they are looking healthier. I'd highly recommend her.”
About: I’ve been surrounded by cats for as long as I can remember! Growing up as an only child, our pets were my built-in best friends, and caring for them was my responsibility from a young age. I’ve continued to have cats throughout my adult life, and I currently have cats of my own who are very loved (and very spoiled!) members of our family. Over the years, friends and neighbors have trusted me to drop in and stay with their cats while they’re away. I know cats have their own personalities, routines, and comfort levels. Some want all the attention the second you walk through the door, while others need you to earn their trust from across the room first! I’m happy to meet them wherever they’re most comfortable. Whether that means meals and fresh water, litter box care, playtime, medication or routine needs, lots of cuddles, or simply giving them some company and making sure everything is okay, I want your cat to feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I have had to give my own cats medications from time to time and I know how hard that can be! I am experienced and comfortable being able to do what is needed for your fur babies! I’m also a mom to a toddler and three pets of my own, and in our house, pets are never “just pets”, they’re family. I know how nerve-racking it can be to trust someone else with one of your babies, so I’ll always treat your cat with the same patience, attention, and love I’d want someone to give my own. And yes, I will absolutely send you pictures of your cat while you’re gone.

Besides having a dog as a pet throughout my lifetime, I volunteered my time to help train service dogs for a local organization for the past 2 years. During this time I would walk, feed and bathe puppies through adulthood. My schedule allows me plenty of freedom to make pet care a natural, and very welcome, part of my day! In our house, pet care is part of our everyday routine! I make sure fresh water is always available both upstairs and downstairs and changed daily, my cats’ food is checked and replenished each day, and my dog eats on a consistent twice-daily schedule. When I’m home, my dog gets a morning or afternoon walk, plenty of trips outside to our fenced backyard throughout the day, and usually a daycare day or two each week for some extra exercise and socialization. When I leave the house, I’m also very mindful of his safety, he stays comfortably downstairs with access to his bed and water, potential chewing hazards are put away, and toys that require supervision are never left out. I’d bring that same level of attention to caring for your pets! I know every animal and household has its own routine, so I’m happy to follow your feeding schedule, potty or litter box routine, walking preferences, playtime rules, and any other instructions that help your pet feel comfortable. Whether your pet thrives on a strict schedule or has their own wonderfully specific set of quirks, I want their routine to feel as normal as possible while you’re away.

“Jessica was amazing! She walked my two dogs, a high strung chihuahua and elderly dog (14 y.o.), for 30min for 4 days. She reached out and asked if I wanted her to meet the dogs before walking them which was great. The chihuahua tends to bark his head off at strangers, and I wasn't sure how he'd react (he ended up running away from her the first day for 15min, sorry Jessica). The older dog had diarrhea throughout the house one day, and cleaning up after something like that isn't really what I consider her job. I told her she didn't need to worry about it, and I'd deal with it when I got back. However, she ended up cleaning up as much as she could anyways (that's going to be a big tip). Besides my dogs being a huge pain. She always responded quickly and sent a lot of pictures from the walks.”

About: I have taken care of other peoples pets since I was a teenager. I have done drop ins and over night care for dogs and cats! I know fur babies are family and I take very good care of them.
