About: I grew up on a working farm, so I've cared for all kinds of animals throughout my life. My family and I bred, raised, and sold labrador puppies for many years. About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I helped my childhood dog with her liter and one of her puppies was my best friend until he crossed the rainbow bridge a year ago. I currently have a sweet loving 9 year old black lab and a fun 3 year old labradoodle. I’m a stay at home mom who homeschools as well and play outside a lot with my children and my dogs. From housetraining puppies to caring for aging senior dogs, I have experience with a range of personalities/quirks and am very comfortable with large or hyperactive dogs and rescues. My older Beagle, who I cared for for more than 13 years, had a seizure disorder and in the final months of her life, we administered IV sub-Q fluids to her every 2-3 days, so I have experience with caring for pups with medical needs and I can administer medication. I also have 5 years of experience volunteering in a high-volume animal shelter, working predominantly with large dogs, so I understand how animals might behave when they are in a stressful environment and interacting with an unfamiliar person. While I will happily accept ALL dogs under 30lbs, I specialize in elderly pets/special needs pets who don't do well in boarding situations and need extra care throughout the day. I'm well-versed in administering oral medication, injections, and even subcutaneous fluids as needed. I am available 24hrs a day for potty breaks and medication routines. I am currently the only sitter in the western area of VA that is certified through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council, a 3rd party certification. When we aren't hanging out in that room, our house has hardwood floors with many rugs to keep paws stable, and tons of dog beds(of all sizes) scattered around for comfort. For potty times, I have a spacious fenced-in yard with plenty of shade! Meal times are at your pet's schedule! I make sure to follow any feeding and medication schedules you provide. My husband works from home, so if I am delayed due to traffic from an errand or such, he can let the pups out to potty or give time-sensitive medications/feedings. Pups are crated or placed in a separate room for Meal times and during Potty rotations to ensure no one gets too rowdy and no one becomes aggressive over their food. I love getting to know each dogs personality and figure go above and beyond to consider the needs of a variety of pups. I have a flexible schedule allowing me to provide constant care for your pup. I am interested in meeting and caring for all types of dogs, big/small, puppy or seniors! I can be as flexible as possible and will be honest about your pup’s care. I will treat your fur-babes like part of the family. We have a fenced in yard and If your pup is more comfortable as part of the pack, they are invited in to have the run of the house with our family dogs. We love dogs and will try to accommodate any special requests. Available to check in on your pups every 4 hours (m-f) and spend weekends all day with your dogs! I can check in with your pups every 3-4 hours during the day and be there to stay after 4 pm. I prioritize feeding and potty schedules to make sure there are little to no changes in their routines. I care for your pets like they are my own. Figuring out they’re behaviors and personalities is important to me. Some dogs need lots of love and attention and others like their space, either way they’ll be in great hands.
About: Animals are my life! I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. Currently I have a pug, Pixie. I have had guinea pigs, hamsters, bearded dragons, turtles and cats before. Currently I work part time and have lots of extra time for walks. I will board your dogs or cats, or I can make daily check-ins at your home. I am currently retired and only work some part-time jobs. I am pretty flexible and will work with families to take care of your precious pets. I have a large farm and home and will crate your dogs as needed. They will love the open space for walks and play. I will keep all pets separated for a more stress-free experience.
About: I have raised many different types of dogs for 15+ years. For the last 5 years, I have housed many different animals in need. I have trained puppies, as well as nervous, and abused dogs. I make sure my home is a very welcome environment for animals of all kinds. Like my husband likes to say, I want a petting zoo in life. I currently work part-time in a pawn shop and full time mom to an adorable little toddler. We love being able to be around and care for animals as much as we can. I go on holidays maybe once or twice a year so I’m always around willing to help train or even just be a companion to your furry friend while you’re away I have an open yard with plenty of space to run around. I also have crates within the house just in case they need to be crated too. I have 3 adult dogs that roam free and are very friendly, as well as 3 puppies, and a 2 cats inside my house as well too. But it’s very rare my cats will come out during the day if I’m housing a dog inside.

About: I have grown up around all kinds of dogs all of my life. Dogs who are scared of everyone, love everyone they all hold a special place in my heart. I have always wanted to do this ! I am a stay at home mom with two dogs of my own, so I really have a very open Monday-Friday Schedule and I am open to discussing weekends! “Katie was more than amazing! I have left our Doberman, Roxy, at various kennels, and other Rover sitters, but Roxy would seem anxious or would get sick after I picked her up from those places. Not with Katie! I felt that our furry friend was with family. It was clear that our naturally anxious dog has made a friend. She seemed happy and content and although she was excited to see me, she was not anxious or rushing to leave Katie's place.
