“Layne did a wonderful job with Sandy. I was a little anxious at first leaving Sandy, but Layna kept me informed with updates daily, videos of there play time together outside. If you are looking for a dog sitter for any reason, you won't be disappointed.”

“We could not be happier with Katie...she sent daily texts and updates of all the fun things they were doing with Guinness and her family seemed to genuinely enjoy having him which is the best you can ask for when you're not there to take care of your pet yourself. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Hillary and her family are amazing! We live about 40 minutes away, but as soon as we got there, we immediately felt like their land was a perfect place for dogs to play. So, it was worth the drive! Hillary was so kind and her kids were very friendly. Daisy felt comfortable in their home right away. She had another puppy staying there over the weekend and her own dog Joshua. I was a little worried about how my puppy would do with other dogs and children, but seeing her play with them before I left was so comforting. Hillary has a background in puppy training and I could tell just by how she interacted with Daisy and the other pup. Hillary was great with communication and sent pictures every day! Daisy always looked happy and having a wonderful time! Most of the time, when I send Daisy somewhere, I feel sad knowing she’ll spend the majority of the time in a crate, but this was the complete opposite! Daisy basically got a vacation while we were gone. Haha. Thank you, Hillary! We really appreciate you!”

“Very friendly , great communication and sent photos and video. We’re flexible for drop off and pick up times changing . Perfect home for any sized dog with a clean yard and their pets are friendly ! Would highly recommend! this was my first tome leaving my Saint Bernard with a sitter ?”

“Jessica did an excellent job caring for my dog Rupi. She took Rupi on long walks every day and sent pictures/updates regularly. I would highly recommend Jessica.”

“Our dog thoroughly enjoyed Wendy! She has the perfect doggy hotel including a large fenced in yard. Wendy sent updates and pictures. We will definitely use her again.”

“Casey was able to care for our dog when we made a last minute request. Saved our vacation! She had plenty of room for our dog to roam and clearly made him comfortable, as he was giving her high fives by the end of his stay :)”

“This was our first time using the Rover app, so I was definitely nervous about leaving our dog for 11 days. The moment we dropped Cash off and started talking with Emily, all of my nerves disappeared! Her warmth, kindness, and genuine love for dogs immediately put us at ease! Cash had the best time! He came home happy, relaxed, and it was obvious he had been well cared for and loved. Emily kept us updated throughout our trip and sent us the sweetest pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. If you’re looking for someone you can truly trust with your fur baby, I can’t recommend Emily enough! Emily is Cash’s forever sitter, and we’ll be booking with her every time!! ❤️”

“Jasmine was awesome with my doggie babies!! My Wally was very anxious and she done very well with him! I would recommend her to anyone! She sent me updates and pics every day!!! Loved her! My babies looked happy!”

“Marketa and her family were so sweet to Snickers and treated him wonderfully. He came home happy and healthy! I loved all the pictures and updates sent throughout the week. Definitely will use again in the future!”

“Very highly recommended! Chantal and her husband were great caretakers for our two dogs for a week’s time — even more than we could have expected. They have a beautiful, spacious, safe place — both indoors and for when they had to go outside. My husband and I felt 100% comfortable leaving them there while we were away. From the beginning during our meet-and-greet through pick-up at the end of our trip, we saw just how kind and calm they were, treating our dogs just like their own dog and providing lots of interaction and play. Also, Chantal was extremely accommodating of our 7 month old puppy’s “puppy behavior” and attentive to the need to go outside more frequently. She provided updates every day (and was very responsive to other questions) and we could see just how relaxed our pups were, as if they were staying with family. We are definitely planning on using Chantal’s services the next time we need to go out of town.”

“Dana has been truly wonderful to me and my dog. She is very responsive, and a life saver.. Especially when I needed her services at such a short time notice. My dog can be pretty energetic at times, but Dana IS the "Dog Whisperer" lol. I will definitely use her services again in the near future!”

“Caroline and Spencer are the best! We will always use them whenever we go out of town! They took such great care of our girl Xena! Their home is amazing and dog friendly! We are so thankful for having them be our rovers! ??”

Experience with farm animals such as chickens, ducks, horses, and bunnies. I am reliable and always make sure animals are being taken care of and getting lots of love. About: I have cared for my family's pets my entire life. I worked in the pet care dept. at the Lynchburg Humane Society for about a year until it got in the way of school. “Layman was a lifesaver when we needed a last minute dog sitter to attend our son’s graduation. She was flexible with the timing of our return as we knew traffic could be bad getting back. Our Bella seemed comfortable with Layna and got along with her dog Chance.”

“At first I thought Remi was mad at us for leaving him. It soon was clear to see he had a full day of fun and was pooped. Hillary had full command of him and her dog Joshua and sent us pics through the day playing and resting. I had full confidence and could see that she and her family were loving animal people. She came through on short notice and on Christmas! We recommend her whole heartedly. We will happily be using her again in the future.”

About: I have always had a dog since I was a baby. I love all animals! Friends and family have always asked me to dog sit while away on vacation. I currently work full time from home so I can watch them during the week day in my home and let out for potty breaks often! I can go to your home on weekends anytime and during the week after 4 pm. I have 2 very friendly dogs who love fur friends! And we have one girl who only loves her fur siblings but she keeps to herself and I will keep her separated from your animal. I have 42 acres to take your dog on long walks and play in our field. I will leash walk your dog at my house. We do let our dogs sleep in our bed so if your fur baby is used to that they are more then welcomed to sleep in our bed. If not we have an extra crate for night time.
“We left Sarge with Wendy for three days and he had a blast. He became buddies with one of her other clients and they went for walks together, played in the yard together and played with toys together. Once again he came home exhausted and that is a sure sign that he had a great time.”

“Dana was wonderfully kind and welcoming to our Rocky. Dana’s dog Joby was a great playmate as we was greeted at the door by the two of them together when we returned. Dana had everything including a great personality. Thank you Dana! We will definitely be back if we are in the area again.”

“Absolutely wonderful from the very first day. My little man can't wait to go to daycare every day! Chantal has a caring and and loving manner with dogs of all ages. HIGHLY recommend!”

About: I've grown up with dogs and have years of pet sitting experience in both my home and clients' homes. I also have 2 of my own who are part of my everyday life...spoiled, loved and always by my side. Caring for dogs comes naturally to me. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or playtime, I make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and never alone. I enjoy getting down on their level, playing, and making walks something they truly look forward to. I have a flexible schedule and can spend extended time with your pet if needed. If you'd like someone to stay during the day while you're at work, I'm happy to bring my laptop and keep your dog company, offering attention, breaks, and playtime throughout the day. If you're looking for someone dependable who will treat your dog like family, I'd love to help. I have a flexible, remote work schedule, which allows me to give your pet plenty of attention: * Monday-Thursday: Available early mornings until 11am, and again from 3:30pm into the evening. *Friday & Saturday: Open availability * Sunday: Available starting at 11am through the evening Because I work remotely, I'm also happy to stay longer during the day if your pet needs extra company. I can bring my laptop and be there beyond a standard drop-in. I love getting outside for longer walks (3-4 miles) but I'm just as happy to do shorter walks to help your pup burn off some energy. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priority. During walks, I keep dogs securely leashed at all times. Before our first visit, I like to learn about any triggers, behaviors, or how they do with other dogs so I can tailor care to keep them calm and comfortable. I also check with you before giving treats and make sure I'm aware of any allergies or dietary restrictions. Most visits will take place in your home for your pet's comfort. However, if you ever prefer occasional care at my home, I have a fenced-in backyard and a Jeep for safe transport. You can always feel confident knowing your pet will be cared for with consistency, attention, and genuine love every time I'm with them.

About: I have been taking care of dogs my whole life, and even spend time taking care of others homes and dogs as well. I love to get outside and have no problem running around with animals and caring and loving for them when you are not able to do it. I truly love animals and have such compassion for them that I love to take care of them. I would love to talk to you more about your dogs needs, I hope that we are a perfect match and I will be able to help you take care of your animals! My schedule is extremely flexible and I am home most of the time as I work from home part time. I do work outside the home occasionally but can match my schedule to your needs! I like to care for pets just as you would. Please share their quirky traits, habits, etc. I want your pet to be as comfortable as possible with me!
“Posey and I both had firsts today but I’m sure it won’t be her last with Emily. I appreciate the care and engagement she gave my pup. Also having some bonding time with a new fur friend was great for Posey.”

“Marketa and Jay took such good care of our little girl Luna this week! Marketa was really great about sending updates throughout the day. Luna and her dog Roscoe got along great, and I love that there is a large fully fenced outdoor space for her to run around in and get her energy out. I highly recommend Marketa if you're looking for a responsible and caring sitter for your pup!”

About: I grew up in the country taking care of dogs, horses, cows, a pig, a lamb, bunnies and probably more that I can't think of! After years of service in the military where having a dog is difficult so I didn't have one, I finally got a corgi last year. His name is Gnocchi he's over a year old. I also got Luna, she's an Austrailian Shepard puppy and she is 6 months old. I recently had a 6 foot fence installed so my dogs can run free! They love other dogs to play with. I am comfortable with senior dogs, puppies and dogs who might need medication as well. I'm currently not working but I am looking for a remote position so being home while my kids are at school is my normal routine! I have a 6 ft fenced yard with an undercover area that is also fenced. I plan on getting some dog houses for that undercover area so they have a warm place to snuggle or they can come inside as well when it gets really cold or really hot!
“Crystal did a great job caring for our two dogs Max and Cody. She and her family obviously loved dogs and our two took to her immediately. Her place was great and the dogs were able to spend time outdoors. She gave us a worry free day. Highly recommended.”

About: Animals have always been a central part of my life. As a pet owner myself, I understand that our pets are family members, not just animals. My personal dogs receive the same love, attention, and care that I would want for any pet entrusted to me. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have more than 15 years of hands-on experience with dogs and cats, including owning and operating a nonprofit animal rescue for five years. Through my rescue work, I cared for hundreds of dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including puppies, seniors, special-needs pets, and dogs recovering from illness or surgery. I am experienced with administering medications, monitoring health concerns, and recognizing when a pet may need extra attention or veterinary care. I know that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their family is away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I will care for them as if they were my own. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive care and accommodate a variety of pet care needs. Because I spend a significant amount of time at home, your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, exercise, and potty breaks throughout the day. I understand the importance of maintaining routines and will work with you to ensure your pet’s schedule, feeding times, medications, and preferences are followed closely. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a quieter environment, I can provide the level of care and attention they need. Safety is always my top priority. My experience running an animal rescue taught me how to properly introduce dogs, recognize signs of stress, manage different personalities, and provide a safe environment for pets with varying needs. I have a securely fenced yard and closely supervise outdoor time. I can also accommodate medications, special feeding instructions, crate training, and senior pet care.
“I was desperate to get a dog sitter when we were in town visiting with our daughter and Casey came through for us! The doggies loved her and she wore them out. :) highly recommend!”

“Jennifer was great with our 4.5 month old puppy. She took him outside enough that there were no accidents. Her dog and our puppy played endlessly. He slept great at night. This was his first time away. She was extremely flexible with our schedule. I highly recommend Jennifer!”

I suspect Jack had as much fun playing with Danielle's dogs as we did on our mini-getaway. We intend to use Danielle in the future as the need arises and we give her our highest recommendation. I don't always leave online reviews but my wife and I really like Danielle.”
