About: The house my parents moved into when I was only 4 weeks old was unfortunately a dumping ground for unwanted animals. Before I could even walk, I was cuddling with any animal that showed up at our door. This instilled a passion within me that I can finally turn into a profession. From Rescue and fostering to training dogs and showing horses, animals have always been a huge part of my life. In addition to my Management degree, I have an Associate of Science Degree with a major in Animal Science and a specialization in Agriculture. I completed an AKC handlers’ course which focused on reading your dog’s body language to understand their needs. Being so heavily involved in rescue, I have history and experience in dealing with reactive and/or selective dogs. I have many safety features depending on the animals needs including crates, double hung baby gates and 6 ft chain link fence that is separated into two yards. I use the "crate and rotate" regimen as needed and for feeding. I also have baby gates at every doorway. My entire backyard is a 6 ft chain length fence and I have it separated into two secured areas for exercise. “Amanda was great with our dog while we were away for over a week. Her dogs got along with mine and they even shared toys. She also has a large fenced in yard for him to run around. She sent lots of pictures and updates and did a great job communicating with us along with being very punctual and reliable throughout the stay and during drop off and pickup times. Would definitely recommend to others!”
