“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. “Leaving our dog with Kristen was the best boarding experience she'd ever had! We don't often take a vacation without our dog, but the handful of times we had in the past, she was traumatized when I picked her up. She isn't crate trained and hates the little kennels at the vet and other commercial boarding facilities. Kristen's farm was like a vacation for her while we were on vacation! She loved the big open yards, having the run of the house, and being around the other dogs. Kristen is a warm, caring, responsible animal lover. It was like our old girl went to stay with a favorite aunt for a week! When I picked her up, she was dirty and tired and happy. ? Such a wonderful experience! We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. About: My wife & I grew up with pets all kinds and recently we adopted a dog from a rescue and that spark has been reignited of what we've been missing. We have thought long and hard and prayed about doing this. We have a 11 year old son that loves to walk the animals and give them exercise and plenty of opportunities to do their business. Dog walking and pet care is more then simply providing the basics, I appreciate the trust that owners give when having someone provide care for there beloved animals. Respect, genuine love, trust and a building relationship goes into each pet a care for. Pet care is full time for me, and I am available weekly and in the weekends. My schedule is generally flexible and I can usually accommodate even last min requests. However I do occasionally have a fully scheduled week and any house sitting or dog sitting requests would be easier to schedule with a couple weeks notice. I do not currently have a fenced in yard, but I provide walks and potty breaks by walking on a leash as needed. I never use any force on any dog. I believe in positive reinforcement when training any dog as I have trained all of my personal dogs this way. At my house our dogs days are filled with love, compassion, lots of positive rewards and mental and physical exercise. One of my dogs-Luna-is a certified therapy dog. Her love for people comes through with each interaction. It took a lot of time, training, patience to get her to this level. They say you should do what you love and it will never feel like work. I adore dogs and feel at ease when surrounded with them so it makes perfect sense to incorporate dogs into my everyday life. I know how stressful it is to leave your beloved dog with a stranger. I know I would be very apprehensive but once you see how I interact with your pup, you will know I am sincere and I hope you will see my passion for dogs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions/concerns. I am available every day of the week except Thursdays. I am free to come over as early as you need me to come and as late as you need me. I will follow your routine-I do not try to do anything that will add stress to your pet. I will advise you when I am arriving, I will update you with photos and am open to video calls if you would like to see how your pet is doing. I love to update clients so they can see how well their pet is adapting and is being loved.

“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. I can hands down say this was one of our best Rover experiences ever!! Joel and Janelle have a beautiful place with a large grassy fenced yard! They sent periodic incredible “action” pictures and our Goldens did not seemed stressed at all when we picked them up. We are looking forward to our stay with them early next month.”
“Leaving our dog with Kristen was the best boarding experience she'd ever had! We don't often take a vacation without our dog, but the handful of times we had in the past, she was traumatized when I picked her up. She isn't crate trained and hates the little kennels at the vet and other commercial boarding facilities. Kristen's farm was like a vacation for her while we were on vacation! She loved the big open yards, having the run of the house, and being around the other dogs. Kristen is a warm, caring, responsible animal lover. It was like our old girl went to stay with a favorite aunt for a week! When I picked her up, she was dirty and tired and happy. ? Such a wonderful experience!
