About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I helped my childhood dog with her liter and one of her puppies was my best friend until he crossed the rainbow bridge a year ago. I currently have a sweet loving 9 year old black lab and a fun 3 year old labradoodle. I’m a stay at home mom who homeschools as well and play outside a lot with my children and my dogs. Anything after 6 pm I won’t be able to do considering I will be doing bedtime. I have a fully fenced in lot that has 2 dog houses and grass that is also shaded. They will be let out, fed their breakfast, and exercised first thing in the morning. They will be let out or walked every 4 hours or less. About: I’ve been in a constant home of taking care of animals from a young age. I’ve trained over 6 dogs for basic training and have homed three cats. I’m versatile when it comes to new puppies as well as senior dogs. I’m a part time student so I’m mostly free in the evenings on weekdays and the weekends. For stop-bys and walks, I’m also free anytime before 9 am. In my own home I’ve got a lot of land for my own pets to roam within our land boundaries. Walking is a big part of giving pets time for exercise as well as calmer inside moments along with breakfast and dinner. “I wanted to take my dogs to Shannon last year, based on her profile alone. She has experience with senior dogs and dogs with disabilities. I can't remember if I didn't take the vacation or she just wasn't available for the dates I needed but, I didn't use her last year. This year, I needed a sitter for 3 nights as I was going out of town. She took care of my little beagle, Buddy and my golden doodle, Toby. I've had both of these dogs for less than 3 months. When I took them to visit her before the vacation, they took to her and her household immediately so I felt very secure leaving them 2 days later when I went on vacation. My niece also left her little Aussie dog with her as well. Shannon sent lots of pictures of the dogs and descriptions of their activities each day! She let us know if they weren't eating and she gave her input and thoughts as to why they were doing or not doing something unusual. She gave me and my niece both peace of mind and that's the number one thing we needed from a dog sitter. We could tell that she loved on our dogs just as if they were her children and we loved it. My dog was a rescue and can be easily intimidated, which makes her a little edgy, but she was given the space and love she needed, and seemed to thrive at their home. She sent photo updates and kept me in the loop the whole time, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the trip I was on. When I got back, my dog didn’t even seem like she was anywhere but home.
