“Falen was so responsive and very careful to read everything in Makka’s profile and to make sure it was the best match for her it could be. Dani was the person home, and she was so warm and friendly and knows a ton about dogs. Even though my baby had an atypical reactive moment when she first met her puppy playmate, Dani wasn’t phased at all, and coached me on how to proceed. “That’s very normal,” she said, and within 30 seconds - 1 minute, Makkachin realized she had a friend and was her usual friendly, playful self! The had a BLAST running around their expansive backyard with her nee puppy friend, and Dani was very attentive. When I came to pick Makka up, Dani brought her right to the door, leashed up and bag packed. She said Makka did a great job and welcomed us back any time. We’ll definitely use them again soon!”

While I will happily accept ALL dogs under 30lbs, I specialize in elderly pets/special needs pets who don't do well in boarding situations and need extra care throughout the day. I'm well-versed in administering oral medication, injections, and even subcutaneous fluids as needed. I am available 24hrs a day for potty breaks and medication routines. I am currently the only sitter in the western area of VA that is certified through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council, a 3rd party certification. This means they do not offer any classes or teaching, but only offer the test, which costs around $400. I am also a member of the International Boarding & Pet Services Association and the International Association of Canine Professionals. I carry Pet Sitting Insurance as well. When we aren't hanging out in that room, our house has hardwood floors with many rugs to keep paws stable, and tons of dog beds(of all sizes) scattered around for comfort. For potty times, I have a spacious fenced-in yard with plenty of shade! Meal times are at your pet's schedule! I make sure to follow any feeding and medication schedules you provide. My husband works from home, so if I am delayed due to traffic from an errand or such, he can let the pups out to potty or give time-sensitive medications/feedings. Pups are crated or placed in a separate room for Meal times and during Potty rotations to ensure no one gets too rowdy and no one becomes aggressive over their food. From housetraining puppies to caring for aging senior dogs, I have experience with a range of personalities/quirks and am very comfortable with large or hyperactive dogs and rescues. My older Beagle, who I cared for for more than 13 years, had a seizure disorder and in the final months of her life, we administered IV sub-Q fluids to her every 2-3 days, so I have experience with caring for pups with medical needs and I can administer medication. About: I have 1 of my own dogs who lives with me. But I also have experience with a total of 4 dogs as my parents have 3. All are Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I am comfortable with all medium and small size dogs. I do request that they are house trained. I like to take dogs on walks but if they are smaller it is okay if they are not perfect at walking on a leash. I can even help work with them on that. I currently work a normal day job during the week. But I work remote, that means that the dogs would not be alone at all during the day. They would have someone to care for them, take them out and feed them if necessary. Every day it is not raining, I do go on a 1 mile walk with my dog on my lunch so that they get good exercise. HOUSE SITTING: I can work remote from your house providing care all day. However, my dog Charlie would also have to come with me. If this is something that you do not feel comfortable with, I can offer drop in help instead. I have 1 of my own dogs (Charlie) who lives with me full time. My apartment is fully equipped for a dog to be here safely. I have a balcony where the dogs can spend time enjoying the fresh air. My dog gets along with all other dogs and is very friendly as he used to go to daycare with many other dogs. I have the ability to walk the dogs, get them fresh air and exercise. I also have dog toys and bones available for them to use. Dogs are allowed in all areas of my place. Including the couch, dog beds and human beds. Allowing them to be where they feel the most comfortable.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for over 3 years now. I can do various things including walking and bathing almost any dog. Taking care of dogs is my job and I love it! My work schedule is pretty flexible so I am able to do walks/drop ins pretty frequently throughout any day of the week. My best times would be before 12 and after 7 but I can typically do times in between as well with enough notice I would care for your pet in any way necessary by following any instructions you can give me. My love for critters is endless. I am a teacher, so teachers do not work in the summer. However, I do work teaching summer school and a camp in June. I can work evenings and remain overnight. I have the entire month of July off. My children are grown, so my schedule is flexible. I can provide references. I live in a secluded area, so when I am home, they have free range. My dogs are leash trained. During the day when I am home, they remain in a crate. I live six minutes from work, so they arent in their crates all day. My oldest daughter lives with me, so when I am away, they are taken care of.
About: I have been taking care of dogs for a long time. I have taken care of puppies. I have taken care of senior dogs before. I am very reliable and you can count on me. I am happy to help. I am very flexible when it come to fitting things into my weekly routine. I work one part time job. I only work on Tuesday nights. Other then that I am very flexible. I care for my pet at home very well. We have an electric fence. My dog wears a collar and I have taught him very well.

My dog was a rescue and can be easily intimidated, which makes her a little edgy, but she was given the space and love she needed, and seemed to thrive at their home.
