My home has a fully enclosed 6-foot vinyl privacy fence, giving our guests a secure outdoor space for supervised potty breaks, fresh air, exercise, and playtime. I also keep fresh, clean water bowls available outside during playtime and outdoor time, so our pups always have easy access to water and can stay hydrated, especially during warmer days. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions regarding feeding, medications, supplements, potty routines, sleeping arrangements, and any special needs or restrictions. I supervise interactions and take the time to understand each dog’s personality, behavior, and comfort level. Dogs are separated when needed for meals, rest, safety, or simply when they need their own personal space. I pay close attention to changes in appetite, energy, bathroom habits, or behavior and communicate with pet parents if I notice anything concerning. With over years of boarding experience, I understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your dog. About: I have had my own dogs since my early 20’s, and I’d probably have about ten more if I could. Everyone in our family has dogs, ranging from tiny Yorkipoos to big ol’ lab mixes, and I love them all! I currently have one rescue pup, Russell, who is 19 different breeds! I am patient, I don’t get grossed out easily, and I will love your pup like it’s a member of the family. My husband and I are both teachers, so we are home full-time during the summer with our two teenage kids. During the school year we work, but I’m usually home by 3:30. Our 13-year old daughter is interested in pursuing a career working with animals, so she will be assisting in the care of your pet. We have a large fenced yard and a dog-friendly house. We even have a doggie door for pups to come and go outside to the back yard as they need or want to. We have one 5-year old dog who gets along great with other pups. Usually when we dog sit, we have the visiting pup have a home base in our daughter’s room where they can be fed separately, have peace and quiet, and enjoy the best air conditioning in the house! We are a dogs on furniture house, and she even loves to let the dogs we are sitting sleep in her bed with her if they want. Your dog should expect many pets and snuggles at our house! I am currently transitioning from a 13 year Nanny position into my dream job of caring for animals full time. Offering pet care services in your home, I follow the typical routine you and your pets have already established. They will keep their routine and not go through any traumatic transitions. The best part? Your fur baby is there when you get home. Your home will also have that "lived in" look. Mail will be picked up, plants watered, lights will be switched on and off, trash rolled to the curb, and any house issues that arise can be addressed. Especially for overnight or vacation services, I would love the chance to meet you and your pet(s) in your home ahead of time. I always encourage new clients to schedule a (free) 30-minute meet-and-greet before the first booking (either at your home or a public location) so that I can meet your pet(s). If I am doing a sitting or drop-in, then these are perfect for showing me where the food supplies are as well as bowls, litter box(es), and anything else that may be needed for the booking I send daily updates while you are away so your vacation is worry free. I will follow all duties assigned to me to care for your pet. I work on the Goochland County Public Schools calendar from 745-315 Monday - Friday unless other wise stated on the calendar. I would be available all day on the days school is closed. I will provide feedings, potty breaks, walks, inside/outside activities as needed/wanted per your request. I enjoy cuddling and petting with pets, if that is what they enjoy.

I've been caring for dogs my entire life and currently share my home with four dogs of my own — a 9lb Chihuahua, a 9lb Yorkie-Chi mix, a 50lb Lab mix, and a 75lb Red Retriever — plus a cat and some fish. I follow your instructions exactly — feeding schedules, medications, special routines, off-limit areas — nothing is too detailed. About: Former teacher now at home all day! I have two little ones that attend preschool in the mornings, so afternoon and morning walks are great! I’ve had dogs & cats all my life. I currently have two dogs - a lab and golden and a huge fenced in yard. I currently am at home all day! So free majority of the time and my days are very flexible if need be! About: I’ve had animals in my house since I was born! I’ve had dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve even had fish, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, and ferrets. Needless to say, I truly love animals so much (maybe even more than humans). I turn into a full on mom when any animal comes my way. I’ve had experience with taking care and training animals since I was 12. All in all, taking care of your lil ones while you’re away is not just a vacation for you, it’s a vacation for me as well. Expect to come home to healthy, relaxed, and happy lil guys and girls! I’m currently a part time student who is also working part time sooo I have a lot of free time on my hands! I’m available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I am currently only accepting boarding in the client’s home due to my own dog’s training. I will care for pets in my client’s home exactly as instructed by them. I will be able to stay with them all day, let them out every hour or so, feed them when scheduled, take them on walks, have play time, and cozy time as well.

I have two dogs of my own, a 12 year old Border Collie mix and a two year old Australian Shepherd, and I volunteer down at the Richmond Animal Shelter every week so I'm used to handling a variety of dogs! About: I have cared for/worked with 1,000s of dogs over 10+ years across all breeds, ages, and behavioral issues. I managed a dog facility for several years, have worked in multiple other dog facilities. I have taken K9 CPR/First Aid and very knowledgeable on K9 behavior and physical well being. I have trained 100s of dogs in my lifetime. Your dog could not be in better hands. :) I stay home full time so your pet would have 100% of my time and attention! I can be flexible to you and your pets needs! I have very friendly dogs to keep your pup company! If your dog isn’t much of a playful type - that’s okay too! My dogs do not harass and have great social manners. I have a crate I can offer at your request and I am very experienced with dog safety and K9 cpr. When going on walks I ALWAYS check the dogs collar and leash before leaving the house to be sure everything is appropriately secure. I always make sure I watch any dogs before I open doors to be sure no one runs out! My experience with K9 behavior allows me to catch a bad thing before it happens!

About: Hi we are Don and Bobbi! We both have grown up around dogs our entire lives and have always been passionate about caring for animals. Between our families, we’ve had many dogs and cats over the years, giving us experience with pets of different ages, sizes, and personalities.
