“Jax was well taken care of. I almost thought he wasn’t going to want to come home he was having so much fun. I will definitely use them again in the future!”

“Matt and Lucky were so great with Dean! He’s a high anxiety dog and it makes me so nervous to leave him with anyone new. They reassured me everyday with updates and lots of pictures. If I ever need to board him again Matt and Lucky will be my first pick!”
“First time leaving our boy with Christine and Nick and we couldn't be more pleased with their services. Highly recommend this family. Tunde was well cared for during his stay. We received daily updates/pictures of him playing with their pups, going on walks, and being loved on by the family. The peace of mind that you receive when your fur baby is cared for so well is priceless.”

“Love these guy! But most importantly Lucy loves them which allows me to travel comfortably knowing that she is in great hands. Don’t hesitate to book with them!”

“Adam is a natural, per Cooper. We knew the moment we met him that Cooper was in good hands. Cooper took to him immediately and made himself at home. We got him back last night and Cooper was calm and happy. Thanks Adam!!!”

“Sabrina and her family are fabulous. Both of my dogs enjoyed their stay. When I went to pick them up, both of my dogs were excited to see me, and the one went right back up to their porch! I'd say he loved it!”

“This couple is amazing! I am a first time user of Rover and couldn’t be happier. They sent multiple pictures and videos throughout the weekend. My dog did so well there with their dog and cats. They truly cared for my dog and showed her love. I will definitely be using them again.”

“Marvin was an amazing sitter for Kuna! He kept me consistently updated with messages and photos, which really gave me peace of mind while I was away. Kuna was well cared for and happy, and it was clear he was comfortable the entire time. I truly appreciated the communication and attention Marvin provided. I would absolutely book with him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Leidy agreed to watch our German shepherd with a short notice and did an incredible job! Send frequent updates and pictures which we love! Very grateful he was in such good hands while we had to leave town!”

“Very professional and practical. The communication was punctual and timely. I was very pleased to see our dog having such a lovely time during my time away. Highly recommend Anita for your Rover needs.”

“We left our doggie with Ari while traveling for two weeks and we couldn't have asked for anyone better to look after him. Our special boy is a senior Schnoodle that we rescued last year from a breeder situation gone really bad. Ari and her family welcomed him with open arms and treated him like he was one of the family. She sent daily updates and we thought our boy may not want to come home after seeing how much fun he was having in the photos. Also, he made a new best friend with the family dog Apollo. I would recommend Ari to anyone that is looking for a home-away-from home for their fur babies.”

“By far the best rover experience so far. Not only did Christina and her family take our dog, Truffle, last minute but they treated him like their own. With a big fenced in backyard and numerous walks around the neighborhood, Truffle had a blast. She sent consistent communications on how Truffle was doing as well as making sure her kiddos respected and knew how to handle a bigger dog. Above and beyond, would easily recommend Christina!”
“Madelyn took excellent care of my dog Link and provided me with consistent updates so that I knew he was in good hands. I chose her to board him while I was away for the holidays, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking to do the same. I could tell he was treated as if she was his own. Thank you!”

About: Hi, I’m Johnnie! With over a decade of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, I provide a calm, reliable, and personalized environment for every pup. Whether your dog loves high‑energy play or prefers a quiet place to relax, I tailor my care to fit their unique needs. I offer companionship, feeding, walking, grooming, and bathing, along with a fully fenced yard for safe, supervised play. Crate training or crating is available upon request. Your dog’s comfort, routine, and happiness always come first. Pet care is naturally woven into my daily and weekly routine. I structure my day around feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs each dog may have. Because I work from home and keep a flexible schedule, I’m able to provide consistent attention, regular potty breaks, and plenty of supervised outdoor time in my fenced yard. Whether it’s morning walks, midday play sessions, or evening wind‑downs, I make sure every dog gets the right balance of exercise, enrichment, and relaxation. Caring for pets isn’t something I “fit in”—it’s a core part of my everyday life. How I Care for Pets in My Home In my home, dogs enjoy a safe, structured, and loving environment. I provide consistent routines for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. My fully fenced yard allows for supervised outdoor play, and I tailor activities based on each dog’s energy level—whether that’s high‑energy fetch or calm relaxation. I maintain a clean, comfortable space and can accommodate crate training or crating upon request. Every dog gets personalized attention, enrichment, and plenty of affection. **How I Care for Pets in a Client’s Home** When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routines to keep pets comfortable and stress‑free. I stick to the owner’s feeding schedule, walking preferences, and any special instructions. I make sure the home stays tidy, provide updates with photos, and give each pet the same level of care and attention they’re used to. My goal is to make their time away from their family feel as normal and reassuring as possible.
About: I have experience caring for dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently have a three-month-old Golden Retriever puppy named Archie, so I’m very familiar with puppy routines, training, potty breaks, and high-energy playtime. I also raised two of my mom's Pomeranians, Flynn and Pepper, from puppyhood and lived with and cared for them daily for years. Because of that, I’m very comfortable with both small and large breeds, as well as the patience, consistency, and attention that dogs need to feel safe and comfortable. Caring for animals fits very naturally into my daily routine because I genuinely love spending time with pets and making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved! I’m currently working toward my teaching license this summer, which gives me a flexible schedule and lots of availability for walks, drop-ins, playtime, cuddles, and keeping pets company throughout the day. I can handle nearly any issue that concerns dogs, whether that be giving medicine to your pup or cleaning up vomit, I can do it all! I also have no issue training new puppies for certain tasks, so feel free to ask me.

“Sabrina is very communicative about my baby and Jenny has a fantastic time at her house. I love seeing the pictures of Jenny and her son playing together as well as her little pup. She’s a godsend. I highly recommend Sabrina.”

“Kayce was amazing! Our request was very last minute but she was very accommodating and flexible. Bree took to her home very quickly. We were able to enjoy our day with no stress knowing Bree was in good hands. Kayce communicated often and we never had to ask or pry for an update. We will absolutely reach out to Kayce if we are in the area again and 100% recommend her services to everyone! This was our first time using Rover and we were lucky enough to have such a positive experience that we will definitely be using it again.??”

“Christine and Nick are absolutely incredible with our German Shepherd, Aurora. This was her first time staying away from home and socializing with other dogs, and they made her feel completely safe, loved, and part of the family. They followed her routine, handled her quirks with confidence and compassion, and kept us updated the entire time. Aurora always comes home exhausted, happy, and clearly well cared for. We’re so grateful to have found such trustworthy and experienced sitters— Highly recommend!”

“Alison took amazing care of my French Bulldog, J3, while I was at work. J3 can be a little particular—he loves attention, has specific routines, and can be sensitive to heat—but Alison followed all instructions perfectly and made sure he was comfortable, happy, and safe. I received regular updates, including photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind knowing he was in good hands. It’s not easy to find someone who treats your pet like family, but Alison truly did. Thank you again for being so reliable, loving, and attentive with J3. About: Hi my names Amadi. Thanks for taking a second to check out my profile! I have a little over 15 years of experience in training dogs, helping with socialization skills, and general caretaking. Currently I work from home, a light schedule as I’m testing to obtain another specialty license. In my daily life I used to foster dogs for a rescue. Most of my fosters came from very rough beginnings and had many social and/or anxiety issues but we have been able to overcome them💙 With that being said I totally understand how some dogs are unsure of new people and I’m 100% willing to take the time needed to get to know your fur baby. I do currently have an iguana in his own enclosure and I have extensive reptile knowledge and I’m willing to assist with those as well. I currently have a light schedule that I work from home, so I am available for a lot of pet care needs. I do frequent bathroom visits play, and meal time. I am 100% about safety first. I will not accept any new dogs that will put anyone else in jeopardy. Although I have experience in housing a large number of dogs from my time fostering out in Goochland, and my time working in a doggy daycare, I do not wish to take on a large number of dogs at any one time.
About: I grew up with many dogs of all sizes and personalities — from calm seniors to hyper puppies — and we also fostered animals growing up. Before having children, I worked at a doggy daycare, where I learned to care for multiple pets at once. Currently, my husband and I board for family and friends, and we’re excited to expand our care to more pets because we truly love animals! I am a stay-at-home wife, so your pets will have someone at home with them throughout the day giving attention, cuddles, and care. My husband works outside of the home, but he’s happy to help and loves animals too! We have three kids (infant to 8 years old) who absolutely adore animals, and we welcome both dogs and cats of all personalities. While our 2.5-acre yard isn’t fenced, we have a dog trolley system that allows pets to safely explore and enjoy the outdoors while leashed. We also love walks, playtime, and games of fetch for dogs who enjoy daily exercise. With us, your furry family members will receive lots of love, attention, and supervision throughout the day! I’m a stay-at-home mom, so she’s available to care for pets throughout the day. My husband is home outside of my work schedule, so together we can provide attention, supervision, and love for your dog or cat almost all day. Safety: Your pet’s safety is our top priority. While our 2.5-acre yard isn’t fully fenced, we use a dog trolley system that allows pets to safely roam and explore while remaining leashed. Inside the home, pets are supervised at all times. Trust: We treat every pet like family, providing attentive care, consistent routines, and regular updates so you can feel confident while you’re away. Environment: Our home is loving, calm, and kid-friendly, with plenty of space for pets to play, rest, and feel comfortable. We welcome dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities.
“Morgan was great with Buddy. She took wonderful care of him. He is a large dog with a great heart. She was able to take him on last minute and really saved the day. I wouldn’t hesitate a minute letting her take care of Buddy again. Thank You so much”

About: Lifelong Pet Lover with Years of Experience Hi, I’ve been around pets my entire life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. I started walking and feeding my family dogs at just 7 years old, twice a day, making sure they had plenty of playtime and fresh air in our grassy yard. From playful puppies to gentle giants, I’ve handled dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I’m confident with potty training and establishing healthy routines for any breed. Since I was 15, I’ve also cared for cats, both my family’s and my friends’. I keep litter boxes clean and ensure they stay off surfaces where they might break or damage anything, all while making sure they feel safe and cared for. Whether it’s a long walk, a cozy cuddle, or responsible in-home care, I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’d love the chance to care for your furry friend. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time throughout the week to give your pet the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it’s a morning walk, midday drop-in, or overnight stay, I’m available and committed to working around your needs. Your pet will never feel rushed or overlooked, they’ll have my full attention and care. Comfortable, Spacious, and Pet-Friendly Home Your pet will feel right at home here. I have a large backyard and a spacious home with plenty of room for dogs to play, explore, and relax. While the yard is not fenced, I always supervise outdoor time to ensure pets stay safe and secure. If you use training tools like an e-collar and provide them, I’m happy to use them responsibly and only according to your guidance. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, just like family.
“They are so caring and patient. My dog can be shy around unknown people and environments and they took the extra mile to let her ease in and get comfortable. Loved receiving all the pictures and videos of her stay. Can't wait for our next visit! Thank you so much for your care.”

“Sophia was wonderful. I was in town for a week for work and needed someone to walk my dog during the days. She met us at the hotel the evening that we checked in to give my pup a chance to get used to her. She came each day, was very responsive, took great care of the dog, and sent plenty of updates about each walk.”

About: Growing up my family always had at least one or more pets of various breeds so I have 20+ years of experience around animals. I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, lizards, rabbits, goats, and hedgehogs. Personally, my husband & I have 2 dogs currently, 9 & 10 years old, one having epilepsy & is dependent on medication. I have helped raise/care for/train puppies, kittens, baby rabbits, & baby goats. The only pet I'm not comfortable with is snakes, my little sister has one but I only look at it from 3ft away in its enclosure, haha. I work part time Tu/W/Th 8A - 5P, I do not mind caring for pets those days, however I will be gone all day. Otherwise, I'm available for your pets needs! My personal routine with my pets: My husband helps me care for our pets daily but his schedule is a bit different than mine, so our dogs are let out at least within 4-6 hours those days. Otherwise, we let them out every 2-4 depending on their needs (which they have been trained to lets us know if they need to go sooner). Our medical dog is on a 12 hr medication schedule. I'd prefer to care in my clients home due to one of my dogs having a reactive past, it was quite a transition when we inherited our other dog. If you have a specific routine, I'm ready to follow it to the T! I'm comfortable walking dogs on leash, hanging out/playing with them in a fenced yard, or just chilling inside. As mentioned, I have experience with medically dependent pets. I have an escape artist, so I'm always vigilant of their proximity to me and prepared to run/chase in the event something happens. I can stay at the home with the pets or I can visit throughout the day!

About: I’ve taken care of family dogs my whole life and I have over a 2 years experience in a dog kennel so I am very familiar with any breeds/issues you could think of. I have experience in basic care, feeding, bath/nails. Currently I’m working with animals full-time so luckily I have a pretty open schedule for any fun ! I also have a pup of my own if yours is ever looking for a play date. For each individual dog I will meet their own personal needs because every dog is different. I really just conform to the dog’s personality and what would make the best experience for them.
“Emma was punctual was super friendly and patient with Jax who decided that he did not want to walk lol! She was also flexible and accommodating to make the best of the visit. I will definitely book services again.”

About: I have over 5 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs in structured, multi-dog environments, including high-energy and working breeds. I currently manage a multi-dog household and am actively involved in dog sports and conformation, which has given me a strong understanding of routine, behavior, conditioning, and proper handling. I am comfortable working with: • High-energy and active breeds • Puppies needing structure and consistency • Senior and special needs dogs • Multi-dog households • Dogs requiring medication My care style focuses on structure, safety, and clear communication. Dogs in my care receive consistent routines, appropriate exercise, and calm, confident handling—not just supervision. I am best suited for clients who value reliable, knowledgeable care and want their dogs maintained in a structured environment while they are away. Pet care is a consistent and structured part of my daily routine. I plan my schedule around the dogs in my care to ensure they receive timely walks, feeding, exercise, and attention. I maintain reliable availability for bookings while ensuring each dog receives focused, individualized care and a consistent routine. I prioritize safety, structure, and clear communication in every home I enter. I follow each dogs routine closely, including feeding schedules, medications, crate use, and exercise needs. Dogs are always handled securely on leash unless otherwise specified, and I am attentive to environment, behavior, and stress signals. My goal is to maintain a calm, consistent, and safe environment so your pet feels secure while you’re away.

“Alison is amazing! I was a little worried about how Louie would be once we left but she did a great job reassuring me he was ok! She didn’t skip a beat with her updates and plenty of pictures! I can tell he felt the love from her just as much as I could tell just by the pictures! I would definitely rebook if she’s available!”
