About: Hey y’all! I have taken care of pets, specifically dogs, for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Louisiana with 2 dachshunds in my family home. One of them had diabetes, so I am experienced with giving shots and oral medication. In addition to taking care of the weenie dogs, I had a pet hedgehog and chameleon in high school. I truly love animals of all kinds. I grew up walking and dog sitting for family friends and neighbors. In high school, I was an involved volunteer at my local humane society. When I was in college, I ended up rescuing a dog from that shelter. My parents took him in since I lived in a college dormitory. After I graduated college, I couldn’t wait to get my own dog! Here in Charlottesville, I have 1 dog now, Pretzel, who is a small lab mix. He is also a rescue, and is my world! I can’t wait to meet, walk, and watch your pets! I have a non-traditional work schedule that is unpredictable but also flexible. I go into work most week days, or sometimes work from home. My hours can vary, but I always make time to walk my dog Pretzel multiple times a day with trips to the dog park when I can. I am available on the weekends. In my home, Pretzel roams free. I do not kennel him, as he is potty trained. I want Pretzel to be able to roam around as he pleases. Pretzel sleeps with me every night.

About: Not only did I grow up with 2-3 dogs in the house, but my mom has worked for a dog rescue the last 10 years. My family has fostered more than 100 dogs ranging from newborn puppies to end of life care for senior dogs. I have helped with everything from feeding, cleaning, creating enrichment, and exercising dogs of all sizes and ages. I am currently taking time off of work before I move abroad for graduate school in September so am completely flexible! I will have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets health and happiness! About: I have been taking care of friends, family members animals for over 2 years now while attending college. I love giving care to their furry friends while they are away. Having animals myself I understand the need to have a trustworthy caretaker while away! I look forward to become your pets new friend! I currently work 30/32 hours a week usually during the early mornings or mid afternoons. I have usually offered early morning walks or evening walks to those in need! She has since gotten older so I have experience with a senior dog and giving any sorts of medication (and the peanut butter necessary to get her to take it). I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions you provide. In my home, your pet will also have the opportunity to socialize with my own friendly dog, who loves making new pup friends. “Heather was great and took such good care of my boy! I had to work very long hours and Heather very kindly worked with me to help the coordinate pick up/drop off best with my schedule. She sent frequent updates and pictures and I felt like she really cared about my boy while he was there. I would 100% recommend her to take care of your fur-baby!”
“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
