Boarders or daycare get 2-3 walks/day, dozens of photos, and lots of love of course! I provide toys, bowls, a dog bed, treats, poop bags and a backup leash. About: I have been a dog and cat owner/lover/advocate my whole life. I miss having my own pets so much so I pet sit during our travels and while we are home too! I’m a massage therapist and energy worker so animals LOVE my touch and calming presence. I’m very active and love long walks. I’m totally comfortable with large dogs. I have retired early so my schedule is very flexible. I am happy to travel to pet sits. I tend to do pet sitting in Florida during the months of January and February. I love having dogs and cats in my home. There is a little river behind my house and the national forest and Sherando Lake Recreation Area is just beyond the river so there’s lots of space for long walks. I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. I have an unfenced yard so any outside play will be leashed or in an enclosure. For additional safety, I keep a few dog crates on hand. They are available for pups that are crate trained, in case I need to separate, or even personal preference! Dogs are den animals so when used correctly, some of them (like ours!) love having a cozy space to relax. *Please note, I never use crates as “punishment” in our home, nor do I believe in or practice discipline of animals. You will receive a detailed note of all that occurs as well as multiple photos of your animal throughout my stay, unless otherwise specified by yourself.
About: I’ve had experience with helping with puppies and other ages of dogs. I personally have a cat of my own and I’ve had 4 years of experience with cats. I am currently working 35-40 hours a week and I am mostly free in the afternoons and evening. I am completely free on Sundays too! I follow the care instructions outlined by the owner and treat the pets with so much love. I can play with the pets as needed!
About: I love all animals! I don’t have any because of my housing rules so I want to take care of your fur babies to get my animal fix! I am extremely flexible and caring. I take instructions well and am a fast learner. I am very observant, I will care for your home and pet like it was my own. I am also skilled in American Sign Language, as I am hard of hearing, and can teach your pet to respond to signs. I am also quick to respond with text in case of emergencies. I especially love puppies and kittens and am willing to clean up any messes. I am flexible on long term stay rates if you go on several day vacations. Thank you!

She sent updates at all the right times during our trip when we needed them at times we were missing our fur family. About: I have had animals my whole life! I’m always happy to help friends and family. Life is better with fur babies! Happy to help. I am not working so I am available anytime. I can do drop ins, in home care or at my home. I have two miniature dachshunds that love to play and a beautiful neighborhood for walks. We have gates on our stairs to keep our dogs on one level. I have a crate if needed in my home to keep your dog safe.

“Alexandra and Logan were wonderful with my (sometimes overly) curious terrier, Eddie! I am always concerned about Eddie escaping to chase an animal, and they took my concerns seriously and took steps to ensure that wouldn't happen. Their fence setup was great too - the fenced-in yard wraps all the way around the house, so even if a dog slipped out of the house, they would still be in the yard. On top of that, they sent lots of pictures and were so kind to Eddie. He didn't want to leave!”
