“Pamela was a pleasure to book with. She is responsive when I reached out with questions, gave regular updates, and gave our pup extra love and playtime with other pup/kitty friends. Will definitely be booking again!”

“Lauren, impressively on short notice, took my pup in for boarding and was remarkable with his care! I highly encourage anyone seeking pet assistance to consider Lauren for services & I plan to seek her services the next time my pup needs boarding.”

“Jordan was amazing. In her profile she mentions last-minute options & that saved our last minute trip. I'm new to Rover & expected people's availability was accurate but over a dozen people provided bad info. She accepted hours before we dropped our dog with her. She was kind & brought my dog on errands & Starbucks for a pup cup.😂 Her location is super convenient driving from Arlington to 81 on 66. She has a few children that loved playing with Opal. She didn't introduce her dog with ours which is fine. Would definitely reach out again if we go that way.”

“Kalley is an amazing sitter. She took awesome pictures and updated me daily on how my baby was doing. Thank you so much Kalley. We’ll be booking with again soon!”

“First time visiting Northern VA, and we wanted to do some exploring in Washington DC for Memorial Day weekend. Nervous about having to leave our dogs in the hotel while we went out… we decided to give Rover a try and find a sitter! So glad we did! Upon meeting Katherine, I knew right away our two furbabies would be in the best of hands! We never once had a single worry while away! Perfect environment for our beagle and lab to explore and they enjoyed their other playmates too, because they are both wore out from their fun-filled weekend! If we are ever in this area again, we know who to call!! Thanks again!”

“Tamara was great with Toby! She sent pictures of him every day during his stay! I can tell he was cared for as well as he is at home, and that he enjoyed his time with her! I have already rebooked with Tamara for my next trip! Thanks Tamara! :)”
“Alexsys took great care of both of my dogs. She was very communicative through the week she had them. She was very accommodating and understanding to my dogs needs. I would highly recommend her!”

“It was a last minute booking, but Cindy and her family were wonderful with my puppy. She had a blast at her place with her Shitzu pup. Great communication, daily update, and very patient with my puppy. Definitely rebook in the future!”

“Erin and her family were absolutely amazing! Our dog Millie was so well cared for and genuinely loved during her stay. The communication was excellent throughout—we always felt confident that she was in great hands. We will definitely book with Erin again the next time we travel. Huge thanks to Erin and her family for taking such wonderful care of Millie!”

“Walter and his family are amazing! We are new pet owners and they let us come over for a meet and greet prior to booking to help calm our nerves. Our puppy was excited to be there with his caring children. He would give us updates with pictures and videos throughout her stay. When our flight was delayed and diverted to another airport, Walter was gracious enough to have her stay one more day. Thank you for taking such great care of our girl! We look forward to working with you and your beautiful family again soon!”

“Yzabella and her family took AMAZING care of Louie. She was so responsive and sent many photos and videos. I knew he was in great, caring hands. We will absolutely be using her services again very soon 😊”

“What an amazing experience! From the very beginning Kristen was so helpful! This was our very first experience using Rover, and also our first experience with leaving our precious Furbaby in someone else’s care! We drove all the way from Florida to visit Washington DC and unfortunately we were not able to bring Eleanor with us to the Smithsonian museums! Lol! So we were in need of someone to take care of her while we were sightseeing and I am so thankful that we found Kristen and her beautiful farm! We left Eleanor at the farm for three days, and it seems like she had a blast! Kristen was great with communicating even though I was a little neurotic about checking on Eleanor, she had no hesitation with reassuring me that Eleanor was in good hands, and well taken care of! I highly recommend her Kristen and her beautiful farm to anyone that needs their precious babies to be taken care of and loved just like they are when they at home!”

“Nova had another great stay with Dana! I loved that she continued to send lots of pictures and videos. She always ensures that Nova is comfortable and shows her so much love. Nova can’t wait to stay with her again!”

“This was Oliver's first time separated from us. Kenneling was not an option as Oliver is such a people pooch. I found Lori on Rover.com as a friend recommended the site. Lori sounded wonderful and was close by. Lori came by for a 'meet & greet' and hit it off with Oliver straightaway. We dropped Oliver off and left on our trip with great relief. While we were away Lori sent me a photo of Oliver in the backyard loving life. I highly recommend - your pooch will be in not just good, but caring hands.”

“I cannot thank Michelle and her family enough for watching Bella multiple times! Michelle is great with sending pictures, and keeping me updated as to how she is doing, Of course Bella loves to cuddle with the entire family as well. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!”

“This was our first experience with Rover and everything went smoothly. Anahita (and her husband) were lovely and responsive and sent a daily pup photo. I didn’t press for details, can only assume by her demeanor that our girl was comfortable and well tended. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Anahita again.”

About: Hi! I’m Hope, a lifelong dog lover and experienced pet sitter offering in home dog boarding in a calm, family setting. I’m a stay at home mom to my two year old, so your dog will have constant supervision, attention, and care throughout the day. Our home is peaceful, loving, and ideal for dogs who enjoy being part of a family environment. We’re lucky to have a beautiful setup for pups: a fenced front yard/garden for safe outdoor time, plus an acre of land and nearby dog friendly trails for walks, sniffing, and exploring. Whether your dog loves playtime or prefers a slower pace, I tailor care to their needs and routine. Because I have a young child, I do require that all dogs are comfortable around children. Your dog will be treated like one of our own with plenty of love, structure, and attention so they feel safe, relaxed, and at home while you’re away. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine since I’m a stay-at-home mom and home throughout the day. Your dog will be part of our everyday rhythm—morning outdoor time, walks, play, rest, and evening wind-down. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, attention, and care without long gaps. Throughout the week, I keep a steady routine while also adjusting to each dog’s needs, energy level, and schedule. My goal is to create a calm, predictable environment where your dog feels comfortable and cared for like part of the family. I send lots of updates and pictures and follow all care instructions carefully! I want you to feel comfortable with your pet in my care!
“Leslie was awesome! She had Trapper for day care and kept him busy playing ball which he LOVES, and took him for a walk. He really enjoyed running around her backyard which is perfect for the dogs to run and play! She sent a lot of pictures and videos to let us know what our boy was up to. We are already planning our next booking!”

“Pamela did an amazing job taking care of my cat for a week while I was out!! She was really attentive and left me great pictures. I felt very at-ease knowing she was there to watch over my cat! 💛”

“Zach did an excellent job checking in on and taking care of my two cats. He was very considerate, and even managed to interact with (from a distance) my very shy baby. Would definitely book with him again.”

“Charlotte was a perfect choice for home visits for our cat. She established a good relationship with my (often moody) cat beforehand and sent frequent updates and pictures. I could really feel better as I travelled because I knew my cat was taken care of. 1000% recommend and I will definitely book with Charlotte again.”

“Lauren was very caring, responsible and communicative. She is amazing and I 100% recommend her. I will try to book her all the time we need visits for our cat. Thanks Lauren!”

“Nothing but great things to say about Molly. She was on time, stayed the whole length of visit, was kind and generous to my boy and gave him lots of attention and play time. I received multiple photos and videos of him being a total goober with her. She made me feel reassured and secure in knowing that he was in very capable hands. 10/10, would recommend!”

“Our service from Christin was outstanding. Our timid kitty liked her almost immediately. Christin provided lots of notes and photos each day. She was on time and took care of everything beautifully. She even brushed him. I highly recommend her.”

About: I have extensive experience caring for cats of all ages, including kittens and newborns 🐾 I have assisted with cat births and cared for newborn kittens, including cases where the mother was unable to care for them. I understand cat behavior well, including independent, shy, or sensitive cats, and I always respect their space and personality. I am attentive, patient, and always make sure each cat feels safe, calm, and comfortable.
“Samantha took very good care of Max for a full week. I was very worried about leaving with a stranger for that long but Sam's composure and obvious love for the furies gave good assurance. She seems to be very experienced with this. Merci beaucoup Samantha!”

“I used Rover for the first time and chose Jordan because of experience based on her photos with bigger dogs. She booked a last minute with a 3 day commitment requiring 2 drop in visits per day. She communicated with me quick and well, sent photos etc. I was unsure about using Rover and thought I might need to call or text, but now fully confident in the service. I would book with Jordan again in the future and probably won't go back to boarding. Our dog seemed happy to stay at home, and not stress being away from us and at a kennel.”

There are many pets in my household ( one dog, 4 cats)). I thoroughly enjoy pet/home sitting and am grateful for your trust. I am flexible and can easily adjust my schedule accordingly. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and done training and dog walking in a shelter as a volunteer. I love getting dogs outside and letting them run around. I have been hiking with my dog for his entire life and was able to train him on the leash and off the leash to allow us to have the freedom to run free and the ability to get him on the leash and behave around other dogs and people on the road and on the trails. I have been dog sitting for the last 8 years and love spending time with all the pups. I can’t wait to take care of animals and give them the necessary play time and exercise when you’re not there to. I keep my schedule updated to where I am unavailable when I work to allow for your pets to get the utmost care. However I am willing to work with you around my work schedule! I have experience with reactive dogs and I will keep your dog safe and on a leash unless in a fenced in yard. I prefer staying at the dogs home to help them stay comfortable

“Katie was very good with our cat Tinker. Tinker loved her. Katie did everything we asked her to. She was very accommodating when we had to change our schedule at the last moment. Thank you Katie!”

“Lauren was a great sitter! She was very conscientious about making Max’s stay comfortable for him and checked in with me throughout the day. I would definitely have her watch him again”

“Jordan was amazing! I plan to book her again if available! I can tell my pup was excited & happy with his doggy daycare visits. Not only did she accept my last minute booking, but she was open and very negotiable with pick uo & drop off times. She frequently sent pics, walked my pup multiple time a day & had no doubts leaving my dog in her care. Would highly encourage anyone to consider booking her for pet services!”

About: Dogs have always been part of our life and are treated as a member of the family. When in our house the dogs are allowed on furniture and we will treat them as they were our dog. We welcome calls to check up on your animal while they are staying with us. We will give them plenty of attention and someone will be around in the house to make sure they are doing well. We look forward to having your animal stay will us and giving them attention while they are here. We can even send you pictures or videos while you are gone to see how they are enjoying their stay. I am retired as a special education teacher and enjoy animals. Last year I lost my dog Sammy who was 19 years old and look forward to being with dogs. Our family treats pets like part of our family. We like to spend time with them and interact in the house as well as outside.
“Breezy had an absolute ball! She came home tired and Wendy sent tons of photos and videos. It’s so relaxing to know that she was safe and sound all day. Not to mention, she had tons of fun! Wendy was very responsive and answered all my questions. She really went above and beyond to make breezy comfortable and give her a fun filled day!”

“My dog is very shy and has separation anxiety but Sarah made her feel right at home. I could see from the pictures and videos just how great of a time she was having. I’ll definitely be brining her back!”

“Cara is the best! She is prompt and professional and her kind and calming presence made our Daisy take to her right away. Daisy absolutely loves her and we are so happy to have found her! Thank you!”

“Haejin & Herscel were wondering caretakers! They were open to taking my dog for daycare a few days before and treated her so well. I liked that they only take a few dogs a day to reduce exposure and ensure they are all being watched. I loved the occasional photo and video updates, which her other daycare doesn't do it all. She came home very tired from playing all day, which was exactly what we wanted. I look forward to using them again!”

“Granite had the best day ever with Alexsys. 30 min after I dropped him off she sent me a photo of a very happy dog sitting in her lap. Alexsys was so great with communication. She sent many photos and let me know how he was doing during this entire stay. We will definitely book with Alexsys again.”

About: Dog care certified in Argentina, as an animal lover I want to pursue career caring for them. Since young, I used to spend a lot of time in dog walks and parks with them. I believe now, I can provide them the perfect environment of a fenced backyard of 10.000 sqf. I love to exercise and pamper pups and we're easy to reach, even for a last-minute need. With some dog training experience and a lot of love for dogs, I look forward to taking care of your family member like one of our own. Depending on your pup's needs, I will take long playtime or jogs with your dog. If your furry family member just needs companionship and loving attention, I am happy to provide that kind of care, too. Photos of your dog will be shared with you throughout their visit. I love to send lots of pictures of my guests. My house is generally a cage-free environment, but will use your crates if that is what your pup is used to at home. I have a couple of gates to use as necessary to separate dogs during meals and to give them a large, safe play area in our home.
“My Hera loves Emily & her pup Peaches. Hera gets treat boards, lots of walks, snuggles, and activities. Emily continues training I do at home with Hera at daycare...such as auto sit at the street edge and wait for "cross" command before crossing the street. A happy Hera makes me a happy dog mama. 😀”

“Josi is a 5-star pet sitter! She worked with me to coordinate varied dropoff/pickup times, sent photos of my happy pup throughout the day, and was very accommodating of my dog’s personality and preferences. I would consider asking Josi to sit for my again any time I needed it! :)))”

She takes him on multiple walks and sends me lots of pictures during the day. About: What sets me apart is my personal experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. I’ve raised and cared for five dogs throughout my life, including Labs, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, and German Shepherds, so I understand the very different needs of small, medium, and large breeds. I trained my own puppy from 8 weeks old, teaching her a wide range of tricks and good behaviors, which gave me a lot of patience and training skills. I’m also comfortable handling more challenging dogs as one of my Chihuahuas was very aggressive, which taught me how to read body language and safely manage reactive pets, from a young age. In addition, I have extensive experience caring for senior dogs. I’ve helped raise multiple dogs into old age, including a German Shepherd that lived until 15, and a Labrador Retriever that lived until 17! I understand the gentleness, and care older dogs require. Overall, I bring a lot of confidence to this role because of my genuine understanding of dogs at every stage of life. I just finished my undergrad and plan to be home all summer. I begin graduate school in the fall online and will practically have no big everyday commitments. I have a few vacations planned but besides that I am an open book willing to work anytime. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize keeping their routine as consistent as possible. (Dogs know their schedule!) I follow all instructions closely and carefully for any specific care needs. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise so they feel comfortable while their owner is away. I have cared for dogs that experience extreme distress from their owner being gone and I have developed my skills to better care for dogs experiencing this. I’m also very attentive to behavior and health, so I can quickly notice if something seems off. I respect my client’s home by secure and exactly as I found it. My goal is to make both the pet, and the owner feel completely at ease, just as I would want if my dog was being watched.
“100% would recommend Christin to anyone! She is so professional and kind, the dogs love her. Such a sweet, responsible, courteous person., I cannot say enough good things about her!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for cats of all ages, including kittens and newborns. I have assisted with multiple cat births and cared for newborn kittens, including situations where the mother was unable to care for them. I am comfortable supporting basic care needs under clear instructions, such as helping administer medications when guidance is provided. I’m very attentive, patient, and always prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide care in the mornings, evenings, and full days on certain days of the week. I am fully available on Thursdays and Sundays, and I also have availability in the mornings on Mondays and Fridays, as well as evenings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. I always make sure pets are cared for on time and according to their routine. I always follow the pet owner’s instructions carefully and make sure pets feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I keep a clean and calm space, ensure fresh water, proper feeding, and provide attention and playtime based on each pet’s needs and personality. I am very attentive to details and always prioritize the safety, well-being, and comfort of every pet.

About: (Brand new to Rover) I’ve been around animals since the day I was born, and dogs have always felt like big, goofy, furry toddlers — full of personality, joy, and chaos in the best way. I currently live in an anti‑pet apartment (tragic, I know), so I’m looking to fill that dog‑shaped hole in my heart by being the next best thing: your pup’s reliable walking and hiking buddy. I’m an active, outdoorsy person who loves long walks, trails, and exploring. Whether your dog is a tiny ball of energy or a large, gentle giant, I’m comfortable with all sizes, temperaments, seniors, and puppies. I’m patient, confident, and genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s quirks. What I offer: Long walks or trail hikes for high‑energy pups Picture updates so you can see their adventures Flexible scheduling — I’m a teacher on summer break, so I’m wide open With a friendly, upbeat personality, your dog will warm up quickly If your dog needs exercise, company, or just someone who treats them like the lovable toddler they are, I’d love to help. Let’s get your pup out exploring and having fun. As a teacher on summer break, pet care fits naturally and easily into my weekly routine. I’m active every day, walking, hiking, or spending time outdoors, so adding a dog to that rhythm feels like the most joyful part of my schedule. I have plenty of flexibility, which means I can plan walks around your dog’s needs rather than squeezing them into a tight window. (ADDITION: Until May 30th, I can only walk dogs on weekends because of my teaching and coaching schedule) Since I live in an anti‑pet apartment, all of my care happens in your home or out on the trail. I treat every dog like the big furry toddler they are, with patience, structure, and a lot of enthusiasm. Here’s what my care typically looks like: Consistent routines: I follow your feeding, walking, and potty schedule exactly as you prefer. Active outings: long walks or trail hikes for dogs who need to burn energy, or gentle strolls for seniors. Safety first: secure leashing, checking gear, watching for heat, and keeping a close eye on body language. Clean and respectful home care: wiping paws, refreshing water, tidying up any messes, and leaving your home exactly as I found it. Photo updates: I send regular pictures so you can see your pup’s adventures and feel connected while you’re away. Calm companionship: whether your dog is tiny and energetic or large and mellow, I match their vibe and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. Because I’m free all summer, I can offer flexible scheduling, longer walks, and extra attention, especially for dogs who thrive on activity and routine.

I have walked and exercised dogs of all ages and sizes. I have raised puppies and kittens from birth and am very experienced with care before and after birth for the moms. I have taken care of reactive dogs and have dealt with many aggressive of leash dogs. I am currently a student at my local community college and I’ll be fully online for the summer, so I’ll have lots of time to take care of your pets! I have experience crating dogs, being with them out in the yard, or just in the house. It’s up to you how you want me to spend the time with them, but I’d prefer to be with them the whole time! I can take long walks, play in the yard for a long time or I can just cuddle with your pet or give them their space if that’s what they prefer.

About: *I’m willing to pick up/drop off or meet to assist with getting your pets to my home if it is more convenient for your schedule** I've been taking care of dogs since the age of 12, I'm now 29. It started with local dogs and cats in the neighborhood I grew up in to now doing it as a side gig and it has been the best decision I have ever made. I love the different types of dogs I get and all of the different personalities. I have yet to host a dog that didn't enjoy the walks, playing and cuddling provided at my house. I have experience with bathing, boarding, walking, feeding and shuttling to the vet. I love dogs of all breeds and sizes and can ensure you that they will have so much fun and love provided at my house, that they will never know you were gone :) Currently I have availability to board during the week, Monday through Friday and on the weekend 24/7 - as I am home & can accommodate any potty break schedule. . I accept early morning/late night drop offs and pick ups and am willing to meet you or pick up your pet if it is more convenient for your schedule. I have plenty of room run as well as two very spoiled and friendly dogs of my own. Both of my personal dogs can be crated if needed, as I introduce new animals slowly to mine to ensure they start off on good terms. All animals that come to my home will get plenty of love and making sure they are comfortable is my top priority.
“Charlotte was AMAZING with Beau! Every morning, he got so excited when it was almost time for his walk with her! She sent pictures every day and has a great compassion for her clients. Highly recommend! Will definitely use her services in the future!”

About: I have lived on my parents farm my whole life. While growing up I helped raise: horses, cows, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, you name it. About 5 minutes from my home is a humane society where I use to volunteer as a dog walker and foster. I have experience in birthing and raising kittens, one of which I chose to adopt myself. He is a sweet tabby named Bruno who I have the uttermost privilege of loving. I have a sweet spot for pit bulls but ultimately I love all animals unconditionally. If you choose me, I guarantee your baby ( or babies ) will get every ounce of my care and loving affection. When it comes to my daily routine, I work remotely and am blessed with a very flexible schedule. Therefore, I’ll have plenty of free time to entertain and care for your kids. I care for animals with my absolute full attention to their needs. I be sure to stick close to them so as to be certain they are satisfied and safe. :)

“Ruth was so awesome and sweet! I could have not asked for a better person to watch my pup! My Dully was so happy and I got a bunch of photos of him having so much fun. Definitely recommend and will be going back to her every time☺️”

“Alexsys took great care of both of my dogs. She was very communicative through the week she had them. She was very accommodating and understanding to my dogs needs. I would highly recommend her!”

“💕 Warm & Heartfelt Tara took such wonderful care of Peanut while I was away. I could tell right away that she treated her with so much love and attention. She and her family cared for my dog with so much love, as if Peanut were her own. Her kids were also so sweet and played so nicely with Peanut — it really made her stay extra special. She even surprised us with an adorable elephant toy and cookies for Peanut to take home, which was incredibly thoughtful. Peanut came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I feel so grateful to have found someone I can fully trust, and I would definitely recommend Tara to anyone looking for a loving and responsible sitter”

“Once again, Jaime and Mike did an incredible job caring for my dog, Banjo, while I was away. They're great about providing updates, and are such a lovely family—I could tell Banjo had the best time with them! Thank you!”

“Maki and Joel were fantastic with our puppy! I loved the pictures and videos they sent, and also the detailed updates each day. I could tell our little girl was well loved while she was with them.”

“Katelyn was amazing. Very attentive. Reached out to us everyday with pictures and videos. Great communication throughout the whole visit. Our dogs loved her. Very easy to work with. We did an initial visit then she agreed to watch on the spot. April, her dog, is amazing as well. We will definitely go with her again!”
