“Casey does a fantastic job! She watches Milo every year when we go on vacation. Milo loves going there and has so much fun and attention I think he doesn’t care how long he stays. Casey is attentive and I never have to worry about my dog’s care. She sends updates, pictures and will reach out if there is a question. We will never use anyone else!”

“Hillary and her family were great with my puppy Panther. I highly recommend my dog felt like part of their family and they welcomed Panther with open arms. Hillary was also great with communicating and always playing with my dog. When I picked up my dog I could tell he had such a great weekend.”

“This is such a sweet family that took such great care of my black lab Mika! My puppy loves going and does so well! They were so sweet to keep me updated during her stay! Would highly recommend them!”

“A super great experience in a friendly and loving environment. Brenda and Chief seem to love each other and have a great time together. Thanks again, Brenda. See you next time!”

“Caroline and Spencer are the best! We will always use them whenever we go out of town! They took such great care of our girl Xena! Their home is amazing and dog friendly! We are so thankful for having them be our rovers! ??”

“Amy was an outstanding pet sitter. Both my dog and cat seemed to be happy and content. Amy sent photos and videos daily so I could feel confident that they were in good hands. She is obviously a lover of both dogs and cats, and understands their behavior and needs.”

“I really felt like Enzo was being taken care of the whole time I was gone. Emily was very kind and flexible with my schedule. I even got some really good professional grade pictures from her of Enzo! All around great experience.”

“Joleen was amazing. We are new to the neighborhood and needed someone to watch our dog for an evening. Joleen was kind and our dog took to her instantly. She listened to our care instructions and within a few minutes of leaving our dog with her, she sent us a picture to show how happy our pup was. When we came to pick him up, he was happy (and exhausted from all the running he did in her yard!). We would definitely recommend Joleen. Was an amazing experience.”

“My girl had so much fun in this loving home!! Wendy took care of every need I had addressed for the time I would be gone and then went far beyond all needs and expectations!”

“Love Kari! So glad I came across her profile! My dog was so comfortable with her from the moment we walked in, that I knew she would be in good hands while in her care. Will absolutely be using Kari again for future care. Thank you!”

“Aaliyah is by far the best! She was super communicative before and after the stay, and you can tell she genuinely cares about your pet and their well-being. She really eased my mind while I was away and I could tell my Ollie man enjoyed his stay with her and her family.”

“My husband and I have 100% confidence in Chantal. She always provides great updates, is very flexible around drop off and pick up times— which is especially important when a train or a flight is delayed — and our dogs are treated as if they are her own, with lots of snuggling and play time. We have no anxieties about them while we’re gone. Highly recommended!”

“Danielle watched our mini-dachshund for a week at her home and we could not have asked for a better experience. Our pup can be a bit high maintenance, but she took it all in stride and gave her excellent care the entire time. Her communication was fantastic too, with regular updates that put us at ease while we were away. We came home to a happy, well cared for dog. Highly recommend and would absolutely book her again”

“We were so happy with our dog in Jessica's care! He had a few medical needs requiring some extra attention and meds to be given and she was great with him. She even texted us some updates to just check in while we were gone. We would definitely use her again and recommend her to others.”

“Mary is amazing! She is EXTREMELY flexible and a very loving and nurturing attitude. My pup had a great time with her and I felt completely comfortable with him there. I got pictures and updates my entire trip :)”

“Crystal did a great job caring for our two dogs Max and Cody. She and her family obviously loved dogs and our two took to her immediately. Her place was great and the dogs were able to spend time outdoors. She gave us a worry free day. Highly recommended.”

“I was desperate to get a dog sitter when we were in town visiting with our daughter and Casey came through for us! The doggies loved her and she wore them out. :) highly recommend!”

“At first I thought Remi was mad at us for leaving him. It soon was clear to see he had a full day of fun and was pooped. Hillary had full command of him and her dog Joshua and sent us pics through the day playing and resting. I had full confidence and could see that she and her family were loving animal people. She came through on short notice and on Christmas! We recommend her whole heartedly. We will happily be using her again in the future.”

“Layman was a lifesaver when we needed a last minute dog sitter to attend our son’s graduation. She was flexible with the timing of our return as we knew traffic could be bad getting back. Our Bella seemed comfortable with Layna and got along with her dog Chance.”

About: Rover says "What sets you apart from other sitters?" My answer is simple. Find me at :KolorfulK9(.)com: Rover takes nearly 20% of the final price you pay, so I get 20% less income. 🩷 Geriatric and Special Needs Care if my specialty when it comes to pets. While I will happily accept ALL dogs under 30lbs, I specialize in elderly pets/special needs pets who don't do well in boarding situations and need extra care throughout the day. I'm well-versed in administering oral medication, injections, and even subcutaneous fluids as needed. I am available 24hrs a day for potty breaks and medication routines. I am currently the only sitter in the western area of VA that is certified through the Professional Animal Care Certification Council, a 3rd party certification. This means they do not offer any classes or teaching, but only offer the test, which costs around $400. I am also a member of the International Boarding & Pet Services Association and the International Association of Canine Professionals. I carry Pet Sitting Insurance as well. All in all, I love pets of all ages and sizes. The older ones, the smaller ones, and the ones who need just a little extra care have my heart a little more. (Please note that this site keeps over 20% of my earnings, so I do charge a bit more to book through Rover vs my personal one of KolorfulK9 ) I have availability for the following pups: all pups under 40 lbs, elderly pets of any size, and special-needs pets. I am home most of the day; when I am not, my husband is available to feed/medicate as needed. There will never be a time when your pet is left alone for more than an hour or two at a time (such as needing to run errands or going out for a quick dinner). Next, Rover asks me how I care for pets in my home. My home schedule: I am a homebody, so whenever I am not at work, you can usually find me at home relaxing with my dogs in our 'dog' room, watching Netflix, reading a book, or playing some video games on my computer. Your pup would be right there along with us, relaxing and getting all kinds of love. I am a traveling dog photographer, and if I'm home I rarely leave as I travel enough when working haha! I offer overnight stays in my home specifically for: Elderly pups and pups of all ages with special needs (Under 40lbs) who would not do well in a boarding facility. Your pups would be the center of attention in the house while they were here. We do have cats in the house, so please let us know if your pup has any issues with smaller animals. If so, we can still accommodate them, we would just have them in our dog-only area! I have a 'dog room' at home with a couch for relaxing and reading or gaming/watching Disney+ on our large screen TV, an echo dot that will play calming classical music while I am out of the room, and a padded floor with lots of rugs around for the older pups. When we aren't hanging out in that room, our house has hardwood floors with many rugs to keep paws stable, and tons of dog beds(of all sizes) scattered around for comfort. For potty times, I have a spacious fenced-in yard with plenty of shade! Meal times are at your pet's schedule! I make sure to follow any feeding and medication schedules you provide. My husband works from home, so if I am delayed due to traffic from an errand or such, he can let the pups out to potty or give time-sensitive medications/feedings. Pups are crated or placed in a separate room for Meal times and during Potty rotations to ensure no one gets too rowdy and no one becomes aggressive over their food. Please feel free to reach out with any specific questions about our day-to-day! I am happy to answer any inquiries.

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life. From housetraining puppies to caring for aging senior dogs, I have experience with a range of personalities/quirks and am very comfortable with large or hyperactive dogs and rescues. My older Beagle, who I cared for for more than 13 years, had a seizure disorder and in the final months of her life, we administered IV sub-Q fluids to her every 2-3 days, so I have experience with caring for pups with medical needs and I can administer medication. I also have 5 years of experience volunteering in a high-volume animal shelter, working predominantly with large dogs, so I understand how animals might behave when they are in a stressful environment and interacting with an unfamiliar person. I strive to provide a stress-free, comforting environment while you are away so please let me know what your pup loves the most! What you can expect: — Time outdoors, playing or on leashed walks — Cuddles and belly rubs — Lots of (approved) treats — Every effort to stick to your pet’s routine and establish clear boundaries! I can provide in-home doggy day care and boarding with a prior meet and greet* if your dog gets along with the two dogs in our home. Your pup will never be left alone with my dogs when I’m providing doggy day care or boarding, so I do require them to be crate-trained for overnight stays. I work full-time from home during the week but have a very flexible schedule. I can provide morning walks, drop in visits and afternoon playtime before lots of attention in the evening. My partner is also home most days and our 15-year-old stepson is home in the afternoons and evenings (and weekends), though he is not involved in any animal care. I can board one to two dogs (from the same household) in my home if they are crate-trained, but a meet and greet is required beforehand. They will not be left alone in my home with my pups unattended. I am available for drop-in visits and some housesitting. I am open to long-term, ongoing schedules as well as flexible, on-the-spot drop-ins. I can provide some services in my own home most days of the week. I am open to spending as much time as I can with your pup. I enjoy walks, playing outdoors and sticking to their routine as much as possible! I know it can be stressful for pets when their owners are gone so I strive to provide a stress-free experience for your best friend! I will use your standard equipment and follow all directions you provide, especially on walks. I have experience with escape artists and will do everything I can to keep your pup safe. I also am very neat and tidy, will clean up any messes your pet makes and will treat your space with respect.
About: I’ve had dogs my whole life & have dog sat many years for family and friends! I work from home, so have lots of time on my hands to come over and spend time with any pup- big or small. I work from home full-time, which gives me a very flexible schedule to prioritize your pet's needs. Because I’m always around, I can provide frequent potty breaks, constant supervision, and plenty of mid-day attention. Whether it’s a long walk or cuddling on the couch, your dog will never be alone for long. I have a fully fenced, secure yard and two friendly dogs of my own to keep your fur baby company. Safety is my top priority, so I always supervise outdoor play and can easily crate your dog if needed for meals or bedtime. My home is a pet-friendly environment designed to make every guest feel comfortable and safe.

I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was young. I’d walk, feed and love on my neighbors and friends pets. I hope I will be the one you call and who you can trust with your furry BFF. Whether you have a long day at work or a weekend vacation, I’ll be there for you! I work part time on the weekends up on the mountain and have lots of time during the week to help out with your dog! I have a fenced in play area in my back yard and crates, dog beds and a designated “dog room” where your pet can relax in solitude or with Gizmo!

If I’m in the area again and need a dog sitter, I will definitely reach out; the care from her community of neighbors was incredible! I particularly appreciated their transparency & consideration for Bugs’ needs.”

“Eleni and her family were amazing!! I left Louis with them for a month and then another week. He came back very happy and was happy to see them when I dropped him off a second time. She was very flexible with drop off and pick up times. I know I can trust Eleni to watch Louis whenever needed!”

“Kasalyn was great! She took excellent care of my dog, kept me updated, and made the whole process easy and stress-free. I felt completely comfortable leaving my dog with her and would definitely book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“Falen and Dani were great. They have two adorable kids and a fenced yard. They had another dog they were dogsitting but one that was obviously very sociable and friendly. On top of it all, they were flexible on the pick up time. Would definitely recommend.”

“We had a great experience with John and his wife. They kept us informed and our dogs clearly had a great time and were well cared for. They have lots of backyard space for our dogs to run which they need.”

“This was our first time using the Rover app, so I was definitely nervous about leaving our dog for 11 days. The moment we dropped Cash off and started talking with Emily, all of my nerves disappeared! Her warmth, kindness, and genuine love for dogs immediately put us at ease! Cash had the best time! He came home happy, relaxed, and it was obvious he had been well cared for and loved. Emily kept us updated throughout our trip and sent us the sweetest pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. If you’re looking for someone you can truly trust with your fur baby, I can’t recommend Emily enough! Emily is Cash’s forever sitter, and we’ll be booking with her every time!! ❤️”
