“I’m a little offended but very impressed. 😂 When we came to pick up our pup he was visibly bummed that we were there to take him away from Samantha. He clearly had an absolute blast and immediately passed out in the car on the drive home. This was his first night away from us but we received lots of pictures and updates and felt very at peace knowing he was having fun and well cared for. Thank you for putting my dog mom mind at ease!”

“Shannon, and family, took such great care of our babies. On a daily basis, she kept us well informed of how they were doing and sent plenty of pictures so we felt at ease. The family loved snuggling with them which helped make our babies feel at home. This was our first time having someone other than family watch our dogs; Shannon made us feel comfortable while we spent time with family on vacation especially given our Bichon's separation anxiety. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

“John is an excellent sitter! I can’t say enough good things about him. He took such good care of our dog, sent twice daily updates, and provided lots of walks and enrichment activities for him while we were out of town. We know our boy Lu enjoyed his stay!”

“Tyke loved his stay! He made a friend while there and came home and exhausted pup! Richard and Kelly have an amazing facility and truly take fantastic care of their dogs. Tyke will definitely be returning if ever needed!”

“Awesome family! So kind and loving. Our Miso got lots of exercise from their family dogs too! Theresa was so flexible with the timing of our drop off and pick up, made our trip much less stressful! Thank you! Will definitely use you in the future.”

“This was my first time using Rover and I was extremely nervous. Lydia was amazing with my pups , she sent updates, videos and pictures the whole time. We will definitely be using her for all our trips out of town from now on. I would give 10 stars if I could!!!”

“I was a little stressed to leave my pup for 8 days while I was out of the country but Emily’s communication was great. She sent updates and photos and felt like my dog was in good hands.”

“Amanda was great. My pets can be a little nervous but they warmed up to her quickly. She sent daily check in’s so I knew they were doing well when I was away. I would definitely book her again.”

“Trooper had an awesome stay with David! I received daily updates and photos, which really put my mind at ease. It was clear Trooper enjoyed the long walks, plenty of attention, and excellent care. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with David again in the future!”

“Donna was highly recommended to us by some friends and she took excellent care of our dog Malcolm while we went out of town for a wedding. She gave him endless attention which was evident when we picked him up and he made himself comfortable on her lap! She sent us pictures and videos so we knew he was in good hands, and even took him to the park and for plenty of walks. We highly recommend Donna to anyone!!”

“My dog settled in immediatly. After a short exploration of the house, he went directly to Erin for a belly rub. He was very calm when I picked him up and went to Erin to say goodbye right before we left.”

“Our Golden, Eli, received, EXCELLENT care and attention ~ and Katie kept us updated daily, including photos, which kept us from worrying and assured us he was happy and doing well!!!”

“All of Jody’s reviews live up to the hype! I was so worried about someone new watching my dog with separation anxiety, but he didn’t even want to leave! My dogs love Jody, and I see why. She truly cares about the quality of their stay. Thank you so much Jody!”

“We had to book with Kayla pretty much as last minute as you could get. Our original Rover didn’t work out and we needed to find somewhere quick. Kayla was super communicative and easy going! Her other dogs are all so sweet and well trained. It was a great socialization experience for our dog. She sent us so many videos and pictures throughout the booking. We loved Kayla and would recommend her 1000x over”

About: I have been caring for dogs for over 20 years, and had a business running my own daily poochie playgroup and doing home boarding in the Old Town area of Alexandria, VA since 1998. I moved to the Charlottesville area and am missing all my furry friends. I have even started friends in other areas of the country on their own dog sitting businesses Very successfully, i might add! I would love for your dog to become a part of my pack <3

About: We enjoy having a dog. We do walks, sniff games, chicken broth ice cubes for happy hour in our fenced in yard. We want your dog to feel like they are on vacation when they are with us. They might be spoiled when we give them back. Sorry about that. My husband is fully retired and I have a hybrid position. At least one person will be home to attend to your fur babies needs. We enjoy taking care of a dog. There are no children or pets in our non smoking home. We have a fenced in yard and a nice neighborhood for taking walks. We also have an Apple air tag to put on your dogs collar. We enjoy being outside with your dog in the yard.
“Penny and Evan were great with our little “high anxiety” fur baby. During the “meet and greet” Penny had us come in and take him straight to the fenced back yard where he could sniff around and go to the bathroom. Knowing about his anxiety, once we went back inside, Penny never tried to pet him, she just allowed him to get used to her being in the room. She was a very calming presence for him. Evan likewise was patient with him and allowed him the time it took to settle and get comfortable. We are thrilled to have found Penny and Even and the bonus is that they live about 4 minutes from our house! We have already booked the next daycare appointment!”

About: There have also been pets in my house and I have also made myself available to pet sit for friends and family. I am flexible in when and how to care for your smallest or largest family member. I’m a teacher on summer break though I do have a part time evening job that starts at 430 my husband comes home at 4 and probably loves dogs even more than me. I have a large fenced backyard and plenty of room in my house for exploring. We do have a small rescue Chihuahua, but she is friendly and very kind.
“Candace was an amazing dog sitter. She took very good care of my fur baby! She took pictures of her, text me throughout the day, took her on walks, snuggled with her, played and more ♡ Couldn't ask for anything more ♡ Thank you Candace!!!!”

“Shelby kindly accepted our last-minute request for a half-day daycare and took great care of Sancho. He seemed to have a wonderful time, and Shelby kept us updated with a photo. Thank you so much, Shelby!”

“Kimberly was absolutely phenomenal and so kind! Our senior fur baby has a lot of extra needs, so we’ve always put date days aside to ensure we wouldn’t have to leave her home alone. From the first text interaction with Kimberly to meeting in person - we knew that we found someone we could trust! We got picture updates throughout the day, and each care instruction we provided was taken very serious. We will definitely be trusting Kimberly with our fur baby in the future. Thank you SO much!”
“Deann was wonderful! We were a last minute booking and she could not have been more flexible or more gracious! Our puppy had a great afternoon. We will definitely be return customers!”

“Chloe was really great to work with our big dog. He has separation anxiety and can be a nervous and shy dog. She did a meet and greet beforehand, listened and asked questions about him. She also sent lots of photos and updates on his first day to make sure we knew he had settled and was doing okay. Really great experience to have for our 80lbs sensitive boy. Thank you!”

“We used Corrie for doggie daycare while attending a Tech game. She was fabulous! Super friendly, sent lots of pictures, great property. We’d definitely use them again anytime!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for over 10 years and have a lifelong love for animals. As a dog owner myself with two dogs at home, I understand how important it is to find someone who will care for your pets the same way you do. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m experienced with feeding schedules, administering basic medications, potty breaks, exercise, and providing plenty of attention and affection. I also know how reassuring it is to receive updates, so I’ll send photos and messages throughout your pet’s stay or visit to give you peace of mind. My goal is to create a fun, safe, and stress-free experience for both you and your pet. I treat every animal as if they were my own, and I can’t wait to meet your furry family members! I currently do work full time but I do create my own schedule and am pretty flexible so we can work around the hours needed for you and your pet! I do currently have two male dogs who are 8 and 9 years old. They both are very friendly and very playful. They play with puppies and older dogs very well and they’re very diverse with sizes of dogs who they are around. If your dog is aggressive to other male dogs, this won’t be a good fit for you. However, i’m happy to have an introduction to make sure everyone is comfortable. We tend to take a lot of walks and play ball in the yard throughout the day. During the summer we swim in the pop up pool we have for the boys and get the zooms out!

About: I'm accustomed to feeding, walking, and giving oodles of love to cats and dogs after constantly growing up around animals. I've taken care of big and small dogs, including a range from chihuahuas to the biggest German shepherds I've ever seen. I am used to and comfortable with feeding/watering, walking, playing, cuddling, letting out, and bathing dogs and cats. I am more than happy to welcome your pet with open arms and tons of love! (Updated 9/4/26) Currently, I am available for house-sitting, check-ins and walks from 10am (EST) to 9pm, open all week. For house-sitting, I can arrive earlier or leave later if requested. I'm flexible and happy to communicate any schedule conflicts, special conditions, or different times. I like to introduce myself to an animal in an open, "hey, I'm here to be nice and friendly, maybe ask you to poop" kind of way, letting them sniff, touch, or watch me for as long as they need to in order to feel comfortable with me. I talk to pets in a calm, soft voice while I care for them, and follow their body language and any meows or barks that mean they may need something. I'm happy to follow any schedule they're accustomed to as well.
About: As a devoted & experienced SAHM, I have proudly cared for a variety of animals for over 15 years. Dogs, cats, rabbits - you name it! Families entrust their furry companions to my care, often rebooking my services due to their satisfaction & peace of mind. From feeding and exercise to cozy snuggles and playtime, I will create a joyful, nurturing environment where your pets thrive & your family feels confident in my care. I’m able to incorporate pet care into my routines because my schedule is flexible. I ensure all of your pets needs are met with consistency & love. My home will provide a welcoming environment for pets to feel comfortable and safe. They will be able to safely roam the house (unless otherwise stated), get on the furniture, and will be able to adjust calmly. Whether it's dog walking, house sitting, or pet daycare, my services suit the specific needs of each pet and client. For dog walking, I take pups on enjoyable strolls in the neighborhood or nearby parks, providing them with exercise and fresh air. If house sitting is required, I ensure the pets receive round-the-clock care, maintaining their routines, and offering companionship in the comfort of their own home. In the case of pet daycare, I create an engaging atmosphere filled with toys, interactive play, and socialization opportunities, allowing pets to have a fun-filled day while their owners are away. Regardless of the service provided, I prioritize safety, hygiene, and regular communication with pet owners, ensuring they are informed and at ease throughout the entire process.

“Kim was great with our little girl Golden Retriever, Lexie. Kim and her boyfriend played ball with her and took her for a walk. Lexie also got to play with two Golden puppies. The fenced in backyard was wonderful for her to burn off that extra energy. Kim sent many pictures to let us know that Lexie was eating well and playing with the others. This was only a two day, one night stay but Kim and her boyfriend went out of their way to make sure Lexie was happy and that we were informed so we would not worry. It was a great experience.”

“Sidney took wonderful care of Scout! She was attentive, kept us updated, and sent pictures throughout his stay, which we really appreciated. We felt comfortable knowing Scout was in good hands and well cared for. We would happily recommend Sidney to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!”
