I have had many issues with past sitters being dishonest and not following my guidance but I HIGHLY recommend Tanine!!! I have two very high energy pups (golden doodle and lab). She kept me updated, good and bad, and made sure to give my pup his meds with enough time for them to be effective prior to crating. She ensured to make them as comfortable as possible through the day and I truly appreciate her level of care. I specifically chose her due to the training background and I am so glad I followed through though there were not many reviews. I did not have to ask for pictures or updates throughout. She has small children that seem to love dogs so I know my pups received comfort as they love children. She is a gem! About: I have been around dogs my whole life. They truly are a man’s bestfriend. At home I have a beautiful white lab, he is 95lbs of pure love thinking he’s a lapdog. I also have a King Charles Cavalier that is the princess of the house. She is so happy and spunky and keeps us all laughing. Previously I have owned Cocker Spaniels, other Labs and a Maltese. I started dogsitting when I was 11 years old. I had just arrived at my grandparents house and I saw this little dog wandering around and he ran right to me and I saw the owner walking towards me up the road. The puppy let me pick him up and we walked all the way to the owner. He and his wife were pilots so whenever they were flying I was working and I was ecstatic to have my first job looking after their two dogs. Through the years I’ve done Bathing, walks, feeding, medications, shots , vet trips, etc. I truly love dogs and seeing them happy, and giving their families peace of mind that their beloved pups will be well loved while they are gone. About: With the exception of a few years during college, I have always had animals in my life! I grew up always having a cat and a dog in the house and taking progressively more responsibility for their care as I got older. Now, I'm owned by two dogs (a boxer mix and a lab mix) and two cats, one of which followed my boxer and I home one day and decided to stay. They are by far the best part of my day. With all these fur babies, I've run the gauntlet of pet care challenges, from pilling cats, to dealing with allergies, to working on behaviors like marking and excessive barking. I don't claim to have it all figured out, but what I do know is that it's made me incredibly patient and compassionate with any animals in my care. Plus I've learned a trick or two along the way! I currently work for myself (from home) as a research consultant. While I do have periodic meetings throughout the week, I usually have a significant amount of flexibility in my schedule during the mornings and afternoons. I often find myself going out on multiple long walks throughout the day and generally finding any excuse I can to be outside. So why not use that time to hang out with some new animal friends? My flexible schedule means that I can accommodate most any pet needs. I go for multiple walks every day both on my own and with my own dogs, so it's easy to incorporate lots of activity in your pet's day. I also have an enclosed front porch that we all love sitting outside in the shade on, just enjoying the fresh air. And on hot days, I even have a kiddie pool that one of my dogs likes to play in to cool off. Both my dogs are very friendly and would love to make new friends! One of my cats even enjoys horsing around with the dogs. My dogs have free reign in the house, but usually hang out with me. I'm happy to have your dog(s) make themself at home as well or to crate them if that's your preference.

I am a teacher so I work Monday-Friday until mid-June but I am available on weekends until then. I will adjust my schedule once school lets out. Pets will have the opportunity to wander around the house freely (unless documented by owner otherwise), and will also be walked around Old Town Warrenton which is very pet friendly :)
About: I have 7 years experience as a veterinary technician and many more just in general. I have a bachelor’s degree in pre-veterinary biology along with many animal internship experiences. Along with my children, we can give your pets attention and lots of love! If your pet does not like children we can also establish another plan of care. I am also able to keep small and exotic animals. Please only reach out if you are a serious inquiry. Please know that I make my plans around watching and taking care of your fur babies so that I can give them all the love and attention I possibly can while you are away! I have a giant fenced in yard and a very friendly dogs. I am able to come to your house for potty breaks and feedings. I do require proof of up to date vaccines (bordatella, rabies and distemper.) Must also have an up to date NEGATIVE fecal and heartworm test and your pet must be up to date on flea and tick medication.
About: I am owned by my Australian Shepherd mix Luke, Flat Coat Retreiver Mack, chihuahua mix Dover and Jack Russel Dallas and I am here to put your mind at ease while you go on vacation or out of town for a business trip! I also have extensive experience with the feline variety. I am an EMT-B for humans, but I have also taken training classes in dog/cat CPR and Heimlich. Not that we will need it. I have experience in administering medication by mouth, IM injections and testing blood glucose. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I would prefer to stay in your home so that the fur kid will be more comfortable and maybe it will help with any separation anxiety. I do not mind bringing in the mail or any other task that may be similar.

“Leslie is incredibly kind and attentive. She took my dog out for a lot of exercise, and kept him happy and safe while I was away. She provided plenty of photos and video updates and followed instructions to a T. She has a big backyard and comfortable looking house in a quiet neighborhood. My dog is usually pretty shy and can take a long time to warm up to new sitters, but he was right at home with Leslie. I would definitely recommend her to others, and plan to book with her again in the future.”

“I have to be very picky when choosing sitters as one pup has separation anxiety and will not stay with just anyone. I have had many issues with past sitters being dishonest and not following my guidance but I HIGHLY recommend Tanine!!! I have two very high energy pups (golden doodle and lab). She kept me updated, good and bad, and made sure to give my pup his meds with enough time for them to be effective prior to crating. She ensured to make them as comfortable as possible through the day and I truly appreciate her level of care. I specifically chose her due to the training background and I am so glad I followed through though there were not many reviews. I did not have to ask for pictures or updates throughout. She has small children that seem to love dogs so I know my pups received comfort as they love children. She is a gem! “Stacie was an absolute amazing! She took care of both my dogs; Duke and Rosie, for six days. Rosie stayed with Stacie before, but it was the first time for Duke. Stacie sent photos of both dogs multiple times a day. Duke had a knee surgery couple of years ago, so we were a little concerned, but Stacie was very cautious so he doesn’t hurt himself playing. Rosie is an anxious dog and takes a little time to warm up to people, but has no trouble introducing herself with other dogs, Stacie put us as ease! She provides regular updates throughout the day. In every photo, my dogs looked happy and well cared for. Duke and Rosie were shown a lot of love and attention during their time with Stacie and they came home happy and healthy.
