About: Growing up with horses, dogs, and cats, I’ve always had a passion for animals. I’ve worked at a pet boarding facility and doggy daycare, taught horseback riding, and cared for pets. I am currently a student at SUU and will have time in between classes, as well as evenings to play with your pets, care for them, take them on walks or hikes, and more! We are from the Houston, Texas area and our dog Hamish expects to play and do his business on grass which can be scarce out West. Hamish had a great time at Whitney's Doggy Day Care playing with Whitney's dog Mable. She sent me a couple of photos of a happy Hamish while we were hiking at Bryce Canyon National Park. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 13 years old. Back in my home country, my family home is basically a small shelter with 7+ adopted dogs, many of them rescued from the streets and now cared for by my mother and aunts. Growing up around so many dogs taught me how to be patient, attentive, and comfortable with different personalities and needs. I truly believe every stray deserves love, safety, and a home, and caring for animals has always been something very meaningful to me. I’m a freelance web developer working remotely, so I have a very flexible schedule and can spend plenty of time with your pet throughout the day. I enjoy being active outdoors, especially hiking and exploring nature, so if your pet loves adventures and exercise, they’re welcome to join me on walks, hikes, and other fun activities. I also make sure pets get lots of attention, playtime, and companionship so they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’m making sure pets feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible, whether they’re staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home. At my apartment, there’s a shared backyard area where they can hang out, get fresh air, and enjoy some time outside during the day. Since I work remotely, I’m usually around and able to give them lots of attention, company, walks, and playtime. I understand that every pet has different needs and routines, so I do my best to follow what they’re used to at home. If your pet is crate-trained or needs a quiet space to rest, I can definitely crate them when needed too.

About: I’ve had extensive experience working with and taking care of dogs. I grew up with 3 dogs and have been around and taken care of them my whole life. 3 years ago when I adopted my dog Luna, an anxious rescue, is when I really dove into research on the best practices for ways to train, take care of, and advocate for dogs— and now consider it one of my greatest passions. I also spent a year on and off volunteering at Coconino animal shelter in Flagstaff, AZ getting experience providing care to all kinds of dogs! I am in an online grad program for mental health counseling, with a part-time internship— so I am home a lot and am flexible! I have a fenced yard and 1 friendly husky mix that looooves to play. Big area of grass, with lots of toys, bones and a large backyard that provides plenty of stimulation. I have a large doggy door for easy access outside.
