I currently have two friendly dogs of our own who love to play, socialize, go on walks, and love to cuddle. About: I got my first cat, Erin, when I was 16 and I’ve loved them ever since! She taught me all the kitty basics. More recently I adopted Sunshine, who I found outside as a four week old kitten. I learned how to bottle feed him and would help him go to the bathroom. I watched him pretty much around the clock the first few weeks of his little life. He had worms as a kitten and that also helped teach me how to give oral medication or to add it to their food. Now he’s all grown up and they expect all the luxuries! They’re used to wet food meals and clean cat water fountains. Their litter boxes are scooped daily and get scrubbed clean every couple weeks. They have plenty of toys they love, which I switch out for them to keep them interested in them. They have automatic toys as well to play with them I’m not home. They get supervised and leashed outside play time when it’s warm and I’m working on building them a catio this summer! They get plenty of enrichment from treats, lick mats, puddle (dry treat) mats, catnip, scratchers, and so much more. I’ve also lived with roommates who have cats and I have watched friends kitties. I’m used to feeding multiple cats at once because of this and also have further experience giving oral medication and have even assisted in giving breathing treatments when the cats had a respiratory infection. I have also helped cats after having surgery, making sure their wounds are clean and covered or keeping the cat coned. I also have a little bit of experience helping outside cats, things like feeding them and helping them getting cleaned up, but mostly with gaining their trust and letting them know someone is there for them
