I have raised puppies, owned ferrets, house watched birds, and have my very own doggo that I consider my own child (she’s got her own closet of clothes and is spoiled beyond belief). I really prefer watching the animals at the clients home because that’s where they feel most comfortable. I don’t mind bringing the pets to my home, if they are on the smaller side. Of course, if it’s something on the bigger side, ie, like livestock, I would be at the client’s home.

About: I have been taking care of cats all my life and for the past ten years I've been taking care of dogs as well. I have experience working with animals that aren't my own as well as overnight stays. I am currently not in work, but I typically wake up around 7 am and start my day by feeding my animals and taking my dog for a walk. Then throughout the day I like to spend time with my animals and ensure they get plenty of attention. I have a fenced yard and a super sweet golden retriever who loves to play with all sized animals. It tells me a lot, whether they warm up right away or need space, and it means the first day is not the first time we have met. This doesn't have to be long but it is a nice first impression to the dog. In my home, your dog will not be alone. Delphi is here as company, and I introduce new dogs to her slowly and on neutral ground so the first meeting goes well for both of them (like a local dog park). I live in a quiet, secure apartment community with an on-site dog park and an open field next door, plus several trails within walking distance, so your dog gets real exercise rather than being cooped up all day. Delphi is not crate trained and has free run of the apartment, but I am happy to crate your dog if that is part of their routine. Just bring the crate and let me know the schedule you use. In your home, I stick to your dog's routine rather than imposing my own. I follow your feeding times, walk schedule, and house rules, keep dogs leashed anywhere that is not fenced, and send photo updates so you know how the day went. If anything seems off with your dog, I contact you right away, and I am prepared to drive them to a vet if it cannot wait.
