We booked Tia for our recent vacation and it was so easy. We got texts all the time from Tia with pictures of our dogs. It seems like we were replaced so easily. They loved her! When the time came to pick up our dogs, she was great with communicating with us so that we could work out a good time to pick up the dogs. When we went to pick our dogs up at her house, they didn’t even come to greet us. They just stayed sleeping in her bed. It was THAT comfortable. We had to go get them. About: Hello! I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12. From my 4 childhood pups I took care of, to my happy go lucky pup I have now, I’m well versed in feeding, walking, playing with, administering meds and many other needs your pet may need. :-) I currently work full time 0900- 230 Monday through Friday. My schedule is pretty flexible. I love to play with and love on my pet and will do the same for yours. I’m available weekends all day, and weekdays after 3. I have a fenced in back yard with plenty of room to run around. I have one friendly fur baby to keep your fur baby company! I can easily crate your dog and administer any meds as needed.

The day I dropped my Lucy off for day care, Janette was very understanding, due to the fact that my Lucy has been out of her element the last couple of weeks as we had recently sold out home and had been moving from a friends home to another friends home, finally settling into our extended stay until our new home is built. So Lucy has not been in her normal routine and a little clingy than normal. But Janette was understanding and very caring and accommodating. She was awesome with Lucy. “My Bailey's home away from home!! Ok so a little background- my dog Bailey is a rescue who was physically abused by her previous owner. For this reason, she is utterly terrified of new people because she has a natural distrust for people following early life events. Kristen and her family originally spent time coming to my house to walk Bailey and spend time with her, and Bailey had been doing well with the new dog walkers! However, after learning about Bailey's concerns, Kristen thought it may improve Bailey's situation to have her spend the day at doggy daycare, and let me tell you, she and her family have done an amazing job taking care of Bailey!!! I've never seen her so happy every day when I come to pick her up (and probably even more happy to be dropped off :P). It's only been a few weeks and I can already tell Kristen and her family are making her feel at home away from home, and carefully allowing her to interact with other dogs and humans when Bailey is ready. I've been absolutely overjoyed seeing her improvement in socialization skills, and, really, just how happy and comfortable she is; makes my day! On a side note, following several meetings with a Behavioralist, I'm actively training her to help improve her anxiety and fear toward people. Kristen understands how important this is and has been ensuring Bailey is trained (in the same way I'm training her for continuity sake) while at doggy daycare, since I don't have the opportunity to train her several times throughout the day during the work week. Her obedience has improved, and better yet, she's starting to see new people with a different outlook; she's excited to make new friends! Thank you Kristen!!”

About: I have been animal sitting since I was in single digits. Now I have my own well adjusted (mostly) fur babies that I care for. Rogue, Kevin, Remy and Bernadette are my world. In boarding situations a private space can be provided for your animal. Kennels and gates are available for separation if needed.

About: Growing up in the Hill Country, my family always had at least 4 pets at any given time. Usually no less than three dogs. I also volunteer at the San Antonio Humane Society when I can! Now, living in the city I don't have a dog of my own and am missing having a furry friend! This is not just a side gig for me but a way to be able to enjoy the company of my favorite furry friends! I'm currently in between work so I can dedicate my full schede to watching over your pets. Ideally, I'd like to find remote work so I can still look over your pets. First and foremost I give lots of love and attention! I have and do volunteer for SAHS and agree with most if not all of their policies on dog care. This means no use of fear, pain, hitting, or similar corrective actions. These behaviors have shown to suppress behavior without actually teaching the dog what you want and can create anxiety and even aggression. Dogs and cats have been a part of my life since I was a baby so I'm pretty familiar with their body language and try to be mindful of their needs. I consider them part of the family and usually treat them as such by ensuring they have a comfortable and pleasant environment. I think establishing a "safe place" for your pets to retreat to when they are feeling anxious is a great way to build strong bonds. My mom's dog, bullet, has one of the worst cases of ADHD I've seen in a dog and when he's feeling overwhelmed by too many guests in the house or strange weather, he likes to disappear deep into my mom's walk in closet.

“Things seemed to go well when we left our two pups a few days for the first time. She had lots of things there for them to play with and do. She had a full house of dogs when we got there drop-off day so it was a bit chaotic and one of our pups was very nervous about it, but seemed happy when we came to get her. Wendy was gracious enough to stay up late on pickup day when our arrival window ended up later than expected, which we were very appreciative for. Daily photos and updates were extremely appreciated as well. She was very good with communication.”
