When he was just a tiny puppy, I started training him. He continues to pick up new skills despite having many masteries. Jake and I spend a lot of time exercising because we enjoy being outside. Some days, we take a quick lap or two around the block, and others we go for a lengthier walk on the trails! I am currently unable to accept any pets for boarding or home-sitting for more than a few hours due to my work and academic commitments. Your pets will be treated the same way I treat mine: as members of the family. At times, my Jake virtually owns the home! While I do let my baby sit on my furniture, I will always abide by your house's pet-related rules. Just make sure to let me know what they are so I can make sure we're acting properly. Currently, I am not available at this time for pet boarding. I do charge for pet baths and it's arranged by weight. Rover only lets me set one price for all and I don't charge one price for all dogs. If they like to ride in the car they can run errands with me if necessary and I can get them to their groomer. If boarding at my house the animals are kept separate! I have divided yards and will start daily boarding April 15 2026 Sharla Johnson - I work part time from home So I am available during the day and for overnight stays! I am a non smoker if it matters and I can provide references. My overnight rate is not 24/7 stays. I can do that at a different rate I’ll care for pets in my clients home! About: Animals have captivated my heart; they are magnificent creatures that trust and love us no matter what. I treat our pets like children. We are a home based business that allows me to socialize them on a daily basis. I have worked at several animal care facilities over the years and learned a lot from them, so I am well-educated about animals. I started this business by prioritizing proper sanitation/care and safety procedures. My entire career has been animal-based; starting at 13, I began volunteering at shelters and stables. My first job was as a bather at a grooming salon; the lady taught me how to groom. My third & fourth job was at a vet hospital; I have probably done it. If you put that all together, I have decades of experience with animals. I adore animals and love what I do. I do not work a second job, taking care of animals is my main priority. Because I don't work a second job I am able to give my full attention to every pet on daily basis. I have an outdoor area for the Pets to use the restroom several times a day. We have a large 3500 square-foot building that can house 80 small dogs a day. I take pictures and videos daily and upload them to our Facebook page for owners to see how their babies are doing. I have worked at several veterinarian offices that have had me in kennel cleanup and so I do know the proper handling disinfecting and safety procedures that need to be performed daily.

When I 1st moved to Dallas my friend needed someone to let her dog out a couple times of day due to her long work hours. I was there to let Jackie out to potty and socialize. I became his Auntie Robin. Now every time I go to visit my friend he thinks I'm there for him and walk and play time. Of course I do this as he is so loveable I'm happy to go for a walk and play with my fur friend while visiting with my friend. I recently cared for my neighbors large and small dogs, 2 cats and a bird on a last minute need while they went away for the holiday weekend. I did home visit twice a day as requested. I would spend 30-45 minutes at the home as the owners requested. The dogs knew me & I was like family. They were happy to see me. I feed them, played with them, let them out to potty and gave appropriate treats for good behavior. My last day they dogs laid on top of me like I was their family. The dogs also listened to me when it was time to kennel them even though they didn't want to go in they did. I currently volunteer for the past 12 years with a domestic rabbit rescue. I go out to the rescue when I can to help, feed, care for special needs bunnies, clean up them yard/x-pens where the bunnies are housed. I give medication when needed. Including medication by means of oral, drops and shots. Including helping with the rescue I also foster bunnies in my home in addition to my 2 fur babies of lionhead bunnies. One of which can be seen in my pictures. Pet sitting/house sitting is my primary job. I enjoy spoiling my pets along with my clients pets. This makes my clients able to enjoy holiday or work trips without worry. As I make sure to treat the clients pet like my own and give lots of love and care like their human. About: I have worked consistently with a couple families and several drop in services for family friends! I have taken the wonderful doggos on walks, assisted with their medications, fed them, provided baths/brushed their fur, gave them extra pets/hugs. I can provide basic animal care, I always do my best to observe their body language as well to make sure they feel comfortable and safe. I have also helped with a special needs doggo who was blind, gave him his medicine, guided him through his backyard to use the restroom, etc. I would also love to provide any cleaning such as cleaning their bowls, vacuuming up any hair, cleaning crates, etc. I work 24 hours on/ 48 hours off at a time so I have a bit more free time and would love to be a helping companion to your sweet animals! I always listen to the let parents and how their schedule typically is and go off of that, I really do love animals so I’ll spend more time playing with them, especially if the doggo wants that play time and extra love!

About: I have had dogs my entire life, as a four years ago I got an orange cat and could not choose between either for the life of me. I cannot wait to meet and take care of your fur babies :) I am currently in nursing school only taking up 2 to 3 days a week. I am not available for on boarding in my home yet due to my animals.
