About: Cats hold a very near and dear, extremely special place in our hearts. Our names are Will and Kaeli, a young husband and wife duo with whole lifetimes of experience taking care of our own pets, which have always included both dogs and cats! In Will’s life specifically, he’s lived amongst at least three cats since he was three, coincidentally, and we both have always been drawn to our fuzzy, fluffy, ferocious little feline friends- both in our own homes, and whenever we see them outside on the roam (we keep our cats inside only for safety reasons both for their sake and wildlife sake). We love dogs, but we especially love cats, that’s why we have three of our own! And if we could have more, we’d start our own sanctuary! In a professional setting, we haven’t worked at any cat facilities, so our experience is exclusively taking care of our own, and other peoples’ cats when their families are away. Responsibilities have included daily check-ins, playtime, feeding 2+ times a day, refreshing water, tummy tickles, ear scratchies, litter box duty, treat time, and bird watching out the window. We have never had to administer medication to any cats but our own, but when we have, that’s included ear drops and the occasional flea and tick preventative care on the base of the neck. We’ve spent countless hours in our free time learning cat behavior and body language so we can communicate with our own kitties better, and so we can comfort and tell any cat we’re safe, calm, and will respect whatever boundaries they have without forcing them into any uncomfy situations. Contractors showed up unexpectedly during the week, and she thoughtfully asked if they’d be back so she could plan her visits around them; just to help minimize stress for Frida. That level of care and consideration meant so much. Her visit reports were incredibly thorough. She detailed every litter box scoop (including type), and when Frida got into human food in the pantry, she not only took photos but also made sure the food was secured so it wouldn’t happen again. At one point we thought our auto feeder had failed, and she troubleshot it until she confirmed it was working properly. Frida, who is usually shy, warmed up to her instantly and showered her with affection at every visit. It was clear she has a natural gift with cats; she truly is the cat lady of Lockhart. About: I grew up with dogs and cats, have fostered both and been a cat owner. I have also helped friends and acquaintances with their pets while they are away. My experience includes walking dogs, scooping 💩, changing litter boxes, providing food and play to pets, and completing general house sitting tasks. I have also administered eye medications to kittens before and allergy meds to dogs. I have also lived on a couple of farms and helped take care of horses, goats, chickens, and even a rabbit. Specifically, I am a Certified Public Accountant who quit her consulting job to become a part-time farmer! I am currently operating my own micro-farm growing organic vegetables and flowers in South Austin which allows my schedule to be very flexible. I am available for boarding, house-sitting, pet walking and drop-in visits to feed and play with cats and dogs (and other animals on a case by case basis). I am happy to visit and care for a variety of pets by feeding and playing with them as well as helping with any household tasks including plant watering, checking the mail and throwing out trash/recycling. I am currently living in a tiny home on my own on a large plot of land with plenty of access to unfenced outdoor space if you are interested in boarding your pets. I am also very happy to come to your home for drop-in visits and/or to stay overnight if you and your pets would be more comfortable with that option. For dogs, I am happy to spend time indoors with them playing with toys and giving them good belly scratches as well as take them outdoors either into the backyard and/or on walks. I have experience both with big dogs including a German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees lab mix, Australian Shepherds, and shelter dogs as well as smaller dogs including a Teacup Pomeranian and an Iggie. I’m very active, so if your dog has a lot of energy and likes to go on runs, I am happy to run with them as well. For cats, I am happy to match their energy levels - if they are playful and energetic, I engage with them and encourage play. If they prefer to sleep or rest or are more shy, I am happy to just be around and pet them/brush them if they would like or just give them space. I am happy to care for other pets if requested and I am comfortable with the care instructions. I have previously cared for a tortoise, which mainly consisted of feeding him and giving him water.
About: I’ve taken care of my own fur baby for 7 years now. Friends and family has relied on me to walk, feed, and take care of their pets as well. I do have another full time job so I’m mostly available in the evenings but I’m happy to squeeze in some times for walks and drop ins. I’m wide open on weekends. I walk my own doggo on three 10- 15 minute walks a day. I feed and bath my pup as well. Additionally, I give lots of cuddles and love.
About: I’ve had pets for as long as I can remember. From dogs/cats to hampers and lizards, I’ve cared for them. Animals are my passion! It’s not just a job, it’s my life. Two years ago we lost our 19 year old Labrador to old age. And the year before that we lost our 16 year old chow chow to old age. I will feed, water, walk and clean up after the babies.
