“Saphire was GREAT! I forgot about booking my normal kennel for winter break, and ended up looking to Rover to find a place for my dog, Callie. I was a little worried about leaving Callie at another person's house; while she is housetrained, she has shredded all the dog beds I've gotten her in the past, and still gets into trash. She can also be aggressive with protecting her food, and become very defensive when around certain dogs. After reading a positive review of a similar dog, I contacted Saphire and she assured me that my dog was in good hands. Throughout the trip, I got picture updates from Saphire as well as a DVD of all the pictures and videos from Callie's stay there. Callie had a BLAST playing with Saphire's own dogs as well as the other dogs being boarded and fostered, with lots of outdoor playtime, and she was completely worn out when I picked her up. Saphire even managed to get a bath in before I picked Callie up, even though she hates baths! I would highly recommend Saphire, and definitely plan to contact her again next time I'm traveling!”

About: I grew up in a home that always had dogs and cats. As I got older, we began fostering dogs and venturing into owning more exotic animals such as hedgehogs, tortoises, mini pigs, pygmy goats, and saltwater fish. Growing up we had a dog that had seizures. Since being an adult and living on my own since 2014, I have owned a French bulldog, two toy yorkies, saltwater fish, a Persian cat (who had a seizure condition), and two standard poodles. I absolutely adore any and all animal and love learning about new species and breeds. I briefly worked for a vet's office as a vet tech in 2015 and a doggy daycare (Planet Canine) from 2012-01/2014. Since 2015 I have dog sat periodically for family and friends. I enjoy taking my poodles on long walks in our neighborhood. I have experience with administering medications for my previously ill and senior dogs such as ear drops, oral tablets and liquid, and eye drops. I am reliable, detail oriented, and a lover of all beings big and small. I am a self-proclaimed helicopter dog-mom. I start my day by caring for my dogs before I get ready for the day. Either me or my husband comes home in the middle of the day and lets them free roam and play for a little while. My 9-5 is flexible which means I can normally leave during the day at any point if and I am typically available after 5 pm most weekdays. I like to be home by 9 pm at the latest. Weekends I am normally available 9am-9pm. Fridays are normally the most flexible day for me. I have a privacy fence, and both of our gates are locked on the inside. I closely watch my dogs when they are outside. I have ample spaces to allow for crates, big and small. When I care for pets in someone else's home, I will stay outside with them while they potty and stay near them when they eat. I typically will not leave pets alone with toys unless the parents specifically ask this of me.

Our home is equipped to watch over several dogs at a time and multiple dogs from each family. We typically spend most of our afternoons inside since Texas is hot and our doggies deserve to rest in our temperature controlled puppy house. In the evenings we will have our last potty break typically between 9:00-10:00pm before lights out. We have a security camera in our puppy area to keep a close eye on the pets in our care to ensure safety and comfort. My dog was extremely nervous about being left in an unfamiliar place, with an unfamiliar human and dog. She was trembling, but Melissa made her feel right at home, which in turn helped my family and I relax. Melissa was consistently communicative through messages and pictures, which further calmed our nerves and let us know Brooklyn was ok. All of her needs were met in an excellent manner. About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was little. I don’t have training experience, but I will do basic training with your dogs from what I’ve learned from taking my dog to obedience training. I will love and take care of your fur baby as if they were my own! Sorry, not sorry, if your pup comes back spoiled! I currently am a stay at home dog mom, so whenever your furry friend needs me I’ll be there! Maybe your furbaby can be friends with my furbaby! Your fur babies are allowed to roam free in my apartment. I have all kinds of toys for them to keep themselves busy and all the comfy places for them to lounge. I also have a nice size patio if your pet likes to sun bathe. There is a gated in dog park in the apartment complex that I will take them too if it’s too late at night for me to walk around,
About: I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, and even guinea pigs as pets throughout my life. I’m a big animal lover and have been since I was a little girl. I work full time for a local credit union Monday through Friday. I’m available all day on Saturday and Sunday to love on your animals. I have a fence around my yard where my Boston terrier can roam free. We also go on walks around the neighborhood with him leashed.

About: I have always had a love for animals. I love all kinds of animals especially cats and dogs. I have a cat and dog myself. I have grown up around many different types of dogs and animals. I would love to be able to get to know your animals and show them all types of love. I am a college athlete and I come home during christmas break and the summer. “Saphire was GREAT! I forgot about booking my normal kennel for winter break, and ended up looking to Rover to find a place for my dog, Callie. I was a little worried about leaving Callie at another person's house; while she is housetrained, she has shredded all the dog beds I've gotten her in the past, and still gets into trash. She can also be aggressive with protecting her food, and become very defensive when around certain dogs. After reading a positive review of a similar dog, I contacted Saphire and she assured me that my dog was in good hands. Throughout the trip, I got picture updates from Saphire as well as a DVD of all the pictures and videos from Callie's stay there. Callie had a BLAST playing with Saphire's own dogs as well as the other dogs being boarded and fostered, with lots of outdoor playtime, and she was completely worn out when I picked her up. Saphire even managed to get a bath in before I picked Callie up, even though she hates baths! I would highly recommend Saphire, and definitely plan to contact her again next time I'm traveling!”
