We both work from home full time, which leaves us with plenty of availability to have dog friends come stay with us! We go walking regularly, have a secure yard, and our house is very dog friendly. Both my husband and I work from home full time, so we are home all day long. We are able to accommodate regular potty breaks in our large fenced backyard, and typically do walks in the morning or evening. “Wow! What an amazing, dedicated young woman! She went past above and beyond. Our dog is a Malinois mix, and extremely territorial. Mikalah is such a dog lover, she got dog kisses on her first visit. On top of that, our dog was on at least 6 different medications. Mikalah handled this flawlessly. To make matters even more challenging, there was a HUGE snowstorm. I almost didn’t go on my trip, but Mikalah reassured me she would be there rain or snow. Schools and businesses closed, but she made it morning and night to our dog. So grateful to have found her!!!”
About: I have always loved cats, and had always been around them in some capacity growing up; Had outside cats, inside cats, befriended neighborhood cats and fed strays. I knew at a very young age that cats were just different and you needed to earn their trust and respect at their pace. I started working professionally with cats at my first veterinary job back in 2008, and it made me love them so much more. My first cat I adopted as an adult was a 16 year old tabby named Lincoln who was about to be euthanized for being bullied by the other 9 young cats at home. I said "absolutely not!" And I took him home, loved him, learned so much more about cats and he lived to be about 20 years old. I started working with rescues, with TNR projects, raising litters of kittens. I am just passionate about them. I'm patient, I understand their behavior and their language. I'm comfortable administering medications in any form (oral, injectable, etc.). Im comfortable caring for healthy cats, as well as those with special needs, and of course hospice kitties as well. I'm also always happy and ready to help with kittens. About: Over the past 5 years we had cats come to our home, found them on roads, and found them around my old high school. We have 8 kitties, 1 outside , 7 inside. I have cleaned 6 of the 8 cats myself when we rescued them, I am currently in college so I was not around when we rescued the 2 newest kitties. I took 5 of them to the vet and administered flea and worm medicine to them. Some of them also had eye/ear problems and I would take care of them by giving them eye/ear drops with no problem (I gave them treats so they would feel better!)

The dogs have free roam of the house. There is always food and water down. Treats given daily. I also have a doggy door. I have a fenced in yard but they will only go out to potty then come in and have free roam of my house. I free feed so there is always food and water down in 2 different heights. If you need more than one drop in per day, it's cheaper to book me over night, as it also saves me gas money. •View the Services Tab for pricing. •For out of town families, over 15 miles away from me, I will be charging a one time fee of $30 to accommodate for gas. Living in a rental, it's too much of a liability. Plus, it puts my own pets at potential risk of a safety breech. About: When I was younger we had 3 dogs, they were my best girls! Over the years we had rescued 8 cats, one of our cats may have some autism but she is so gentle and just needed some love. The trick is to let them come to you so they see you as a safe space! I currently work part-time but I am not working as much this summer, I may have a few softball lessons since I play college softball. My morning and afternoons are mainly free, in the afternoon is when I workout but I am very flexible! We used to have a fenced in area in our backyard for our dogs and a pool deck (no pool) but had to tear down our deck and now we have a beautiful grassy green area with lots of plants! About: I am currently a student of the University of Texas Arlington working on my Master’s degree in Social Work and I am hoping to make some extra money to help pay for some of the college expenses. A few fun facts about me are that I love playing sports, having movie nights, and cooking. Growing up, I had a ton of animals and currently I don’t have any pets so I miss loving on all the fur babies. I love spending time loving and playing with dogs and I believe this is a great opportunity for me to be able to do that, make a little extra money, and get some exercise in as well. I am working full time from 8:30am to 5pm, however, I would be open to doing a walk and check in during my lunch hour and anytime before or after work. When the pets are in my home, they are allowed to roam free and play all they want as long as they are potty trained. In the clients home I respectfully abide by the owners instructions left for me.
