“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alexus was absolutely amazing with Smokey while we were away on our cruise. Smokey can be very nervous and anxious in new situations, and he initially refused to eat, but Alexus was patient, caring, and determined to help him feel comfortable. She showed him so much love and attention, and before long he was settling in and doing much better. One of the things I appreciated most was the daily updates, photos, and videos she sent. They gave me tremendous peace of mind and reassured me that Smokey was safe, happy, and receiving excellent care. It was clear from every update that she genuinely cared about his well-being. Honestly, Smokey had a better experience with Alexus than he has ever had at a traditional boarding facility. In fact, when we came home, his greeting was surprisingly underwhelming because he had been having such a great time! I highly recommend Alexus to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and attentive pet sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future. About: I have worked at Petsmart before. At Petsmart we are required to know what makes a dog comfortable while at a public place or somewhere other than home. I have watched over puppies 2 and 3 months old for my in laws a couple times now. My parents got a kitten that I helped take care of till I moved out about 10 months later. I own a chinchilla which is an exotic small animal. I’ve had her for a year. I’ve been fascinated by pets since I was a child and always do my research before taking care of an animal. I look forward to being of assistance. I fluctuate between part time and full time. I’m usually free tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays. I can schedule the time off if it’s 3 or 4 weeks in advance. I usually work mornings except for mondays, when I work evenings. I can always visit the pup or kitty during break and then spend the rest of the day with them after work. This will most likely be temporary until I can get a solid schedule here or at Home Depot. My apartment complex is very pet friendly. My building is only a few steps away from a dog park inside of the complex. The clubhouse has dog treats and I can provide as well based on age and diet. I will always ask any questions about what you would prefer for your fur baby. I have a chinchilla that stays in a cage as long as your pet is around. She is curious and will not hurt your pet even if they stick a paw in between the bars, which is hard to do anyways. My living room is a large space for any pet. I’m currently working part time, but I’m willing to do weekly stays with 2-3 weeks in advance notice. I also will require meet ups before every service in a public place. This is not going to be required for existing clients. I live in an apartment so I don’t currently own any pets, but everyone in my direct and extended family either has, or has had one that I’ve grown up with. I’m very familiar with animal routines and attributes. If something is bothering your pet, I will notice. I always keep in constant contact with whoever I petsit or help take care of for anything I may notice. I have two senior dogs Julius the husky and Athena the border collie, as well as Theo the pomapoo who's 5. Big dogs are my favorite but I also love cuddling the little ones. I do not mind what you would call "aggressive" breeds. Husky's have also gotten a bad wrap about being "destructive" and for the most part, it's just not warranted. If I do feel aggression from your pup that could cause serious injury, I will step away from the home and call to ask for recommendations on how to approach them. If it does not seem to be working, I will work with you to find alternate care so that you aren't stranded. Dogs are allowed to have bad days too, and I won't give up easily.

“Mariah and her family are great!! I was going out of the country for a week and was able to contact her at the last moment to watch my 2 babies. My dogs loved their stay! My dogs are super sweet and friendly but can get a little anxious when meeting people or other dogs for the first time, but they immediately felt comfortable and safe in Mariah's home. She has 2 kids and a dog of her own that kept my pups playing every day. My dogs are super picky eaters too, but Mariah tried every tip I offered to get them to eat and eventually got them to eat using her own methods and food. Mariah's whole family loves dogs, and the love, care and patience she showed my 2 dogs allowed me to have a stress free vacation. I even enjoyed getting the daily pic updates while out of the country. I highly recommend Mariah to anyone who wants their dogs to recieve love and the best care when you have to go out of town for any period of time. As long as we're ij Vegas, I won't let my dogs stay anywhere else when I need to take a trip.”
