After leaving our pups with her and heading to Mexico, we learned that my big black and tan coonhound has a real separation anxiety issue, which our vet never mentioned. He was awful for her. Really awful. But she (and her family) treated him with love and kindness, even as he made life incredibly difficult for them. I won’t ever board Ulysses and someone else’s home, but I am grateful that I not only learned about his separation anxiety problem, but that he was in a place where he was cared for, even when it was hard to do so. Shyla is a great communicator, sending updates and pics multiple times a day, and quick to answer any questions we had. I cannot recommend Shyla highly enough.”

About: I have the ability to treat your fur babies just as I treat my own- like family. I'm a mom with a son who can be your dog's best stand in pal while you're away. I have a dog friendly vehicle that can take your babies to the park for a nice change of scenery. I also have experience walking larger dogs and puppies that pull on the leash. If your dogs got it, I can handle it! I have deshedding brushes and nail clippers for larger and smaller sized dog if your pup needs a little extra TLC between groomer visits. I also have harnesses in small-large sizes and all kinds leashes adequate for your dog's learning level for on leash walks. I've been around dogs my whole life and know what it takes to become a great, and trustworthy friend for your pup. My schedule is open mainly on the weekends and weekday evenings. About: Around two years ago, my friend and I were coaching a Little Diggers Volleyball team in our local town when we saw some kittens in a storm drain. We didn’t see their mother, and we sat there for about two hours waiting for her when she didn’t show, we decided to rescue the kittens, and I brought 2 into my own home. For about a year and a half, I raised the kittens and absolutely loved them. I decided they would get more freedom at my grandparents, farmhouse, catching mice and snakes, and they are healthy and happy there now! About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little, my parents have always had a lot of dogs. I always cared for them, my parents taught me how and they didn’t help after that. I always watched my parents friends dogs when they went out of town as well. I’m home full time, I’m a stay at home mom. I’m very flexible and open availability. About: I go above and beyond to care about pets because they deserve unconditional love! I own two of the most amazing and beautiful boys and I could not imagine a life without them. I will always make sure that pets under my care are taken care of properly and trained as part of their stay with me. I stay home which means your pets will not be unattended or kenneled throughout the day. I know it is important for pets to be comfortable, especially when staying with someone new to avoid anxious behaviors. Making sure that my boys get time to play and just relax around the house is very important to me and as such I will make sure that your pets get the same care. I have a fenced yard where your pet can play with my two boys if they so desire. They will be able to also play and relax in their own room while having the option to look out the window. Dogs can be kenneled if needed but won’t spend their day like that as I wouldn’t want my pets in a kennel for extended periods of time.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes ever since I was young, and as I got older, my love for them continued to grow. This passion was instrumental in deciding my future as I am currently studying at Texas A&M and finishing up my degree in Animal Science. I want to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and plan on applying to the Texas A&M Veterinary School in 2026. I have worked in two veterinary clinics, one of which was AHAA accredited and provided overnight boarding for both cats and dogs. Outside of my time in clinics, I have also studied in laboratories that were at the cutting edge of veterinary medicine. Although not as relevant to this service, I also have experience in exotic pet care, including lagamorphs, rodents, arthropods, and wildlife. My unique experiences have provided me not only with a vast of knowledge of animal medicine, but an understanding of animal communication and husbandry as well. I know that pets are held very close to our hearts, and if I am given the privilege to watch yours, I will use my knowledge, and, most importantly, my compassion to give them the love and care they deserve while your away. While I am currently in college, my work load this semester is very light as I near the end of my degree - only 8 hours a week. About: I am a college student athlete who always has and always will absolutely love and care for animals. With that being said, I love being active! I have owned and cared for many many animals aswell! Ranging from chickens to saltwater fish/corals! Back home (not the college station/Bryan home) we have a Great Pyrenees, and am well experienced with bigger breeds and understand their limitations but also their potential. I would love so much to care, sit, play, and walk with your fur babies as they deserve all the love in the world! As a student athlete my schedule mainly entails practice and home. I usually train 1-2 times a day and generally that is the only time I am away from home which is just a few hours. My number one priority is for your fur babies to get all the love and attention needed. Although I live in a condominium, it is rather large. There are several areas and trails to walk. Your pet would be allowed on all furniture and is offered all the outside time wanted with my wrap around patio and the many many walks taken throughout the day. About: I grew up on a farm. Have had numerous dogs, cats and other species. I have worked at a pet resort and am currently a vet tech working at a local hospital. I am currently doing school and working part- time, but I know how to manage my time in between. For example, I love taking dogs on walks and doing interactive activities with them! About: I have taken care of many cats included barn cats. I had a cat in college with my roommates that we picked up as a stray! Pet care is just part of my everyday life. I work Monday through Friday 8–5, but before work my dogs always get to run and play outside to start their day. After work, we go for a walk every evening and spend time playing, training, or just relaxing together. On weekends I have more flexibility, so we get extra time outdoors and lots of snuggles inside. I also keep up with the little things each week—like brushing, washing bowls, and freshening up bedding—so they stay happy and comfortable. About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was little, my parents have always had a lot of dogs. I always cared for them, my parents taught me how and they didn’t help after that. I always watched my parents friends dogs when they went out of town as well. I’m home full time, I’m a stay at home mom. I’m very flexible and open availability. I’m trying to make a some more money for my household. I have a fenced in backyard for your pet to play in while being supervised as well. I also live in a duplex in town.

“Shyla is wonderful. I cannot stress how wonderful she (and her family) are. This was the first time we boarded our pups somewhere other than their vet’s office. After leaving our pups with her and heading to Mexico, we learned that my big black and tan coonhound has a real separation anxiety issue, which our vet never mentioned. He was awful for her. Really awful. But she (and her family) treated him with love and kindness, even as he made life incredibly difficult for them. I won’t ever board Ulysses and someone else’s home, but I am grateful that I not only learned about his separation anxiety problem, but that he was in a place where he was cared for, even when it was hard to do so. Shyla is a great communicator, sending updates and pics multiple times a day, and quick to answer any questions we had. I cannot recommend Shyla highly enough.”

We can’t say enough good things about the family, and they worked with us on dropoff/pickup even though we booked with short notice.
