After leaving our pups with her and heading to Mexico, we learned that my big black and tan coonhound has a real separation anxiety issue, which our vet never mentioned. He was awful for her. Really awful. But she (and her family) treated him with love and kindness, even as he made life incredibly difficult for them. I won’t ever board Ulysses and someone else’s home, but I am grateful that I not only learned about his separation anxiety problem, but that he was in a place where he was cared for, even when it was hard to do so. Shyla is a great communicator, sending updates and pics multiple times a day, and quick to answer any questions we had. I cannot recommend Shyla highly enough.”

“This was the first time we had Robert dogsit for us. We hired him for a 3 night stay and I gotta say he was amazing! He took her for long walks and his 3 little doggies loved our baby! We got lots of updates and pictures. Our baby was smiling in every picture. A lot of other sitters had a stipulation that our dog would need to be in a crate at night but he allowed Layla to sleep on her own bed and move about at will. We highly recommend him and will be hiring him again!!!”

About: I’ve had pets for 6 years now. I got my first Ragdoll cat in 2020, then raised a black Labrador from a puppy in 2021. We spent a lot of time together and went on a lot of trips, so he’s pretty used to new places and changes. My friends used to call my pets “travel pets.” In 2024, I also got a Siamese cat. I’m very used to having pets around all the time and spending long hours with them. I really enjoy being with animals. Being around pets makes me happy and gives me a lot of energy, and I’m more than happy to spend time just hanging out with them, playing, walking, or keeping them company. I’m a PhD student at Texas A&M, and I mostly work from home since my work is computer-based. I don’t need to go into an office except for occasional meetings, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I usually like to take pets out first thing after I wake up, and during the day I have plenty of breaks where I’m happy to spend time playing with them or just hanging out. I’m around most of the day, so pets are rarely left alone for long periods. I’ve raised other animals in FFA for my high school years while alson having other house hold pets within the years ( rabbit, turtle, dogs, and fish). During the booking process I do ask for a routine so I can keep everything consistent. I do have doggie treats, extra blankets, training pads, and doggie toys I keep on stand by. In the morning I will open cages and let them move around freely aslong as im home and awake. If they need medication I have no problem giving it to them aswell, I do work from home so that will not be an issue.

I have a designated air conditioned area in my home where your pup will be able to hang out while I am at work. My work schedule Is set for the most part so I will be able to keep your pup on a good schedule while you are away. I have a soft spot for Pitbulls and their pet owners because I know how hard it is to get good help with that specific breed. You Won’t Regret It ❤️❤️ boarding Monday-Friday after 4pm or anytime on the weekend. If you are needing overnight care throughout the week I do have a designated area where your pup will be safe while I am at work. I have a fenced yard with sections so your baby can get some good out door time even if I do have multiple dogs. I also have a designated indoor area with a/c accommodation for this Texas heat. I do have 2 dogs who are very friendly but to keep your baby safe I am able to crate them and put them in a different fenced section during outdoor time.
About: As a kid my family had 12 dogs at once and I helped feed, bathe, take care of them. It was 4 large dogs and their pups. It was so fun and at that age I wanted to become a veterinarian so bad. Well, life happened and I became a mom but this is one way I can live out a small part of what I've had passion for since I was a kid which is caring for other people's pets. I'm a SAHM of 3 (stay at home mom) that doesn't really go anywhere during the week unless it's grocery pickup. I feel like it would be fun to have people's pets over and watch over them while their owners do what they have to do. On weekends I could go by myself to check on pets or walk them etc. I go outside with my kids most days. We have a nice yard with an awning for shade. My schedule is pretty flexible depending on the needs of your pet and if they like kids and are safe to have around them. I have a fenced yard with a large awning that keeps us cool . I'm open to having a crate stay at my house if you provide it if you need an over night stay. If I'm at a client's home I follow any instruction they give for their pet and home.

Dogs can be kenneled if needed but won’t spend their day like that as I wouldn’t want my pets in a kennel for extended periods of time.

About: I have loads of love to share with dogs and don't know life without them, large, small, outgoing, shy, many types. I've raised puppies, and I recently lost my elderly pit granddog mix of 14 years, she lived with me for the last 8 years. I am recently retired from education. I have a flexible schedule and I live in an older home with a large yard fenced with chain link. I currently live in a rural community and I'm willing to drive to pick-up and deliver your fur babies for an extra fee. I am also willing to drive to your location for pet/house sitting. The first 50 miles for free, $.20/mile 50-80 miles, $.30/mile over 80 miles. I have a fenced yard. Your fur babies can stay in house or outdoors as they desire. If they are in the back yard, I will either be out there with them or will be checking them frequently. They will not stay outside for extended periods with or without me in extreme weather. I have an older home with several rooms which can be closed/opened to configure different arrangements if a dog needs to remain on hard surfaces, however I prefer to have them with me in the same room so I can enjoy their company and keep an eye on them. It is a new environment for them!
About: I’ve been around and cared for dogs my whole life (well animals in general). Growing up we had small and medium dogs and now that I’m an adult I have a large goofy Weimaraner who is my everything. I also have 2 cats, chickens, cows, and have raised many other animals. After leaving our pups with her and heading to Mexico, we learned that my big black and tan coonhound has a real separation anxiety issue, which our vet never mentioned. He was awful for her. Really awful. But she (and her family) treated him with love and kindness, even as he made life incredibly difficult for them. I won’t ever board Ulysses and someone else’s home, but I am grateful that I not only learned about his separation anxiety problem, but that he was in a place where he was cared for, even when it was hard to do so. Shyla is a great communicator, sending updates and pics multiple times a day, and quick to answer any questions we had. I cannot recommend Shyla highly enough.”

About: I’ve had pets for 6 years now. I got my first Ragdoll cat in 2020, then raised a black Labrador from a puppy in 2021. We spent a lot of time together and went on a lot of trips, so he’s pretty used to new places and changes. My friends used to call my pets “travel pets.” In 2024, I also got a Siamese cat. I’m very used to having pets around all the time and spending long hours with them. I really enjoy being with animals. Being around pets makes me happy and gives me a lot of energy, and I’m more than happy to spend time just hanging out with them, playing, walking, or keeping them company. I’m a PhD student at Texas A&M, and I mostly work from home since my work is computer-based. I don’t need to go into an office except for occasional meetings, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I usually like to take pets out first thing after I wake up, and during the day I have plenty of breaks where I’m happy to spend time playing with them or just hanging out. I’m around most of the day, so pets are rarely left alone for long periods. I often watch my friends’ pets, especially when they go home for holidays or travel, so I’m used to caring for pets that are new to me. I’m pretty good at getting pets to feel comfortable quickly, and I always take things slow and let them set the pace. I keep my place clean and calm, and I’m careful about safety and routines. I want pets to feel safe and relaxed, not stressed.
About: I have taken care of many cats included barn cats. I had a cat in college with my roommates that we picked up as a stray! Pet care is just part of my everyday life. I work Monday through Friday 8–5, but before work my dogs always get to run and play outside to start their day. After work, we go for a walk every evening and spend time playing, training, or just relaxing together. On weekends I have more flexibility, so we get extra time outdoors and lots of snuggles inside. I also keep up with the little things each week—like brushing, washing bowls, and freshening up bedding—so they stay happy and comfortable.
