Two years ago we lost our 19 year old Labrador to old age. And the year before that we lost our 16 year old chow chow to old age. I will feed, water, walk and clean up after the babies. I'm able to visit at consistent times for feedings, walks, and playtime, and I'm flexible enough to adjust visit times if a pet needs extra attention or a different routine. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their established routines and rules as closely as possible so the pet's environment stays familiar and low-stress. I always confirm entry/exit procedures, secure doors and gates behind me, and check that food, water, and litter are addressed on schedule. I treat each home with the same care and respect I'd want for my own, and I stay attentive to a pet's body language and comfort level throughout each visit, always reaching out to the owner if anything seems off.
