“Lesley gave 5 star treatment to my 7 month old puppy, Skipper for an in-home stay. At first I wasn’t sure about leaving little Skipper with all her big dogs, but she suggested an initial meet and greet and it was apparent that Skipper would become part of the “gang.” Lesley even got Skipper to eat regular dog food! Skipper was well taken care of and will be visiting his new friends for drop in visits. Thank you Lesley!!!!!!”

About: I have been in love with animals since I was a baby. I grew up in a dog loving household. I have always had pets as long as I can remember. Dogs, cats, turtles, mice, fish, hermit crabs. My goal is to one day have a goat and a pig as well. I worked in a pet store that wolf puppies for 3 years and my primary job there was to take care of the puppies and to teach the perspective new families to potty train their new babies and what to expect for their specific breeds. I have also helped my parents train all of their dogs and sit for them when on vacation. It’s a full house but I love it. I currently work but have time in the afternoons and weekends to walk or check on your fur babies and let them go outside and play or just stretch their legs out of the kennel, whatever the needs may be. I have a large fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and play and a very friendly playful golden doodle that loves new friends. He gets along with all sizes and ages of dogs. My families dogs range from 3 lb yorkie to 90 lb golden doodle and a few in between. My baby is in his bedroom (kennel) when we are not home, one of my parents dogs does not require a kennel when we are not there so I do not require it as long as they are potty trained and do not chew.

I am generally gone for less then an hour or two but occasionally time away can be up to 4 hrs. I prefer pets that are crate trained for they find crates safe and comfy opposed to punishment. I just like to have this noted to be fair and honest. I absolutely need a meet with the larger dogs to be sure we are a good fit. I am always available for the tiny-medium dogs 🐕 🙂

I have had dogs from Great Danes, labs, bird dogs, Chihuahuas, Australian shepherds, border collies, healers, and Belgian malinois. all kinds of temperament and levels of care. I will have time available before and after work for drop in visits. I have a pretty flexible schedule and will do my best to accommodate your requested times! I make sure every pet I care for feels safe, comfortable, and loved in their environment, whether that’s in my home or yours. I know being around a new person or in a new place can be stressful, so I take things slow and let your pet warm up to me at their own pace. I do my best to stick to your pet’s normal routine to keep things familiar and stress free. I also pay close attention to their behavior and needs so they always feel secure. About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 46 plus years. I have experience with many breeds from 5 lb Teacup Chihuahuas to 155 lb Anatolian Shepherds. I’m a 66 year old retired electrical engineer with a lot of time on my hands. I’ve been looking for a rewarding way to spend some of that time. I’ve always loved dogs and would love to spend some time with yours. I currently have three dogs of my own that are house broken, kennel trained, friendly with children and other pets. My property has a fenced back yard that I clean at least twice a week. I treat it for fleas and ticks at least once a month, and twice a month during rainy times.
