I have had dogs ages newborn to 16+ in my care, so I have experience with all the life stages. I have experience training dogs of all sizes, from 5 pounds to 150 pounds. About: Hi! I’m a high school teacher who teaches culinary arts. At home, I have a golden retriever, Saffron and a Labradoodle, Leo. I have fostered various dogs for Big Fluffy Dog Rescue in the past and I have helped and run adoption events at Petco for about a year for Simpson County Animal Shelter/Friends of the Shelter in Franklin KY. I am a stay at home dog mom. I can pet sit any time of the day or week, for just a few hours, a day or overnights. I only leave the house to go to the store or run a few errands. Typically not out for extended periods. If I am dog sitting, I prefer to be at home as often as possible. I am always around my dogs. I have dog beds in all areas of the house. For Drop-Ins: I stop by for feedings and enrichment for between 30 minutes to an hour. I make sure they care squared away and everything is locked up before I leave. For Walks: It’s simple … we just go for walks. 30 minutes to an hour or whatever set path and time per appointment. For House-Sitting: I set a time for me to come over. I stay for the duration of the appointment set and bring my own necessities so that I don’t have to leave the premises. I stay within your home, where your babies are most comfortable, and provide them with company and a set schedule. Before I confirm a booking, I will ALWAYS set up a meet-and-greet. I need to be able to sit down with the fur-babies and parents so we can get a good view of the vibes and to see if I would be a good fit. These meet-and-greets are NOT OPTIONAL and refusal will result in a CANCELED BOOKING! Sitting should be a comfortable experience for pet, pet parent, and sitter. Checking the vibes and getting details is critical for success.

About: I worked in the vet industry since I was about 17 years old as a veterinary technician. I found another full time job in the healthcare industry in Cancer research about a year and a half ago. But I still kept my veterinary job until recently. I left the vet industry to open up my availability to be around animals in a more intimate way such as dog walking, house sitting, etc. I am experienced with most animals since I grew up with a lot of my own. Over the years my family has owned ducks, chickens, horses, chinchillas, cats, sugar gliders, dogs, bearded dragons, geckos, rabbits, cows and guinea pigs so I am experienced with several different types of animals! I go in office to work in Nashville a 1 day out of the week but I can always change the days around so I am very flexible! I’m currently working full time, however I have every Saturday,Sunday, and Monday off. I have open availability all 3 days. I could also possibly be available week nights if a drop in is needed. I also have open availability for house sitting including week nights upon request. As a pet owner myself to a goldendoodle and 3 cats I prefer to watch clients pets in their own home. I find that pets tend to tolerate a familiar setting, especially in possible stressful situations like their owner being away.

“My Labradoodle Bubbie was booked with Michelle over Memorial Day holiday. I was worried how Bubbie would act at first because he has some anxiety issues and wary of new people. Michelle let him get used to her at his own pace and within a few days he was lovingly laying in her lap and socializing with the other dogs. Bubbie came home happy and healthy just like his old self, which is the biggest compliment. I would definitely use Michelle again and recommend her to anyone!”

“Cody was awesome. We have a large male German shepherd who is scared of his own shadow and he gave Cody a run for his money the first few days. Cody was very accommodating and took him a day early so we could leave for our vacation early. He sent me a picture just about every day. Communication was an A plus, We messaged everyday and he was quick to reply back. Very friendly. I know they went for some very long walks which my boy needed and loved. Thank you Cody.
