“Cynthia and her husband was amazing! They were able to take care of pur dog and ferrets last minute (with only a 5 minute warning if that 😅) and made them feel right at home. Our dog Molly and our ferrets get super stressed when we leave them home so we took them on vacation with us but we needed someone to take care of them while we did activities and Cynthia did not hesitate taking them- even on a Saturday. Molly went right to them with no problem and no hesitation- she fit right in and didn't seem stressed or sad at all when we got her back. Cynthia communicated very well and even sent pictures of Molly and our ferrets and they looked like they were right at home and happy as can be!!! Way better than the daycares that have at least 10 other dogs and usually stick the dogs in a concrete kennel most of the day. About: My first word was kitty. Not kidding! Since my very first word, animals of all kinds have always been a huge part of my life. I have either owned or cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, fish, birds, frogs, horses, goats, and…well, the list goes on. Not matter what four legged (or more or less legged!) friend you need care for, I’m your girl. I have experience caring for all ages (bottle-fed to seniors) all sizes, and many, many different needs. I am experienced in providing wound care and other medical needs, and I am comfortable with animals of all temperaments. My years of experience has taught one thing: ALL animals are unique, and each needs to be cared for individually. I look forward to learning the unique needs of your pet and caring for them accordingly! My work is freelance and gig based, so I often have large stretches of time open and my day to day routine is very flexible. I typically try to book Housesitting stays about a month in advance, but if I am available, I am happy to book last minute! Call it a cruel twist of fate, but my landlord doesn’t allow pets. So, I have TONS of love to share with yours! While I won’t be bringing any of your furry friends home with me, I am always willing to come to them and provide care in the space they are most familiar with and comfortable in. You pet has a routine, and it’s my goal to help make sure that routine is carried out whether you’re at work or out of the country. For dogs who love getting out and exploring, we frequently visit the Greenway for leashed walks, and I’m happy to provide other outings when appropriate for your individual dog and with your permission. I drive a roomy Kia Telluride, so I have plenty of space for comfortable transportation—and dog hair definitely doesn’t scare me! 😂 Playtime can get messy, and that’s perfectly okay! If your pup loves water, mud, or somehow manages to find every dirty spot possible, I’m happy to provide a bath upon request. I’m also comfortable following established care instructions for medicated baths when needed. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. I’ll follow your instructions regarding leashes, crates, feeding, medications, interactions with other animals, and anything else specific to your pet. I want to know their quirks, likes, dislikes, house rules, and the little things that make them feel secure. Most importantly, I want you to be able to enjoy your time away without constantly wondering whether your pet is okay. About: I’ve cared for dogs for several years and truly love being around them! Before moving to Chattanooga, I cared for the same family’s dog for over two years, building a strong bond with both the pup and the family. I’ve also worked as a nanny, where I was responsible not only for the children but also for their family dog—making sure they were walked, fed, and loved. I now have a puppy of my own, so I understand the daily needs, attention, and patience dogs require at every stage. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family! I work during the weekdays, but I’m fully available in the evenings and at night for walks, drop-ins, or overnight care. I’m also completely free on weekends. In my home, pets get a safe, clean, and cozy space with lots of love and attention. I stick to their usual routine as much as possible. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I could walk and i’ve loved every minute of it! I can care for your young fur babies and your senior fur babies! I can administer medicine if they need it and I can provide them with exercise as I have a fenced back yard or we can go on walks! I have four pets of my own (2 cats) and 2 dogs (a basset hound and chorkie). who also love other animals! Boarding wise I will be here with your pet the entire time as I stay at home! I will do my best to make them comfortable while their parents can’t be here! I stay at home so any schedule they are on I can easily accommodate to make sure they aren’t confused whenever they aren’t at home! If coming to your house I will make sure they are comfortable with me before hand and give them all the lives while I am there! When boarding they will have two other dogs to run and play with or I can easily keep them separated if need be!

I will do anything to ensure health and happiness for your pets even if it is merely sitting with them and providing company and love. I have experience with administering medication, dog walks, continuing a training regimen set by owner or introducing new behavioral solutions, caring for high anxiety animals with patience and gentleness. Also I have experience in caring for geriatric and special needs animals: diaper changing, getting pets in and out of wheelchairs, and care and cleaning for incontinence. I’m currently working Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm, I get an hour lunch from 11:00 to 12:00pm so I could check on animals during lunch and then of course be with them at all times outside of this work schedule, I’m off Saturday and Sunday. “Cynthia and her husband was amazing! They were able to take care of pur dog and ferrets last minute (with only a 5 minute warning if that 😅) and made them feel right at home. Our dog Molly and our ferrets get super stressed when we leave them home so we took them on vacation with us but we needed someone to take care of them while we did activities and Cynthia did not hesitate taking them- even on a Saturday. Molly went right to them with no problem and no hesitation- she fit right in and didn't seem stressed or sad at all when we got her back. Cynthia communicated very well and even sent pictures of Molly and our ferrets and they looked like they were right at home and happy as can be!!! Way better than the daycares that have at least 10 other dogs and usually stick the dogs in a concrete kennel most of the day. You can tell Cynthia and her husband loves animals and cares for them and the animals can sense that. I counld not thank them enough for making their schedule work last minute and for caring for my babies as their own!!!! 🩷”

I currently have three English Springer Spaniels of my own, so I’m VERY familiar with energetic, playful, affectionate—and sometimes very needy!—dogs. 😂 I understand that some pets need much more than a quick potty break. Whether yours needs a good walk to burn off some energy, lots of playtime, extra cuddles and attention, or simply someone nearby to keep them company, I’m happy to meet them where they are. My experience goes beyond dogs, too. I’ve cared for cats and currently have a snake of my own, so I’m comfortable around a variety of animals and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and individual needs. I also have firsthand experience caring for pets who need a little extra attention. One of my own dogs is prone to recurring skin issues, so I’m very familiar with the additional care that can come along with that. I’m comfortable following established care instructions, including medicated baths and other routine at-home care, when provided by an owner or veterinarian. I’m attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, bathroom habits, mobility, or anything else that seems unusual. If an emergency were ever to occur while your pet was in my care, I would never hesitate to contact you and seek appropriate veterinary care. Your pet’s safety and well-being will always come first. There are no children in our home, and our own animals are friendly, well-trained, and accustomed to being part of an active, pet-loving household. I’m also happy to arrange a meet & greet beforehand so everyone can get acquainted and we can make sure your pup feels comfortable. For dogs who love getting out and exploring, we frequently visit the Greenway for leashed walks, and I’m happy to provide other outings when appropriate for your individual dog and with your permission. I drive a roomy Kia Telluride, so I have plenty of space for comfortable transportation—and dog hair definitely doesn’t scare me! 😂 Playtime can get messy, and that’s perfectly okay! If your pup loves water, mud, or somehow manages to find every dirty spot possible, I’m happy to provide a bath upon request. I’m also comfortable following established care instructions for medicated baths when needed. Safety and trust are extremely important to me. I’ll follow your instructions regarding leashes, crates, feeding, medications, interactions with other animals, and anything else specific to your pet. I want to know their quirks, likes, dislikes, house rules, and the little things that make them feel secure. Most importantly, I want you to be able to enjoy your time away without constantly wondering whether your pet is okay. I’m happy to send plenty of photos and updates so you can see that they’re safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention. “Elaina took such great care of our Stella! She consistently sent updated pictures and videos of Stella and provided daily updates on her well-being. Stella received lots of loving attention just like at her home. We felt happy that Stella acted and looked very happy in every pic that was sent. Stella came back clean, and calm seemed to be so relaxed. We will be using Elaina again!! Great backyard for an active dog like Stella. She seemed to have made a new friend with "Bug", their dog and their sweet two-year-old daughter.”
