About: All my life, I have been around dogs. I currently have a sweet boy, Winston, who is a Pit Mix. I’ve had several different dogs over the years and have assisted family and friends with pet care. I also have previous work experience with a pet boarding and grooming facility in Baton Rouge. From having experience in a professional setting and having experience caring for pets at home, I find the at home care to be much more comfortable for the pet- which is why I decided to register here! I love making the pets and their owners feel as comfortable as possible. A personal touch- I like to take funny/cute pictures of what we do and send them to you once I’ve completed the service! “Amanda has been fantastic - she drove over before our initial dates to do a meet and greet with all of the animals as well as give us a chance to show her where everything was at. We had initially scheduled her for later dates but we had an emergency and needed her the next day over the holidays, and she was thankfully available. She sent photos and info everyday to check in and the kitties and chickens were all doing well upon our return. About: I’ve spent my whole life around dogs and cats. I love taking them for walks, the park or helping them learn to swim. I know the importance of giving dogs medications and taking them to appointments. I also keep dogs well groomed while I watch them I currently work full time 5 days a week but but will spend all my free time taking care of your pets. About: To comfort any animal brings comfort to myself. I have experience with all kinds of pets and love all animals but cats are what you’d find in my home. It’s a common misconception that cats don’t require much attention but as a domesticated animal they thrive on human companionship while also having many natural instincts to accommodate. Some require more attention than others depending on their personality. One of the most important instincts to satisfy is the need to hunt/play. There are some automatic or interactive toys that work well but for the most part the best toy is something on the end of a string attached to a wand/rod and their human’s participation. This way you can mimic the evasive movements of an actual prey for your cat to hunt. This provides exercise and stimulation and I would be happy to play with your cat(s) I’m very good at befriending anxious or less trusting cats and identifying the things that exacerbate their anxiety and finding solutions to comfort them. I also have experience administering medications. With a cat the easiest route of administration is a liquid solution mixed in with some wet food or treat or squirted into the back side of the mouth with an oral syringe. Giving a cat a pill can be more difficult but it can be done. I would wrap them in a towel or blanket, lubricate pill so it doesn’t stick to fingers or tongue, tilt head back and insert pill into back of the mouth, return head to level position and rub their throat and/or slightly blow on the nose to stimulate swallowing reflexes, then give them a treat and love them! When possible I scoop our 3 cats’ boxes after every use. I’m happy to clean and scoop your cat’s box(es) with the same vigilance. A clean litter box is one factor in ensuring a healthy and happy cat!

About: People always ask me to dog sit their fur babies because they know how much I love animals! I’ve had pets since I was a little girl. I currently have an 8 month old Shih Tzu and a Maine Coon cat. Both are great with other animals. I am available any time, day or night. I am a real estate agent, so I set my own hours, which is very convenient. I mostly work from home, unless I’m out showing houses or attending closings. I am married and have two little girls that are ages 7 and 11 years old. My daughters are also animal lovers, and love helping me take care of other people’s pets. We have a large front yard and a long driveway, so there is plenty of room to run, and we are not too close to the main road. Their are lots of trees and neighbors are pretty spread out.

I’ve been trained by a very well known doggy daycare facility on the proper techniques to help all animals feel welcome in my home. Your pet will never be alone when they’re boarding with us and will not be locked up. About: I’ve had animals my whole life. Dogs, cats, snakes, lizards or anything that would come home with me. I currently have 3 dogs, one is a partially blind and completely deaf Aussie mix. And then I have a Catahoula mix and a shihtzu mix as well as a cat. I’ve trained them over the years I’ve had them while working a full time job and living alone. I’m extremely patient when comes to the higher energy dogs that usually frustrate people, and I’m used to working around special needs. Animals have always been my biggest passion, regardless of if they have fur or scales! I owned 2 horses over the last 10 years, and volunteered at the barn I had one of my horses boarded at, so I had to feed and tend to 15 horses on my days to feed. Regardless of what kind of pet you have furry or scaly, they will be taken care of as if you were still home doing it yourself! I’m not working right now, but I am a new mom. I’m able to do drop ins and walks after 6pm for anyone who is uncomfortable or who’s furry friends don’t like kids! My little is only 2 months old, so he stays in a baby wrap on me for drop ins and walks before 6pm and I either wear him or put him in the stroller for walks. But that depends on the dog and their comfortability. After 6pm dad is home and can watch little so I can be baby free! Dogs are still a very important part of my life. All pets in my care will be cared for exactly how the paw-rents see fit! Being an equestrian I’m used to caring for multiple animals and them all having different needs and demands! I will play with your pet so they get plenty of mental and physical stimulation while you’re away to make it easier on them! Reactive dogs are welcome as long as we can be safely introduced and proper tools to keep everyone safe are available! My deaf dog is reactive, so I understand how hard it can be to trust them with another person.

About: I currently work at Mann Veterinary Hospital in Owens Cross Roads, working towards my dream to become a vet tech and one day, a veterinarian! There, I work with dogs all day long! i can also walk your babies and give baths! I can’t wait to work with your fur babies! i will be leaving for basic training feb 23rd, therefore i wont be available for a while! I typically work every other weekend, sometimes every two weekends, so message me beforehand! I get off at 5 everyday, and I’m off every Wednesday ! I will never walk your dog without a leash. I will always make sure your pet has plenty of water and food when néeded! If needed, I can easily crate your dog!

Before moving to Chattanooga, I cared for the same family’s dog for over two years, building a strong bond with both the pup and the family. I’ve also worked as a nanny, where I was responsible not only for the children but also for their family dog—making sure they were walked, fed, and loved. I now have a puppy of my own, so I understand the daily needs, attention, and patience dogs require at every stage. I treat every pet like they’re part of the family! About: I’ve had several different kinds of animals over my almost 30 years of life, and I consider myself a HUGE animal lover. I’ll take care of your babies as if they were my own… I’d own them all if I could! I work full time during the week, but I am available Friday-Sunday for boarding, or walks any time of the day! I’d love to get to know your fur babies! I have a fenced in backyard, with a doggy door to my back door- that can easily be closed off/shut. I have a spare bedroom so your baby could have its own room while visiting, or can easily spend the night in my room & share each other’s company!

I am an avid runner who could always use a running buddy, but I also love just taking a stroll - whatever exercise or stimulation (when applicable) your dog may need will be provided. Pet sitting is my passion and full time “job”. Going a day without petting, snuggling, or just coming into contact with an animal is not possible! When I care for pets in YOUR home, I always make sure your house is better than when you left it. Mail/packages will be collected, plants will be watered, and your fur kid will play inside or outside (depending on each pet needs and parent requests).
About: I’ve been around cats and dogs my whole entire life and love playing with, caring for, and with interacting them. Animals are precious souls and deserve to be treated as such. I love walking, playing fetch, and interacting with them! I am completely free every day of the week (Monday through Sunday) at any time. I can drop in, walk your pet(s), or stay overnight. I will do anything to ensure health and happiness for your pets even if it is merely sitting with them and providing company and love. I have experience with administering medication, dog walks, continuing a training regimen set by owner or introducing new behavioral solutions, caring for high anxiety animals with patience and gentleness. Also I have experience in caring for geriatric and special needs animals: diaper changing, getting pets in and out of wheelchairs, and care and cleaning for incontinence. I’m currently working Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm, I get an hour lunch from 11:00 to 12:00pm so I could check on animals during lunch and then of course be with them at all times outside of this work schedule, I’m off Saturday and Sunday. I will be offering all services except for boarding in my own home because present circumstances prevent me from doing so. If I sit for you in your home I will treat it with the utmost respect and abide by any and all guidelines you provide including cleaning up after any pet incident, bathing, playtime, etc.

Fence climbing dogs should not come here because there is a fast road adjacent to the slower road that I live on. When I leave to run errands I will sequester my cats in another room from the dogs. I go with the flow, and understand every animal will behave differently so please let me know if your baby has any special needs or habits!

About: All my life, I have been around dogs. I currently have a sweet boy, Winston, who is a Pit Mix. I’ve had several different dogs over the years and have assisted family and friends with pet care. I also have previous work experience with a pet boarding and grooming facility in Baton Rouge. From having experience in a professional setting and having experience caring for pets at home, I find the at home care to be much more comfortable for the pet- which is why I decided to register here! I love making the pets and their owners feel as comfortable as possible. A personal touch- I like to take funny/cute pictures of what we do and send them to you once I’ve completed the service!
