About: I have taken care of many different types of animals since a young child, including cats, dogs, reptiles and fish. It is my responsibility as a pet owner to ensure that the pets environment is suitable, and that I educate myself to provide them the best life that I can. I have a part-time job currently working in retail. I typically work about 25 to 30 hours a week however, my shifts are pretty short usually 5 to 6 hours max so with that being said, I’d like to use as much of my free time outside of work, taking care and sitting for pet owners. I see this as a great opportunity to do something that I love while also being able to add it to my résumé, so that way one day I can apply to work at a zoo and take care of many other animals. With my three cats, two lizards and many fish, I wake up every morning to my cats at my bedroom door asking to be fed, so that’s usually how I start off with pet care for the day. Then I move onto my tanks containing my reptiles and fish. The responsibilities there include turning on their tank lights and checking if they need water and/or food. Occasionally, one of my geckos will allow me to handle her so I might take her out out of the tank for a few minutes if I have time but other than that, I just ensure to keep a close eye on them and check on their needs constantly.

“There couldn’t be a better dog sitter/boarder than Glenn! He took such great care of Daisy and she really loved him. She was the only little dog among a Pyrenese, greyhounds, pitbull, and other big dogs but she was in heaven. Guess they made good blankets! Glenn met with us first to ensure she would be fine with them, and I think she would have stayed forever! I got lots of pics and movies over the 4 days. I’d give him 100 ? if I could.”
